MUGUS MISPLACED MONEY |
Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has through a recent interview with the Guardian revealed his experience with fans in Nigeria. Iwobi was born in Lagos in 1996 but had to move two England with his parents four years later. He joined the Arsenal academy at the age of six and has since progressed to the first team. The 20-year-old made the decision to play for Nigeria when he was also eligible to play for England and according to him, the attitude of fans in the United Kingdom is far different from what he met in his native land. He stated that while English fans are fond of demanding selfie shot and autographs, Nigerian supporters only ask for boots and money. “Everyone appreciates you. You’re almost like a king!” he says. “When I arrived at the airport I thought, I’ll just have my earphones in, but everyone was like ‘Iwobi! Iwobi!’ Oh gosh. Hi guys! I didn’t know what to expect. It was just mad. "I always go with Kelechi Iheanacho. When we go we get escorted. Because I’m not used to the Nigerian culture as much as they are, they do help me with it. I can’t really speak the language that well. "They help me with the fans. The fans are very different there. They don’t ask me for autographs, they ask for boots, money.” I know this will make some of his Nigerian fans be like: "Shey him dey craze ni? Who him epp?" but what he said is the truth. Take it or leave it, Africans do not appreciate celebrity autographs as much as those in the Western world. They prefer money and other material things. Funny enough na true him talk.. don't come here and start abusing him |

According to the reports, people thronged to the place to see the mysterious site as many began praying for forgiveness and blessings, of which some claimed to have been benefitiaries. Sunday Punch reports that the cross which was illuminated seemed projected onto the ground. A 15-year-old girl, Hajara Hussaini, told the publication that she first sighted the sign of the cross on Wednesday, September 27. The disclosed that she observed the strange sight when she was sent on an errand by her parents. She explained that when she saw the strange light, she was immediately alarmed and ran back home to inform her mother, Matan Liman. Matan confirmed the incident, saying that she had sent Hussaini to visit her grandmother and that she noticed the crucifix on her way back from that visit. Speaking with Sunday Punch, The Chief Imam of Assakio Central Mosque, Muhammed Iliyasu, explained to correspondents that the appearance of the cross within the premises of the mosque was a revelation from God, which according to him, affirms that “Jesus is also a prophet of God.” Rev. Micheal Dogo of the Evangelical Reform Church of Christ, Assakio, saw the appearance of the cross as a sign of reconciliation in the community. Eyewitnesses at the scene were overwhelmed by fear and bewilderment. One of the residents of the area, Grace Eze , who hails from Enugu state, claimed to have been healed after a visit to the sight. “I underwent a surgery about two years ago after which I started to experience a movement in my body. But after praying before the cross, I got healed,” she said... http://pulse.ng/gist/innasarawa-residents-thrown-into-confusion-as-mysterious-cross-appears-in-mosque-id5558454.html
