I agree with you. I’d be interested to see what data you find.

As per underreporting in Africa, I don’t think there are any incentives to do so. My guess would be that we’re not testing enough. It’s possible the weather is helping a bit to limit the spread. I think one advantage Africa has is the young demography. It’s interesting that Lagos with population that’s 3x the size of New York still has an extremely low Mortality and Morbidity from Covid. This could really mean that something is in Nigeria’s favor but I don’t know for sure what it is.

I read somewhere this week, that Nigerians are enjoying a low mortality rate for Covid-19 due to the kind of vaccines we have had in the past (especially when we were Young) against diseases like measles, small pox and tuberculosis. And those vaccines have help build our immune systems for a while, and that most people dying from the disease here in Nigeria definitely have an underlying health problems before.

Good day

I'm new in here

I need someone to suggest Good schools without professional exams for masters degree

Thanks

You mean like ICAN and ACCA right grin
Lol

Or standardized tests (GRE, GMAT and TOEFL)??

Good evening
I am sorry if I may sound harsh, but I think you need to retake your GRE and aim for a top score, also if you really WANT to study, you can try to do MSc here in NG and get a strong grade which will help boost your profile up. Like others have said your gpa is too low and if you keep trying like this, rejection will be the end of it. Please don't be sad, try to map out a plan on getting your GRE and TOEFL scores high and do Wes evaluation or if you can do a masters degree and apply for PhD.
Don't think you can't make it, people with similar 2:75-2:95/4:0 have gained admission with good funding but their profile was well grounded with good GRE and TOEFL scores and quality SOPs.

Keep the faith alive.

Digbick:
I applied to Utep and CSU mathematics, but I was sent a message last week from CSU graduate coordinator, that I am on the unqualified queue, that I should expect a rejection from the mathematics department where I applied to, I am thinking of evaluating my result if it can boost my cgpa, considering my cgpa is 2.5/7.0, Gre score is 283, Utep application is still on review.
Please guys what do you suggest I do?

Hi, let me teach you a trick, do you have a GTB account, if yes, dial the 737 code and request for your bank balance, once they send it, you will see your BVN, followed by your NIN, don't press anything, just write out immediately because the message will fly off and you can't see it again unless you request for the balance again. This will only work if GTB have your NIN with them during your account registration .
That's what I did when I was in need of the NIN too.

Beolly:

Thanks have tried *946# several times the message I'm getting afterwards is 'Dear Customer, the service Powernow status is not normal' I got another code online which charges 20 naira *346# have tried it twice and my money was deducted without giving me the number. please what do I do?

So I am planning to apply for fall 2021 ,pls I am a newbie here and I am wondering what to submit as waec transcript.

Is it the printout or the one I got from my secondary school

Looking forward to ur responses

For Wes or your target school is requesting for it?
Either way, find a WAEC office near you and ask for your WAEC certificate to be sent to any of the answers to the questions I asked in the first line... (I don't think you can use your personal copy, except if it's not compulsory to use an official one)..

Hello everyone
At the stage to upload documents, can I use my Voters card for the national identify certificate, this is because I do not have NIMC slip anymore and due to the lockdown I can't get it reprinted. Can I go ahead to use my Voters card instead?
Urgently please!!

that's what i don't understand about WES, is it that they gv gpa by random or what? . Some got gpa of 3.75/5.00 and final wes was 3.08, another got even got lower gpa of 3.70/5.00 and wes evaluated to be 3.29/4.00. Wes na scam las las cry

It depends on the grades on each of your courses, for example if you had 0point in a course, wes will automatically remove it during official evaluation and moreover, the last 2 years of your transcript is mostly evaluated (I stand to be corrected) so it's sometimes differ to what you are expecting, but in the long run, Wes is very good for folks with very low cgpa, there's a kind of boost it adds(other people that have done it can testify).

Okay Elder(s), for a start:
1. New Mexico State University
2. University of Idaho
3. University of Utah
4. Wesleyan University
5. University of Teledo
6. Bowling Green State University

Thanks Elder(s)

Not a single one of these schools is a red flag, all of them here are green flags (lol). If you are targeting any of these, you are good to go!

To best answer your question I think you should state such schools here, so people can help verify, but if you want to do the research on your own, google extensively about such schools and verify their rankings from different sources before you can conclude. Although, we have schools that the VOs in Nigeria can't give you visa for (i.e Lincoln University or so). I hope you understand my point.

vc1177:

Please Elders, if a school falls within the ranks 150 - 200, is this a red flag in any form?

I meant any higher institution with "University" as part of their name.

Most these tech colleges have limited postgraduate courses compared to Universities

I'll advise you check the rankings of colleges and universities in your area of interest to narrow down your choice based on the requirement that matches your profile. You welcome.

hi guys, I gained admission to Bowie University Maryland for fall 2020 and on my admission letter it was written for me to pay acceptance fee of $80 to secure my admission. my question is, should I pay now or should I hold on and pay when I get to the us and just go ahead with my visa application, that's after all this Corona stuff. Thanks

With the little I know, if you do not pay now you can't secure your I20 and there's no way you can apply for Visa processing with the I20 available.

I have a 2015 masters from UniPort and currently have 9 years of experience in same field of study (IT related)

My question is i am looking at PhD options in the USA .
Are info tech colleges like MIT, Virginia Tech, Colorado School of Mines more rated than "traditional" universities?

The USA system of categorizing or naming of higher institutions eg colleges and universities baffles me and is making my research inquiry difficult

Any opinion guys?

What do you mean by 'traditional' universities?
The schools you mentioned are top rated schools in the US
