The PIB bill concerns us all .... The lawyers in the house should digest it and explain to us pros and cons (if any). We should stop sitting on the fence for issues that affect us and our children... We have the power of internet and smart phone at our disposal...let us use it ...cry out of any shortcomings!! |
Hello all. Its high time we stop saying cool /good to project/contracts awarded by government without following up or playing our part in monitoring the progress of the contracts. In Uk for instance locals monitor and visit construction site and say what there reservations are. Attention : Seun Could you create a section where we could upload pictures of progress of projects/contruction in our areas? ,State of roads , housing , hospital etc. With this i believe WE WILL BRING GOVERNMENT CLOSER TO THE PEOPLE. Since they have refused to get closer to us. Lets explore the power of Information technology ...smart phone ,Camcoder etc. |
Hello all. This is how our common wealth is being spent for time immemorial.... Thank God for power of internet that is gradually opening our eyes. Nigerians home and abroad need to do more on exposing the element that called themselve leaders. .. Though the training may be misplaced priority at this time of economic challenges...but at least The money was spent...unlike in the past when the money will be siphoned/embezzled and no one actually when for any training.... |
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm...sigh of releif!! If this was FG position... then my vote for GE was not a waste! So , i still have hope in his government. I must say i have been totally disappointed in GE Government , but its like he is saving the best/joker for the last minute ..(But the earlier the better, before the hawks finished the chicks). Though GE government has perfomed below expectation no doubt, but we must give his administration credit for opening our eyes to many things that has been going on under cover since 1960. (e.g NNPC saga , Pension saga, Corruption in all institution etc.). Let us give GE credit for this singular stand against killer of competition in our country. |
Fellow Nigerians, Let us continue to pray to GOD for our freedom from the heartless politicians, cabals and Government officials who have been siphoning our common wealth. What we are seeing in the open now has been in existence since independence with corruption , embezlement, maniputation of NNPC etc increasing systematically over the years, now its gradually reaching the elastic limit. I hope we all updating our records of corrupt politicians and Government officials since 1960 against the day of reconing? . GEJ should continue to act his script (am enjoying the drama) so that we will not miss out a member of the cabal gripping our nation jugular vein. ......I love GEJ government (It opens up our eyes , so let us pray for him to suceed).....This is for the wise ones |
Just be calm, don't be hard on your son, This is where developed countries are better (e.g UK) . Child of that age does nothing serious in school but play with several toys , objects , paint object, watch cartoons , eat balance diet and counting number gradually using colors and object. The child develop naturally at his pace , if they notice the child had learning disability , he will be sent to special school all at no cost to the parent. But the reverse is the case in Nigeria, !! When i left Nigeria for UK , my son was 3yrs old and he could counting 1-20 , write 1-10 , A-F and very smart too. But in UK at that age to me they do nothing but what i mentioned above. They don't teach him alphabet , numbering was 1-20 , and they started with a colored laminated number -1 and they gave him a small bag where he kept the numbers as he progresses. Your child daily activities are recorded inside a book with your child pictures for records and Audit purposes. Initially i was not happy with the pace my son was leaning because some of things he could do in Nigeria , he was finding it difficult to do same in UK . I was more disturbed when his friend Julie(His teacher/aunt--he called her by first name) told me my son is good in painting, but relieved when she said my son is active, smart and wins in games ( note every good thing done by the child is rewarded with a cartoon sticker, sometime sticked to the child cloth). My son is now 4yrs , very smart and could count 1-20 without assistant and 1-100 with my assistant , write 1-10 , but could neither write nor recite alphabet ,this because hasn't been taught in school yet. So give your son time to develop , encourage him, reward him with something or object he likes, am sure before you know it he will catch up quickly. |
Each time project is awarded WE all knew where it will ended because of bad antecedents, its either political talk , or the fund will end up in somebody pocket, or the project will be abandoned and fund embezzled, or substandard materials will be used, or money will be paid/collected for project not done, etc. So WE (Nigerians) no longer trust the government, this implies without fight corruption, WE can not move forward, unfortunate GEJ could not and does not have the gut to bite the corrupt fingers in PDP that that fed him. Honestly, i regretted voting for GEJ , i thought now that he is the president he would have the gut/power to deal with the corruption in the country starting from the TOP to LGA. Though, there is one thing i feel in GEJ government, some things that were done in the dark/behind closed door is now done in the open e.g probing of NNPC , budget defence by NNPC and lastly the most insulted Nigeria president . For me GEJ could still redeem its barted image by fighting corruption from the TOP DOWN,dealing with ex- ministers, ex and NNPC bosses, Customs boss , and other parastatals that in a way or the other embezzled our common wealth . GEJ, NEED A BIG SCAPE GOAT TO LUNCH WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION , So let us keep praying for GEJ government for GOD divine guidance. |
