Pipe dream. Russia economy is going to bleeped for the foreseeable future. Many professionals have said even if the war ended today. The economy is completely doomed and it's not like sanctions will end right away either. The government has done everything it can to create false demand for the ruble, which is not only unsustainable but prior historical examples in Argentina for instance show that the currency could plummet uncontrollably because of these policies. It's only a matter of time before it does, and this false reality Russia has tried to create fades.
Honestly, no matter what, by the end of 2022. Russia's economy will be completely destroyed and anyone who is linked to it will experience just as bad.

Its also not pegged until there is a selling level., otherwise its just buying gold.

Ruble can never challenge the petro dollar. The ruble is challenging the petro dollar as much as an ant in my cellar is a threat of starvation for me. Russian exports amount to just 500 billions, oil being part of it, and that won't change the course of the world.

The black market value for Ruble is significantly lower than whatever number you are seeing on google. It's something like 200 ruble = 1USD where you can actually trade the currency.

Stop being gullible. People that say the ruble is strong so Russia might be doing good I ask: did you buy? Would you Buy rubles? The answer can only be NO, because all citizens of western countries are banned from buying rubles. Likewise, Russian cannot exchange rubles for foreign currency.

The nominal exchange rate is bullshit, it is literally only determined by the oil&gas commerce. There is literally no other export, import or Forex activity determining the value of the Ruble since sanctions have kicked in. It is quite literally a piece of propaganda so that pro Russia outlets can spread bullshit about sanctions not working.

Artificially inflating your own currency won’t change the fact that their GDP is on a downtrend since a decade. Their systematic corruption that keeps Putin in power is eating them from the inside.

Russia reported a budget deficit in April, VAT collection is down TWO THIRDS, 63% of their budget income was from oil and gas exports vs 28% in 2020 while military expenses have more than doubled.
