Senator Okorocha promptly announced to his colleagues in the senate to address him as Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, not as Senator of Orlu zone. People say that the Political leaders from the zone are like bewitched to never have anything to do with development in the zone. |
Imo people should be asking for what hit their state since 2007. |
sanctity454:Uzodinma still on building in Owerri. For 8 years, Okorocha was on building these boulevards and street lights in Owerri Ihedioha demolished many of them, built his own taste. Imo state outside Owerri is like shiit. Shame has been sold in the market place in Imo state. |
Story. Imo state university functions, why can’t tiny IMSUTH function? From 2007 til today, IMSG has reconstructed the roads to Imsu in Owerri, road to IMSUTH have never been practicable. A state consumed by state capital. A state where its people deceive themselves. Other states have teaching hospital but Mpu and aru and deception besieged the teaching hospital in Imo state. |
farem:Govt is no net employer of labour.. You, Build industries to mop up the unemployed. Govt provides education - mass education and enabling environment for entrepreneurs to build industries to employ labor. Anambra state is traditionally blessed with visionary leaders, not like a neighboring state cursed by visionless political leaders. |
slawormiir:He will do it. It’s Anambra state, not Imo state where Owerri seized all government universities and refuse with the present government for expansion to other senatorial districts in Imo state without one government university. Development in Imo state thus centers only in Owerri. |
DebbieBianca:That was when students were the eyes of the country; when Students Unions officials were not bought over by government officials. Many of these students were told in 1984 by then HoS Buhari, that they were the future leaders of Nigeria. Today, they are still “youths “ waiting for the time they will become leaders of Nigeria as promised by Buhari then. |
Water borehole in the billion Naira house - even in Ikoyi of all places. Awuuu! Nigeria is many kilometers away from modernity. Govt official chop money meant to provide treated public water supply system and steady supply of electricity to the people. Money stolen goes into building billion Naira houses run with private water boreholes and private electricity generators. Wake up Nigeria!! |
Gift52:The gate of the billion Naira mansion is operated manually; awuuuu. Still far behind. Lack of constant electricity. |
Joythah:Are those who have presided over Nigeria in the past and now better than Rochas Okorocha? Okorocha made the Imo state capital boom in urban expansion and businesses. His sin is embarking upon too many development projects at the same time mostly in the state capital, but refused same in the capital city of his senatorial district. |
toolovely:If he had built the same substandard structures in his senatorial district but let acid rain destroy them, people of his senatorial district shall not be making your loudmouth complaints by now. |
LegendHero:What strength to test by them in the face of Nigeria’s rigged political structure? The other regions of Nigeria must obey rotation of presidency to make an Igbo win presidential election. |
jaybenugo:Apt response from Rochas Okorocha. Nothing to add or subtract from what he said. |
orjisblog:Owerri excess population due to Owerri seizure of 6 tertiary education institutions in Imo state kills all roads in Owerri. Repair this road today, in one year, excess population in Owerri kills the road again. How many times have they repaired the road in the last twenty years? They’ve concentrated all population in Owerri due to tertiary education institutions located in the area without any consideration for Orlu and Okigwe areas and without consideration for what can bring development in Orlu and Okigwe areas. |
lalasticlala:Overall, SARS and other armed forces brutality on the roads are meant to intimidate civilians, especially in the south, to not rise against the roguish political structure of Nigeria created by northern soldiers where one region - north- was divided into 20 states, but two regions - east and west - were divided into the average of 8.5 states for each region. No country used land mass as criterion to determine how many new political units can be created in a region in a country formed by different regions. The new 36 states and Abuja political structure arrogated excess political power and economic advantages to the north. Change the political structure now. If the north continues to refuse change, divide Nigeria into more manageable countries. |
DenreleDave:But ask southern politicians to ask for what to do to separate Fulani herdsmen from the south, the southern politicians shall be mouth agape, all looking for the day Arewa shall appoint them president of Nigeria. |
CHIOMAEZEH:Chai, this shall remove points from their governor who is hoping that Arewa shall make him next president of Nigeria. Every Igbo politician hopes of one day that Arewa shall appoint him president of Nigeria, thus operates to please Arewa. They no longer talk of how to restructure the political structure created by northern soldiers which makes them subsequent to northern politicians. |
