Afam4eva: Hating criminals does not mean you should be illogical with your thoughts. Are children now allowed to own bank accounts? How are they culpable?
i am marveled by ur words re children allowed to own bank account, in dis zoo nation wer every tin is possible.
Afam4eva: I'm not here to blow grammar but this Evans episode got me thinking about the kind of country that we live in.
Evans is a kidnapper and has killed people in process. Even if he never killed anyone, he's a criminal and should be met with the full weight of the law. I propose death by firing squad but life imprisonment with hard labour would do. I hate criminals with a passion.
Now i heard some scally wags on twitter are calling for his release. I won't blame them, i blame the police for creating a hero out of a common criminal. How's he different from other kidnappers that have been nabbed in time past? Is it because he looks fresh or is a billionaire? If we have people calling for the release of this man, it means our problem in this country is multi facteted. The youths are the new problem. They're not the leaders of tomorrow but the thieves and criminals of today and tomorrow.
Now, to Evans's wife. So far, i don't think she's complicit if there's no proof that she indeed used her account to collect money for him like is being speculated in some quarters. Personally i don't trust some wives of criminals. They are very good actors. If she's found guilty, she should face the law...
But for the children, pls and pls, they're innocent and should be protected and rehabilitated by the appropriate authorities.
Ok Bye
even his kids should not be speared dey should investigate check if account has been opened in der names nd money hidden der. bros u dont hate criminals as much as I do. dat his biach called wife should be arrested sef. after kidnapping people nd collecting millions of dollars nd naira both ones that are known nd unknown, nd ur here asking for mercy.
dis zoo police can lie, wch kind gun battle, was der any sign of bullet holes on the gate of evans mansion or his building? nd without the evans sustaining injury as a result of the gun battle. continue lying o. we are watching. but in the oda hand evans should be ready to face wat awaits him nd 4 dose asking for mercy, u need to have ur brains re-examined. death 2 all kidnappers.

SmellingAnus: 1. Nigeria or Uthman Danfodio Republic : This will consist of people from the North-West and North East
2.Oduduwa Republic : This will consist of people from the South-West
3. Middle belt Republic : This will consist of people from North Central... Their reason for wanting to have their own Country will be because they can't afford to be slaves or second class citizens to the people of Nigeria
4. Biafra : This will consist of people from the South- East alone although they will want to go with their South-South brothers but the South-South will be too clever to avoid the same fate that happened to the Igbos with regards to their being marginalized after the civil war...
5. Niger Delta Republic or Adaka Boro Republic : This will consist of people from the South- South ... Although many of these people here are sympathetic to the Biafran Struggle, they will prefer to stay alone at least to avoid unnecessary war with their South- Eastern Counterparts especially when the battle for Supremacy arises in Politics and Governance....

toofit007: my brother your speaking as if your not in this Nigeria, all politicians are the same even if you vote them in under IPOB assuming it is a political party, when they get to power they will swap to apc, I really know what am saying and am grounded in politics. the best thing is not to participate in any election in Nigeria be it governors or president that we show that will are serious. if what happened yesterday is to happen in 2019 election, then I can assure you that Nigeria will collapse, because it will become an inconclusive election and no president will be sworn in, and if the ask for re-vote and the earlier still remain the response of the old eastern region then it will mean that Nigeria has become a failed state. no president can be sworn in when one third of the country has less than one percent vote. please don't compare Nigeria with Catalonia because mentality is different. in Catalonia protest was stage and no one was killed but In Nigeria, such happens and thousands of innocent souls perished. it remains NO to election in BiafraLand.
don't worry we wld surprise dis unholy union called nigeria, i believe it is time d people wld learn dat truly nigeria is a failed state, my problem is still people wld keep hoping it would get better. even fela saw it nd was shouting it, but still nothing was done about it. as for 2019 election, won't bother myself coming out to vote sef.
look who is calling someone a coward, what happened to your man mko abiola, dat made noise and at the end ran into prison nd did nothing again until he was squashed like a bug.
