Let me tell you how they work. u are very right.........about why SEC boast of high numbers, I would say that is because of their connerbamming,majority of them don't go through the dreaded process.... I once heard a SEC man said he was given 15 slaps and kicked a few times and then given something to eat and just like that he was a SEC....... this reason is the major reason for their high numbers and also high casualties, they fear Vikings as much as aye.

To be honest Sir, I've always thought about this too and I was able to draw some personal conclusions (I might be wrong though) which include below.

1. Beef of Coordination- if you observe the Aiye Confraternity very well, you'll notice they have a lot of celebrity and highly placed members more than any other cult out there and when these guys meet in public, they greet themselves and relate with the sense of brotherhood... The rest cults no even get that levels at all.

2. Geographical Spread- These Aiye guys are just too everywhere outside Nigeria. I just recently found out that they have their functioning movement even in Brazil and Cyprus too.

3. Supremacy- Other cults will be mentioned around you and you might just see them as some bunch of touts or cowards walking in groups. But when you hear say Aiye guys are around a vicinity, first thing that comes to your mind is brutality and wahala. I think most people fear Aiye the most.

In conclusion, I think other cults are always at war with Aiye just because of the beef they have against them due to the three things I mentioned above (I might be wrong though).

But the real question remains.... Why fight over silly things exactly and to what end?.

u have said it all, I have to add that they are also almost everywhere that's why it seems so, u hardly see eiye in east and SVC in west but u see aye in those places,that's why it's like they are always in the middle.

Why do all the other cult groups seem to always go to war with / hate the Ayes

Its always Eiye /Aye, Bucca/Vikings going to war with Aye.. And sometimes, two cult groups will team up to fight them.
It also seems Eiyes hate Ayes the most and vice versa. Any reason for this?

thanks man....I do understand you, but when I said I never failed to get a win I wasn't referring to arguing with people that don't understand the basics of an argument and clearly I didn't mean I cherish my arguments and don't want to learn.
in fact I find it hard to argue with just anybody that's why I'm quick to let things lie.
if you use syllogism in ur argument, it is impossible for the wrong person to win,its just not possible, u can easily point out the faults thereby reducing the problems to the minimum...... I argue with my fellow philosophers mostly, I do learn from them and they learn from me as well. if two people who know the basics of argument and how to tackle the situation are talking, its very mature and the best way to solve matters. I know it might seem odd to u trying to bring yahoo and cultism to the same table, but if I'm being honest that argument is a very simple argument, ask any philosopher or someone who understands syllogism, he will say the same thing 9 times out of 10.

I think majority,like 90% of cultist actually know the dangers of cultism before deciding to join.....they made a conscious decision. one does not simply wake up one day and become a cultist, he/she must av taught it through,weighed the ups and downs and even google to know a few things about them.

Confraternities and brotherhoods exists everywhere in the world. They work for a common goal and many are in universities. But in Nigeria, this has been hijacked to become violent gangs. Lets face it, there is nothing different between cults in Nigeria and gangs like Crips n Bloods in the USA.
I have some friends that I know were ex-confra men. The reason I am in good terms with them is because, they have nothing positive to say about cults. The only one that is still proud of his affiliation is one who is a showguy based in Lagos. So far, he hasn't witnessed or become part of any unnecessary violence.
Pyrates, Bucaneers are trying to launder their image and stay away from violence lately. I can tolerate their members to some extent.