On point, For years the northern elite have deliberately blind folded their people , educationally and otherwise . They have been breeding millions of boko harams for years by denying them basic education, food and shelter, some of them grew up on the street , walking about fending for themselves as almajir. It is in the north that you will see someone playing cards as early as 7am, selling fuel in plastic bottle to feed his family, and it is the same north you will best cars, mansion and gigantic building housing thousands of people, feeding them instead of the government to provide jobs for the youth. All these instance though not peculiar to the north , but it more visible in the north. I remembered my first time in the north, i saw a motor bike with one passenger loaded with three (3) 25litre Jerry can/rubber, then i asked my friend that why will someone parked groundnut oil like this.?, my friend replied which groundnut oil, na petrol dem carry o. I screamed and could not believe it , on moving a distance i saw ten (10) 25litres of petrol neatly on displayed to be sold , just like a market woman selling tomato and onions . So the youth in the north should hold their leaders responsible for leading them astray, and not encouragingem to embrace education. |
Enough is Enough, they ve milk our resources for years , polluted our water. This is our resources , so we set the rules , if they don't like it they should go and let country like China comes in, Its high time all the so call western power starts to respect us. They ve taking us for ride for too long. |
Seun you do well. How i wish other millions of GTBank customers could stand up for their right too. This strategy of acquiring customers by force was used over 6 years ago by Intercontinental Bank and this made the bank a force in Nigeria e-banking products. Now that Access has acquire Intercontinental Bank . Other banks now scramble for their customers especially the e-banking customers. |
Its part of daily life here in diaspora where you cant afford to hire a nanny. Beside you and your wife will raise the family together, otherwise half of your income will go for paying minders(Baby sitters). Also single parent (Man/Woman) does it daily. But its unusual in Nigeria. What is normal in one environment its abnormal in another. |
Correcting the Misconception, Misrepresentation and Misinterpretation of the Quran http://links.causes.com/s/clALC8 Correcting the Misconception, Misrepresentation and Misinterpretation of the Quran I decided to come up with this piece from the learned Islamic scholars who had previously explained the said challenge due to the challenge I was confronted with in some forums where Christians claimed the Quran supported aggression against non Muslims; this is a misinterpretation of the words of God and misrepresentation. This piece is for those people who wish to be enlightened and I pray that the almighty give you the understanding. The letter from the prophet which reads below is the truth(A message from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) over 1400Yrs ago. In 628 AD, a delegation from St. Catherine’s Monastery came to Prophet Muhammed(SAW) and requested his protection. He responded by granting them a charter of rights. "This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullahi, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world), not just the truth for the people living during the time of the prophet, but will continue to be true until the day of Judgement. In further supporting the above letter from prophet Mohammed (SAW) the Quran also has this to say, Not all these people are alike. From amongst the people of the book are those who stand in the night time, reciting the verses of God while prostrating. They truly believe in God and the Day of Judgment, they encourage goodness, admonish evil and take lead in doing acts of virtue; such are the righteous people. Whatever good they will do is not going to go waste. And God is aware of the pious people. (3:113-5) Indeed those who believe [– Muslims –] and those who are Jews, and the Nazarenes [the rightly guided Christians], and the Sabeans, whoever [amongst them] believes in Allah, the Day of Judgment, and does good deeds, for him there is going to be reward before his Lord: They will neither have any fear of the future nor sorrow of the past. (2:62). Here comes the verse of the holy Quran quoted as a command for muslim to attack the Christians,This is what the Quran says in, At-Taubah sura 9:29 " Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." Source from the Noble Quran. The Above verse is indeed from the holy quran, For every quranic verse, there is what we call asbabu nuzul,(reason for revelation.) In light of the historical context of this verse, it becomes very clear that the verse was revealed in connection with aggression initiated against Muslims. As Dr. Jamal Badawi very accurately concludes with regard to verse 9:29 and similar verses:All of these verses, without exception, if studied carefully, address aggression and oppression committed against Muslims at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). |
