if i remeber correctly, she was said to have finally activated the technique...i may be wrong. My beef aint that she cud do it, she's tsunade's student after all, she's supposed to achieve that...however the point in tym that it was achieved is oh so convenient. That has been my point all along.

When the two boys - one knucklehead and one emo - were taken under the wings of two of the three Sannin, kimco could not have seen that there was enough promise in the third - a girl too - to be taken.under the wings of the third Sannin.

This is a war o. People are dying and getting wounded but Sakura-san who studied under the strongest kunoichi and best medic-nin of their times could not have gottwn good enough to pull off her mentor's prized jutsu. Never mind that the story had been screaming that she would until then.

It doesn't take much to spoil an effort, my friend.

Sakura has been learning just as much as her teammates. From the beginning, Kishi had deliberately been running parallels between Team 7 andthe Three Sannin. If you didn't see it, I wonder why. There was nothing strange about Sakura gaining that mark on her forehead. And now during this fight, you actually expect that she would be doing somthing more than heal and protect shinobi with Katsuya. Pray tell, why should she have displayed any Senjutsu when she was healing wounded soldiers and protecting them with Katsuya?

What! So what u're telling me training itself isn't enuff any more? That what sakura cudn't achieve in training she achieved on the battlefield under immense stress and depleted chakra? Are u kidding me.

Did u not see naruto achieve sage mode b4 he entered the battlefield. Didn't u see sasuke find, albeit a very awkward, way to actually use the technique. So u think saukura who somehow cudn't achieve the delicate ability in training shud be able to do so on the battle field whereeverything is hectic.....ihedinobi is that what u're telling me? like i told u, it's not bad to give sakura the sage mode, actually i was expecting it way back, but it didn't happen when it shud have, but now that it feels convenient to do so, she recieves tsunade's power which probably took much training on tsunade's part to achieve. It jux get handed over to her like dat? And shud, according to u, achieve sage mode as well cos she gt trained by a saanin?

and to answer ur last bit sire, ur point would've been a very gud point if she actually didn't participate in the battle atall. She did as i recall. she went into tsunade mode and was beating the crap out of people. U'd think that if she had sage mode, she'd use it then, but no, she didn't, even nearly got killed, but was saved, AGAIN, by both guys. U think it's right that she receives it now? u sire, are easily pleased, i yearn for that ability too, but, alas, it's not meant to be.
And for the last tym, i don't write stories, don't think i ever will, i jux read gud ones to know what a gud story can be. So please stop asking me to write stories. I dnt need to be a writer to critique a story.

The above is rather annoying. I personally think that "asspull" and "plothole" aren't credible arguments, I think they're soundbites at best for what they're worth. And I have seen those words enough times recently on this thread to be sick of them. It seems to have grown fashionable to wait for Kishi to drop a new chapter and then "asspull" all over it.

I used to see pretty credible arguments. People came here with theories and criticisms of theories. We tried to make sense of Kishi's art, we weren't knocking him and poo-poo'ing every effort he made. Because we loved the story.

I could care less if you want to write your own story. But I'll mock all the "asspull'ing" and "plothole'ing" you guys take pleasure in sooner than I'll argue against it. Why should I argue against subjective desires, what you think Kishi should or should not put into his story? Argument is only possible when there is something objective to measure against. In the past, the fixed point of reference was Kishi's manga, now it is whatever Kimco et al say is asspull or plothole. How does one argue productively with that?


Lol. I don't know how into the literary arts you are, my friend. But if you think you can critique "story-telling" as it unfolds, I would sooner eat my works and any other I value than let you critique them. No doubt a certain quality is established as a work unfolds and becomes a benchmark for expectation. But the beauty of art is that it is flexible. In an instant, everything can change and while some people are hollering, others see how it all makes sense and everything connects.

Perhaps I should encourage you as some here already have to go and try to put together a story yourself. Maybe you'll understand then. Or maybe you already are an established, tried and proven genius at storytelling and could give us an illustration of what you've been trying to get across in your criticisms with a sample of your work.

Powers do improve after a while...WITH TRAINING. Look at the person in question....juugo....where is he going to actually go and train and improve his powers, he doesn't seem that focused a person. Everything he has now falls in line with the ''montrous'' nature of his power. it comes naturally.

Why would I be surprised if Sakura also gains a Sage Mode? All three were trained by Sannin and at least two of the three Sannin are confirmed Sages. And Sage Jutsu sems to be ruled by animals. What would be strange about a Sage Mode credited to slugs abeg?

It would be wierd cos she hasn't used it in this war, not once, not when she was in danger and nearly got killed, not then, but then suddenly she can use it...she'll be like

''guys...i feel something in me...it feels sluggish, i wasn't able to feel it b4 but now that i'm losing chakra and 3/4 of the soldiers are dead, i can suddenly feel it. Oh God...it coming, It's coming, IT'SSSSSSS.....SAGE MODE''

Now that i think aba it, her diamond thingy on her forehead was also kishi's sh!tty way of making her relevant and then in the same chapter, degrade her to her medical belongingness. It's like after he gave her the power he said

''okay b**** u got ur 5seconds of fame, now back to the kitchen where u belong'' (kitchen being the metaphor for infirmary in this case)

When someone is telling a story you don't know, you ask how. You also ask why to make sense of it. But what's the point in listening to a story you can tell better ehn?