vanbonattel:Nigeria armed forces are trained to protect the roguish political structure under unitary government system and constitution all created by northern soldiers to favor northern region of Nigeria. It’s wrong to use land mass as criterion to create excess 20 new states in one region but create only an average of 8.5 new states in each of eastern and western regions. The creation gives excess political and economic advantages to north. They were killing the Jews, I looked away because I am not a Jew. They were killing the Gentiles, I looked away because I am not a Gentile. They were killing the Christians, I looked away because I am not a Christian. They were killing Moslems, I looked away because I am not a Moslem. When the killers came for me, there was nobody left to stop them. Nigeria armed forces are intimidating every Nigerian group - one after the other - to succumb to the political structure and governance system. |
dre11:Civilians are truly starting to steer the ship of state in this country. Buratai is seeing himself as caged in. |
Great Britain that created Nigeria doesn’t have Police road blocks. The few police officers that patrol the streets are not usually armed with guns. The police in Great Britain work on information and suspicion. Let Nigeria’s political leaders restructure Nigeria to become governable like Great Britain, or dissolve the country for more manageable countries to emerge from Nigeria. Police and other armed forces on road blocks is sign of a failed country. |
MejiLoyon:Benin city’s Anti-crime dept police boss Iyamu was typical of Nigeria police. Iyamu was in alliance with the dreaded armed robbery gang in Benin city led by Osunbor and Anini. Let the political leaders restructure Nigeria to make the country prosperous and decrease the intensity of violent crimes of the youths. Policing every one kilometer shall not be necessary. |
Start new conversations about Nigeria with youths equally drawn from the three regions that formed Nigeria at independence. The 36 states and Abuja political structure is a creation of military dictators from northern region to appease the north after the civil war. North has drawn enough political and economic goodies from the false political structure. Let’s start from the three regions we were on independence. |
ecclize:The lopsided political structure that favors only north makes northern politicians to largely decide who will be president of Nigeria. The best of possible presidential materials, including Charles Soludo, in Nigeria do not dream of contesting for presidential election in Nigeria. Could a Barack Obama have contested US presidential election if the US is politically structured and governed like Nigeria? |
Structured dialogue from youths from the 36 states and Abuja - Soludo solution. The dialogue is most likely to produce a template for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal justice system and makes the youths from the south remain politically subservient to their colleagues from the north . Grow up. Stop the ass-licking; Nigeria was not formed by 36 states and Abuja. Nigeria was formed by 3 regions. For your so-called “structured dialogue” to produce meaningful results, equal number of reps from the 3 foundation regions of Nigeria have to be engaged. If they do not agree on any political structure and governance system for Nigeria, let the country be dissolved peacefully. |
cupid4ig:Soludo typical. He ignores the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria created by northern military dictators under unitary government system which makes southerners quasi second class citizens in Nigeria, but rigmaroles. Like one northern Nigerian wrote recently; every Igbo or Yoruba expects to be made by north to become the next president of Nigeria, therefore Igbo and Yoruba politicians operate to please northern Nigeria. Do Igbo and Yoruba political class talk the truth about the problems of Nigeria? This Charles Chukwuma Soludo is typical of the Igbos described by the northern author. |
Nothing Abdullahi no fit see for oga’s gate. Even this. Madam, what lessons can you teach your children? Deny sex to their husbands? For what gain? This is why Abdullahi get better sense when it comes to marriage. Abdullahi has as many wives as he wants, while oga is on quarrels with his only wife over sex a lot of times. |
WhatCanIsay:Nigeria armed forces are used as internal forces to protect and sustain the skewed political structure under unitary government system established by northern soldiers. |
daddytime:He was a foolish friend. |
But for Nigeria army to continue to insult soldiering all over the world is a call for concern. How could soldiers be involved in purely police work like this? Caliphate soldiers trained only to protect the political structure and governance system of Nigeria established by Caliphate military dictators. |
Generalkaycee:Lol. The colonial master’s business interest is the only stumbling block in your desire. |
Shortyy:Even a SAN has contributed to turn Nigeria into a joke. How did Fashola accept President Buhari’s offer to be in charge of supervising three huge and most important development departments - works, power and housing - in wide wide Nigeria? Fashola should have asked for what he could carry; he should have known that Buhari in apex political office is a man driven solely by ethnoreligious considerations. Fashola failed in all the three departments. |
pozehnani:But unarguably, person like you can hardly survive a day without fcuuuuking, abi I lie? |