I know everyday is for the thief one day is for the owner of the house. I think we should give credit to GEJ here , though his government is corrupt too. All the fraudulent revelations we are seeing lately has been on since time immemorial , but they were shielded away from the public domain., Now we get to know how these rogue milk our common wealth. I wish the January protest was anchor on corruption. I could remember 3 or 4years ago , before your ministry budget is passed you must drop 'something' at lease Ghana must go bags must change hands , least we forget one minister of education was sacked by obasanjo administration because he was caught in the act. SO NO BE TODAY. Some of these ministries and parastatals inflate their budget to cover cost of Ghana must go bags that has exchanged hands to lobby the Senate/Reps to pass their budget. ITS ALL ABOUT CORRUPTION, ITS FROM THE TOP TO LGA, |
This cant be boko haram, It must be robbery incident, that must be strategy to unsettle the police officers in the robbery arena, |
Good Job (at least we still have credible Nigerians out there!) The looters names should be published in the media. Paraded on national television for a week. ( The world could see 'OJU OLE'). The team should be seconded to other ministry & parastatals ( e.g customs) |
The government said public transport don't use petrol (they use diesel). So, transport fare wont go up. Beside they are talking with transport unions not to increase fare, ION. This government is miles away from the masses, |
Everything boils down to CORRUPTION. Bad eggs started to join the police when recruitment turned to money making company. With N10,000 naira bribe or kick back you will be enrolled to the police irrespective of your qualification(if fact qualification and other requirement is secondary). The police need serious reform ,re-assessment of all officers , and sacking any officer found wanting. |
I love this action!!!! The Battle has just Begun, !! We should replicate this type action in Nigeria from Local Government to State and Federal Level , all corrupt politicians, ministers and individuals that have looted our common wealth from 1960 will not no peace anywhere they go all over the world. Lets occupy them where ever we see them, We have waited for too long, we can no longer wait, |
The woman should be sacked , probed and arrested. The BIG CABAL GEJ instrument for siphoning our common wealth |
EFCC SHUOLD ARREST HIM BEFORE HE TRAVEL ABROAD OOOOOOO . Let us shine our eyes and memory , let us look back at history. The real CABAL are showing face, |
Its high time we all profer solutions/suggestions to end the ongoing impasse. A win/win situation. We all known that this government can not be TRUSTED,(for refusing to fight corruption/cabal, and decide to pass the buck/pain to the masses) at the same time we have to give them benefit of the doubt. Coming from different analysis that there was no subsidy in the first place and array of evidences that the government is corrupt and that the real Cabal in the government is NNPC. In my opinion , before NLC/TUC reach ANY agreement with GEJ and his TEAM , Labour MUST get answer to the following questions (if possible under oat). These questions are fundamental to arriving to the true amount paid on subsidy. (I don't believe government paid up to 75 naira as subsidy). The Government that was paying billions of naira as subsidy based on papers/documentation without ensuring the product/PMS gets to its depot. The government that abandoned its storage facilities and decides to rent third party storage facility. The questions that must be answered by the Government are: 1. GEJ and his Team MUST tell Nigerians what it cost to produce/import 1 litre of petro (PMS). 2. Labour should ascertained the the TRUE amount of subsidy paid by the government on a litre of petro. 3. Labour should ascertained the TRUE daily consumption of petro . 4. Labour should ascertained the number of litres petrol (PMS) produced daily by our Local refineries. |
I strongly agree with "seal777" , removing subsidy wont be a problem , i believe Nigerian can cope and will adjust, remember obasanjo increased fuel price from N20 to N80 thereafter prices of things went up but we survived. Removing fuel subsidy without 24hr power supply ,functioning local refinery and construction of new refineries will amount to nothing. Otherwise the corrupt politicians will continue feed fat on us. Madam ngozi mean well for Nigeria but she should not forget that she is surrounded by wolf (politician, business men, the rich etc) that are waiting to devour our treasure at the slightest policy somersault. Remember these guys has refineries outside the country and engaged in diversion and bunkering of petroleum product. |
@ignis |Islam is a funny religion. I can't even allow my dog to be a muslim : Say not about the religion you know nothing about so that the wrath of GOD will not descend upon you, its an advise for you and your likes in NL |