I don't hear you complaining that Juugo could transform "ordinary" chakra into flesh and bone (not that I've ever seen him do that o, although I guess he might have to heal Sasuke then). Wasn't that an "asspull" too? Between then and now, in all his dealings with the Genius Sasuke, it's impossible that they may have figured out a way to make a combo? Ok o.

My position is simple. I mean to enjoy this story and quarrel only when it doesn't make any sense to me. Right now, it very much does. Stuff that doesn't is stuff I know must be explained later to keep the story sweet. If you don't mean to enjoy it, bros, for ya pocket, mehn!

juugo did that almost when he was actually intoduced and had seen some real action, infact his first real action on screen...dat is perfectly normal to showcase his abilities when it was warranted. U know when it would've been an a55pull? if he didn't heal sasuke then but did it later on sometym later. That's what has jux happened. It has become convenient so juugo can suddenly do something he cud have done way back.

So to u if u find no fault with the manga now and will only wait it out when it has become inconsistent with what u know, why then won't u allow others who believe it is inconsistent NOW to make their point. Not that counter argument isn't a gud thing but that is what we need from u, a counter argument not u telling us to not do this and dat when u urself have stated that u'll most def make an argument when ur tym comes. So what...we're supposed to wait till u think it's proper to argue? This is our tym, provide a counter argument like u always have and stop giving lectures.

In a story when a writer unfolds his story he drops infos as he goes, leaving the creme de la creme for the grand finale. But here kishi isn't doing that anymore....his cramming a lot of info within a given frame creating more questions upon unanswered questions and answering some with answers we we have to make complex assumption jux to extinguish our fire of cognitive dissonance. i can't critisize the whole manga as it stands cos it's yet to end, however i sure can critize the story telling as it unfolds, cos a gud story isn't how it ends but the total package in itself. That much u have to allow me. having said that kishi is a gud writer with a rich cultural sense, much more than i can say for others. If only he can tone down the fan service a little....

My beef from the moment i stepped into this forum was that abilities keep being handed to the major characters for convenience sakes. Remember those old movies of the ''the choosen one'' themes...where the guy hardly masters his abilities even in training but somehow nails it against the bad guy who has been destroying bad a55e5 as his daily work, and even manages to defeat the bad guy alone with some other a55 pull powers? Yes...this is exactly what kishi is turning naruto shippuden into.

he didn't share the raw chakra otherwise that would've been dangerous for sasuke. He transformed his chakra into flesh and bone to replace sasuke's missing chest area. The uzimaki gal did same, does that mean she shared her healing power abilities? i don't think so. It's a convenient ability so that juugo, and to a larger extent, sasuke cud be relevant again.

Sasuke's powerups will end when Kishi is satisfied. Besides the direction of.the story has continued to suggest that Naruto and Sasuke are a rewriting of Hashi's and Madara's story and the story of the Old Sage's two sons. So what's the surprise that Sasuke has another powerup to match Naruto's? Abi no be for here wey Naruto come get Bijuu Sennin Modo? Their powers are being matched. Kishi is building up to something. Simple.

And bros, I never advise assumptions in the face of facts. Assumptions are fine and good when we base them off of observations that are yet to have concrete explanations.

It is manga fact that the Curse Seal is simply Juugo's power that Orochimaru injected into bodies to see how they reacted to it. Sasuke's body from the beginning carried it well.

In actual fact, i later had that same idea u had.. However, the part of juugo transferring is an a55pull. He never did this b4, not once, then suddenly for convenience sake, he can do it. like the dude u quoted said, he run wild when he gathered senju chakra....it still has to run thru him to even be transferred and at that point he'll go wild. Tosyn007: You misunderstood, Minato uses a teleportation technique I.e a space time ninjutsu which takes him from one point to another in blinding speed, but Naruto's a transportation ninjutsu meaning his movement can be tracked, and him rushing towards Obito who uses a superior technique which is teleportation can be disastrous and he had Madara beside him at that time who needed Obito alive..

I'm sorry but u're wrong, the idea is to get to ur target in blinding speed and naruto did that. He moved so fast it looked like he teleported. His speed was compared to the yellow flash's technique. Obito is fast, but not yellow flash fast. Sorry.

Minato's only advantage over naruto's speed would be to change targets at that blinding speed cos he can jux teleport to the next target. But when it comes to a single target in focus...according to kishi thru kakashi, they're matched.

Quite honestly, do u actually believe our african teams have teamwork...isn't team work team chemistry? If it is then i agree whole heartedly. The asian u complain aba actually stay home to play in the leagues and train together for long. The only team with enough team chemistry is zambia and long ago....egypt. Not even my black stars or the super eagles have enuff of teamwork...jux a team of individually gud players. I do agree some of their rating can be piss poor but in a way, their right on the mark.