BIAFRA_MASSACRE OF 1967--1970: “I want to see no Red Cross, no Caritas, no World Council of Churches, no Pope, no missionary, no UN delegation. I want to prevent even one Ibo from having even one piece to eat before their capitulation. We shoot at everything that moves and when our troops march into the centre of Ibo territory, we shoot at everything, even things that do not move” (Benjamin Adekunle, Commander, 3rd Marine Commander Division, Nigerian Army to French Radio Reporter). “All is fair in war, and starvation is one of the weapons of war. I don’t see why we should feed our enemies fat in order for them to fight harder”, (Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Nigerian Minister of Finance, July 28, 1969) “Until now efforts to relieve the Biafran people have been thwarted by the desire of the central government to pursue total and unconditional victory and by the fear of the Ibo people that surrender means wholesale atrocities and genocide. But genocide is what is taking place right now and starvation is the grim reaper. This is not the time to stand on ceremony, or go through channels or to observe diplomatic niceties. The destruction of an entire people is immoral objective, even in the most moral of wars. It can never be condoned”, (Richard Nixon, during the presidential campaign, September 9, 1968) “Federal troops killed, or stood while mobs killed, more than 5000 Ibos in Warri, Sapele, Agbor” (New York Times, 10th January, 1968). “Its (mass starvation) is a legitimate aspect of war (Anthony Enahoro, Nigerian Commissioner for Information at a press conference in New York, July 1968) “Starvation is a weapon of war, and we have every intention of using it against the rebels” (Mr Alison Ayida, Head of Nigerian delegation, Niamey Peace talks, July 1968.) “The Igbos must be considerably reduced in number”, Lagos Policeman quoted in New York Review 21 December, 1967) “One word now describes the policy of the Nigerian military government towards secessionist Biafra: genocide. It is ugly and extreme but it is the only word which fits Nigeria’s decision to stop international Red Cross and other relief agencies from flying food to Biafra ( Washington Post editorial, July 2, 1969). “In some areas in the East, Igbos were killed by local people with at least the acquiescence of the Federal forces, 1000 Igbo civilians perished in Benin in this way” (Max Edward Reporter, reporter on the ground - New York Review, 21 December 1967). “After federal forces take over Benin, troops killed about 500 Igbo civilians after a house to house search with the aid of willing locals” (Washington Morning Post, 27 September, 1967) “The greatest single massacre occurred in the Igbo town of Asaba where 700 Igbo male were lined up and shot as terrified women/children were forced to watch” (London Observer, 21 January,1968) “Federal troops killed or stood by while mobs killed more than 5000 Ibos in Warri, Sapele, Agbor (New York Times, 10th January, 1968). “There has been genocide on the occasion of the 1966 massacres, the region between the towns of Benin and Asaba where only widows and orphans remain, federal troops having, for unknown reasons, massacred all the men” (Paris Le Monde, 5th April, 1968) “In Calabar, federal forces shot at least 1000 and perhaps 2000 Igbos, most of them civilians” (New York Times, 18th January,1968) “Bestialities and indignities of all kinds were visited on the Biafrans in 1966. In Ikeja Barracks (Western Nigeria) Biafrans were forcibly fed on a mixture of human urine and faeces. In Northern Nigeria numerous housewives and nursing mothers were violated before their husbands and children. Young girls were abducted from their homes, walking places and schools and forced into intercourse with sick, demented and leprous men” (Mr Eric Spiff, German War Correspondent, eyewitness, 1967) “650 refugee camps, contained about 700,000 haggard bundles of human flotsam waiting hopelessly for a meal, outside the camps, was the reminder of an estimated four and half to five million displaced Kwashiokor scourge, a million and half children, suffer(ed) from it during January; that put the forecast death toll at another 300,000 children. More than the pogroms of 1966, more than the war casualties, than the terror bombings, it was the experience of watching helplessly their children waste away and die that gave birth to, a deep and unrelenting loathing. It is a feeling that will one day reap bitter harvest unless” (Frederick Forsyth, British Writer, January 21st 1969) “The Nazis had resurrected just here as Nigerian forces” (Washington Post, editorial, July 2, 1969). “The loss of life from starvation continues at more than 10,000 persons per day over 1,000,000 lives in recent months. Without emergency measures now, the number will climb to 25,000 per day, within a month and 2,000,000 deaths by the end of the year. The new year will only bring greater disaster to people caught in the passion of fratricidal war, we cant allow this to continue or those responsible to go free” (Senator Kennedy appeals to Americans Sunday November 17, 1968) “Myself and the same UNICEF representatives went on to convey something of what lay behind this intransigence: Among the large majority hailing from that tribe who are the most vocal in inciting the complete extermination of the Igbos. I often heard remarks that all Nigeria’s ills will be cured once the Igbos have been exterminated from the human map.” (Dr Conor Cruise O’Bien, 21 December, 1967, New York.
