Please I need clarification on some issues from the seniors here..
(1). I have a WAEC cert from 2012 and I want to apply for SSC, age is not a barrier for me, hope it is okay to upload it?
(2). My Bsc cert is not ready according to my school, since I finished 2 yrs ago (2018 Feb) so I only have my statement of result(duly signed and stamped by the registrar) can I still apply with it? *Although I am currently processing the Bsc cert but due to Covid-19 it's been difficult to progress.
(3). Please what does fslc mean, because I have a primary school testimonial that reads the date I started and finished? Is it different from fslc?

Please I appreciate your responses to my questions. Thanks.

Hello guys good evening, please o I need clarification on the requirements for DSSC military police corps, they wrote "applicants must possess LLB, BL *and* a minimum of Bsc in criminology, psychology, sociology" like that, please my issue here is, is it supposed to be *and* or *or* because it's confusing... Who go get LLB, BL and still get Bsc I have a degree in one of the social sciences courses that is why I am asking. Thanks.

From what is going on at the moment, it's advisable to forego the idea of traveling in August, at least till September because according to the Aviation Minister, they're working on getting an earlier date before October.

Mauritius and Seychelles. But it isn't about Africa, I doubt if it is about countries with high influx too. I would say they have rules they are following and the way they are interpreting the rules is best known to them. International flights must be playing a major factor though

If only the FG could be smart enough to restrict access to int'l flights to and fro from just two airports (Abuja and Lagos) so they can control the virus...

You have made a valid point

Good morning everyone

Is there any African country that the US embassy their have started visa operations?

Im thinking it's a general thing across Africa or at least majority of the countries with high influx of visa applications...

I think if Nigeria’s government can show signs of handling the COVID-19 situation well at least, Nigerians can be allowed to travel into countries like those in EU and embassies in Nigeria can consider opening gradually. And for US, I don’t think all US embassies worldwide will open at same time. If some countries don’t feel safe enough or have decline in cases, embassies there might not open on time.
The workers at embassies are humans and have family who care about them, if they have concerns about their safety amidst this pandemic, they might not be willing to start visa interviews.

International flights have been happening gradually to and from places where COVID-19 cases are well managed.

Again, if Covid-19 started from here(Africa) they'll probably ban us for many years until there's a vaccine. Ebola virus of 2014 is an example, many European countries banned int'l flights from west African countries, including those that weren't affected as much.

It's more of a discrimination thingy to me

Your point is accurate to an extent but it's entirely not in the hands of NG govt, even before we had 25k+ cases many countries in Europe banned int'l flights from here into their own territory that's even worse than ours.

It's more about the countries issuing the visas, they need to get their houses together before allowing foreigners come in. Our mortality rate is still low compared to other countries.

Like you said in the first sentence, Trump wants to win by November and every move he makes is as important as ever.
For us intl students, the best is to speak with your school on what the next level of action is from their end.
If you can, please defer to spring (at least after election is over) whether he wins or not, something will be different by then.

For folks in the US already, it's a game like you said, play it well.

Imagine schooling in Harvard and your location is Ijora with terrible 4G network in Naija. God forbid.

sheke01:

Everyone that has sense by now would have known that anything this administration does now is a reelection strategy.

You want to force schools to reopen at the expense of elderly professors that are likely to die at Covid-19. Go and see the mutiny Georgia Tech professors are brewing against in-person classes

How will school react? Most schools like my school will smartly switch to hybrid and shey ICE will be in their office and know what percentage of student are really doing the in-person part of the hybrid.

USA right now is a game, the best players will come out top

It is getting out of hand...I don't think USA want us anymore!

What if it's a decoy for schools to open during fall semester in-person instead of online. I think Trump wants to reopen at all cost and that's what majority of his fans want. If schools don't reopen in-person int'l students will transfer or leave the country and schools will lose funds invariably.

So see this policy/threat in an objective way.

Potential Nurse

Hi,
- Are you applying for F1 Visa or another type of visa?
- what were the types of visa you applied for the previous times?

I think the answers to these questions might give us a clue about your chances vis-a-vis your dad's current situation over there.
Thanks

Please a friend needs advice, he applied for msc at Florida state university, over three weeks now and he want to know when they normally decide on their admission. Please when do they decide on their admission. Thanks

Simple!!

Mail the department he/she applied to and ask about the status of the application. The grad cord will be in the best position to answer this question.

Hello,

Please this is another DS 160 Form question.

In the space where they asked who is sponsoring the trip, do they mean the person sponsoring my studies or just the trip abroad?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Judging by past experiences here, I think it is just the trip abroad.

I stand corrected please

Hmm...that is hasty generalisation though
There are lots of schools offering those courses, with funding opportunities at the discretion of the school.
What you intend to say, is that many folks here are mostly STEM related candidates so it's difficult to see Humanities folks here (but there are).
Maybe if you check the previous threads, you will see a few Arts and Humanities getting visas and posting their transcripts.

Hello everyone! God bless you guys for your contributions and advice.

I have notice something though, *I have never never seen* someone in Art(English, Drama, Linguistics, etc) getting a visa, it is always science and engineering.

Please, is it that they dont or rarely grant study visa to people in these fields.

morning house. pls, I need the list of schools that doesn't require WES. Am a PHD aspirant with limited fund for admission processing. I don't have money for transcripts evaluation.

I suggest you streamline the schools of your choice, then mail the Grad Cord about transcript evaluation, they'll reply you on whether they require it or not for your course.
