daddytime:No spinners can change the narrative here; Sanwolu purely admitted that the military committed the act. He literally mentioned the Comander-in-Chief of the armed forces as accomplice. |
stephanie11:Wow. Lagos state governor has recommended president Buhari for prosecution by the International Criminal Court at The Hague. |
ogododo:It’s no more possible for the so-called Nigerian leaders to come together to find a common ground to make the different nations forced into country Nigeria to coexist in one Nigeria. Britain gave independence to Nigeria formed by 3 regions with balance of power between them. But later, Nigeria was recreated by northern military dictators who gave 20 new political units to one region, gave an average of 8.5 new political units to western and eastern region each. That arrogated excess political power to the northern region. No political restructuring can bring back the balance of power between the three founding regions. |
Archbishop, Please help humanity in Nigeria. They are over 200 million trapped in the contraption created by Great Britain. Let the UN order a REFERENDUM on Nigeria, immediately. More than 3 million lives have been lost in Nigeria since 1914 over the wars resulting from the inadequacies of having one Nigeria. |
OMG, Buhari’s Christian friend has joined the discourse. A Christian friendly with an unrepentant Islamic leader who believes in Nigeria to use Islamic Sharia criminal justice system. How come the friendly relationship? |
Angelfrost:Much of the money said to be stolen by Okorocha must have gone into building this Eastern Palm University which Okorocha cleverly registered with NUC as state government university. But what has governor Hope Uzodinma done to use the university for education needs of people in Nigeria long after an Ihedioha government Committee of mostly professors from the state advised IMSG to use Eastern Palm University for Imo state university?
|
IMSUTH functioned optimal a few years after it was established. In fact, it was rated among the first best ten teaching hospitals in Nigeria then. Once the governor who established IMSUTH left office, conspiracy politics between successive governors and people who believe that every government development institution must be near the state capital dwarfed IMSUTH. Ohakim and Okorocha governments arrested development of IMSUTH. These people believed they were punishing the governor who established IMSUTH, to the extent of refusing to reconstruct dilapidated road leading to the teaching hospital, removed expensive hospital equipments in the teaching hospital to open new hospitals in the state capital. |
Rugaria:Words on marble. They are laughable who ask others to resort to the National Assembly where many groups are under represented due to lopsided political structure created by northern soldiers to favor northern Nigeria. |
Rugaria:Wrong./ He then has the opportunity to chose who thinks more or less like him to succeed himself. |
adenigga:Those who the gods want to kill, they first make made. Britain is not going to fight for one Nigeria again. |
Wow. Beautiful. So Lagos state development is not all about Lagos alone. See good roads in Epe. In one Heartland Southeast State, it’s impossible to see road like this outside the state capital. |
Abagworo:Governor and charity? So a seating state governor could use government influence to acquire acres of land, use government funds to build a university on the land, then donate the university to a charity organization? Oroooooo!! You think people are fools? Hopefully, Rochas Okorocha is not in the same mindset of yours, if he is, Eastern Palm University shall continue to decay. If you know the array of lawyers waiting for any day any private individual or organization would put up claim to part or full ownership of Eastern Palm University .. |
Abagworo:Okorocha can’t donate Eastern Palm University he doesn’t own to IMSG. Eastern Palm University is property of IMSG. Rochas Foundation is affiliated to Rochas Okorocha, therefore can’t lay any part ownership of Eastern Palm University built when Okorocha was on seat as governor of Imo state. Nigeria’s Laws forbid that. Conflict of interests: Okorocha knows the provisions of Code of Conduct Bureau for elected political office holders; perhaps, Abagworo does not know. Who conducted a poll where Imolites rejected Eastern Palm University for IMSU site? Figments of your imagination? Lemme gist you what is holding Eastern Palm University from take off as IMSU Campus: gov Hope Uzodinma’s type of politics. |
Abagworo:In bold. Ownership of Eastern Palm University. Where has it been contested by Rochas Okorocha, since Ihedioha government Committee ascertained that it’s wholly owned by IMSG? In your closet? Where have you seen a seating state governor build a university and own it, or have his associate own it, after he left office? In your closet? The laws of Nigeria forbid that. You are not speaking Okorocha’s mind anyway. Okorocha would not be so foolish to believe that he or any private organization can own Eastern Palm University. Okorocha was not foolish when he registered Eastern Palm University as state government property. FYI, the 10%/90% IMSG/Private ownerships of Eastern Palm University was a tactic by Okorocha government then to distract hostility and continue to build the university to completion. Imo people CAN NEVER let go Eastern Palm University to any private entity. Problem now is that edifices not put to use easily start to rot. |
tonydodo:Lol. Who dash monkey banana? |
Until Orji Uzo Kalu is made president of Nigeria, he can’t stop spewing rot. |
For the 8th time in his life - once or twice as military HoS. How far Nigeria that’s apparently made for PMB? |
But PMB is sinking the little oil proceeds into digging for crude oil in his Sahel region in northern Nigeria. What an irony.