All liars shall perish in the lake of fire amen. dis is why i keep praying to God to give us Biafra, so we wont be under dis hopeless lying God forsaken country called nigeria
using dis day to remember all those dat wer massacred in the counter coup, pogrom, and d aggressive air raids on the poor people. we lost fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends, loved ones. ur death would never be in vain, as we would keep pushing to actualize our dreams. long live ndi igbo, long live the sovereign state of Biafra. Biafra we hail thee.
Mcowubaba: IPOBs have embrassed Igbos, yes I'm amongst the people who say you can't really differentiate IPOBs from Igbos, because when IPOBs carry out an activity, it is viewed as an Igbo activity.
Even E warriors on Nairaland, degrades and scorns the Igbo tribe because of the activities of IPOBs.
The mostly don't mention "Igbo" when the are cursing, probably because of the Ban associated with insulting a tribe here on Nairaland. (Rule 2)
I write this with a very heavy heart, I'm tired of the insults, scorn and degradation that has been heaped on the Igbo tribe, which was instigated mostly by some activities of the IPOBs here on Nairaland and other social media.
These behaviors from IPOBs are the reasons why Igbos are mocked
1)NOT everybody who opposes an Idealogy/opinion from Baifra/IPOB/Nnamdi Kanu, automatically becomes a Yoruba person, or Northerner, this is actually a very insane way of reasoning, it deeply troubles me, I have been accused of being an AFONJA (as e-warriors call it), Yoruba Muslim etc, just because my opinion differs sometime on some actions/activities of IPOBs.
Whether you like it or not, there still thousands, if not millions of Igbos who don't TOTALLY subscribe to the Ideology of IPOBs (please note, TOTALLY, which means the probably agree to few ideas/suggestions raised by IPOB) . I fall in this category, I'm not opposed to IPOB or Biafra, I just don't totally agree with All their ideas nd procedures.
Most IPOBs I have meet online and physically are very abusive, angry and frustrated, the can't argue without insulting your family or generation, or tagging you a Yoruba Muslim or unity beggar.
The hardly argue objectively and logical, no wonder the are tagged Touts, Radicalised
2) Please stop including non Igbo States as part of the planned Biafra or succession movement, I know numerous threads and topics have been created regarding this, but all had failed to educate the IPOBs here... This particular behavior has caused Igbos so much insults and mockery, hardly a day goes by without someone from a Minority tribe, will create a thread warning Igbos to stay clear from their land, almost every ethnic group has warned IPOBs to stop attaching them to Biafra... A famous IGBO adage says "Biri Kam Biri" live and let live.
IPOBs have classified those who are interested in the Nigerian project as slaves, slave masters, unity beggars, zombies etc..
This is highly illogical, you can't force some ethnic group(s) to Join your struggle, highest you can do is to have a meeting with them, where you can discuss how the will be better off in Biafra than remaining in Nigeria, this is done through advocacy, lobbying etc. And if the still don't agree with the terms or the succession movement, please LET THEM BE.
Allow them to decide their own faith.. For point of clarity, Biafra states now should be restricted to only the 5 Igbo states.
Let's leave all this Delta communities, Akwa Ibom, Benue or River's communities
I don't need a lesson of history or origin, on how there are indigenous Igbo people in some of the aforementioned states... Or how the were part of Biafra during the Civil War.. Let us leave them ALONE. The insult from them is becoming unbearable. And sincerely, I don't blame them, you can't force down your ideology on some one else....
To be continued