|
Budget since 1960. No electricity, no pipe borne water, no good road - the three most modern necessities for mankind in the 21st Century. Who budget epp? Only politicians’ private bank accounts. |
eaglenewshour:But you can’t be attracted to an exceptionally intelligent but ugly girl. So? |
FarahAideed:Once Lagos is more developed than any city in the South East, those set of Yorubas are okay . Wole Soyinka’s blurred reference to the East as village is their lamp post. |
tollyboy5:Ha ha ha. Some Yaribawa don’t understand that one Nigeria is a great obstacle to development of Lagos and rest of Yoruba land. |
Yampotatocarrot:Ihedioha government committee ‘recovered’ Eastern Palm University for Imo state. But Ihedioha did not start to use Eastern Palm University until Hope Uzodinma became governor. Hope Uzodinma sees himself as political enemy of Okorocha. Uzodinma has not said a word about Eastern Palm University. |
robosky02:Wow. Adams Oshiomwole will fall for this.
|
oshozondii:Buhari’s cutting corners to save money to fund railways and gas pipeline projects extension to his kin in Niger Republic. Where were these governors when Buhari started to plot for these projects? |
Good job. Self help is how we have been doing it in the East since after he civil war; as Nigeria’s government after government ignored the East but build big hospitals in rest of the country. But today, Nigerians have to go abroad for true hospital medication. |
marshman293:Other states are celebrating giant strides. Yes. Edo state for example. Adams Oshiomwole as Edo state governor built a university near his village in Edo north. Oshiomwole’s successors converted the university to a state university. Okorocha govt built university in Okorocha’s village, registered it as State university. But successors of Okorocha watch the university rot. Some people from a greedy group in Imo would not even want the university mentioned anywhere. Some people of Intelligence by half in Imo state. It’s not permitted in law for a state governor to privately build a university and own it partly or wholly, after leaving office. |
marshman293:Imo state gone the moment one group in the state lobbied for or watched as Futo, Nekede Poly, AICE were in existence in Owerri, yet Enwerem located Imsu in Owerri. Fercolat came - in Owerri. Imopoly came - very close to Owerri. Orlu and Okigwe are left to develop from nothing. Same group now tells us that the university which Okorocha government built in Ogboko is substandard, but same people take their kids to the numerous CITY SCHOOLS in Owerri built by Okorocha. The City Schools- they don’t see as substandard. |
B2mario:Imposter? You don’t know the meaning of the word: imposter. You, from Orlu? Never! Not after I took time to explain to you the old tradition of placing Communities one after the other in Orlu area. The grading during the “Oriri” festival of Orlu area starts from Ugbelle Conmunity which is the head Community entitled to host Oriri festival first, followed by Orlu Community, followed by Umuna Community- and so on. It’s like you come to Nairaland merely to put down figments of your imagination online, insult whoever disagrees with you. |
WoundedLamb:Survival in a country you call yours is first and most important, not economic benefits in belonging to one big country. |
If Lecheistein in Europe is a sovereign country, why can’t Western Togoland be a sovereign country? It’s never possible to have the Uk and France to be one country. Europeans pooled nations in Africa to one country knowing full well that internal wrangling would never allow such countries of different nations to survive. Nigeria has remained the most dysfunctional country on earth. |

The Nigerian people or a Nigerian army dominated by notherners with a nothern C-in-C? And why should we,the rest of the country not start towards other alternatives if both Buhari and the skewed national assembly continue to pursue sectional interests rather than the collective interests on sundry issues??
