Politics / Lawyers Ask DSS To Release A’ibom Invasion Report by kinggenesis(m): 5:51pm On Sep 06, 2015 |
ADE ADESOMOJU, ABUJA Some lawyers, under the aegis of the Akwa Ibom Lawyers Forum in Abuja, have asked the leadership of the Department of State Service to quickly investigate the alleged invasion of the Akwa Ibom State Government House in Uyo by its operatives and make its report public. But they also condemned what they described as “the incessant attack by the Peoples Democratic Party on the Department of State Security Service” for performing its lawful duties. Coordinator of the forum, Mr. Leo Ekpeyong, who along with some other members of the forum, who spoke in Abuja on Saturday, said the group’s findings had shown that the DSS did not invade the Akwa Ibom Governor’s official residence, but a guest house of the Akwa Ibom State Government. He however urged the leadership of the DSS to release its report of investigation on the invasion so that Nigerians would know the true state of affair. Ekpeyong said, “We urge the leadership of the DSS under the able leadership of Mallam Lawal Daura, who has brought to bear professionalism and expertise in the discharge of its duties to expedite action in the course of this investigation. We urge the leadership of the DSS to complete its investigation speedily and let Nigerians know the outcome. “The safety of lives and property of Nigerians cannot be negotiated for any reason whatsoever. We urge the leadership of the DSS to make public the outcome of its investigation as soon as it is concluded so that Nigerians will know the true state of affairs because it is clear that only the guilty are afraid.” One of the PDP’s top figures, the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, only on Friday criticised the DSS for the alleged invasion into the Akwa Ibom State Government House. He warned the PDP against unnecessary attack on the security agency. http://www.punchng.com/news/lawyers-ask-dss-to-release-aibom-invasion-report/ |

It is indeed embarrassing to show off your under arms if you know it for yourself that it isn't as lighter as the other people's armpit. A lot of experts claim that dark underarms are normally caused by repetitive use of deodorants which have lots of chemicals in it that makes the skin darker. People are now looking for several steps and ways to remove the dark shades of their underarms. Well, here are eight steps on how you can slowly kill the dark shade of your under arm. 1. Place potato slices and rub it on your under arms for 5-10 minutes every day. 2. Use lemon juice, which is a natural bleacher. Just press the lemon juice on the armpit, then rinse it off. 3. Remove the under arm hair by waxing. 4. Exfoliate with brown sugar and lemon juice. 5. Papaya Scrub which removes dead skin cell. 6. Cucumber Slices, just rub it on the dark skin. 7. Food / 15 Amazing Health Benefits Of Cashew Nuts by kinggenesis(m): 9:57am On Aug 29, 2015 |
Who doesn’t know about cashew nuts? OPA-CASHEW is what we call them in my dialect (Igala). The kidney shaped or bean shaped nuts have many health benefits, a few of which are presented below: 1. Prevents Cancer Proanthocyanidins are a class of flavonols which fight against tumor cells by stopping them to divide further. These proanthocyanidins and high copper content in cashew nuts help fight against cancerous cells and keeps you away from colon cancer. This is one of the major cashew nut benefits. 2. Healthy Heart Cashews contain low fat content when compared to other nuts and that too in the oleic acid form which is very healthy for heart. They are cholesterol free and the antioxidants present keeps you away from heart diseases. 3. Lowers High Blood Pressure Cashew nuts lower your blood pressure with the help of magnesium present in them. 4. Helps Hair Copper is the mineral which helps your hair get that color. So if you take cashews which are full of copper content, you can get that black hair that you always wished forn 5. Healthy Bones Like calcium, magnesium is also important for bone health which is the main content in cashew nuts. 6. Healthy Nerves Magnesium is stored on the bones surface which prevents calcium from entering the nerve cells and thus keeps the blood vessels and muscles relaxed. Insufficient amount of magnesium can lead calcium to enter the blood vessels leading them to contract. It also leads to high blood pressure, migraine headache etc. 7. Prevents Gallstones Daily intake of cashewnut can reduce the risk of developing gallstones up to 25%. 8. Helps in Weight Loss Even though cashew nuts are considered as fats, it contains good cholesterol. So contrary to popular belief, those who eat cashews at least twice a week gain less weight when compared to those who eat less. 9. Anti-oxidants Selenium, copper, magnesium etc. act as co-factors for many enzymes. 10. Helps Digestion Cashew nuts help in growth and development, nucleic acid synthesis and digestion. 11. High on Vitamins Cashew nuts are rich in vitamins like riboflavin, pantothenic acid, thiamin, niacin etc. These vitamins keep you safe from sideroblastic anemia, pellagra, etc. 12. Healthy Gums and Teeth As mentioned before, the magnesium content present in cashew nuts is very good for bones. So it gives healthy teeth as well as strong gums to hold them. 13. Pleasant sleep After menopause, these cashew nuts can give you relaxed and pleasant sleep during nights. 14. Free Radicals Cashew nuts help our body to utilize iron properly and eliminate free radicals which cause health problems. 15. Macular Degeneration Cashew nuts have the ability to filter Sun’s UV rays and protect us from macular degeneration ( 12 ). Now that you know the health benefits of Cashew nuts, ensure that you eat a few once every week I am sure you already love them. http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/benefits-of-cashew-nuts/

According to him: “Things were rough for me before Sekem. I want people to see me and be inspired by my story, saying, “If MC Galaxy can do it, I can do it. I remember when I used to perform at a comedy club; I was usually paid N2,000 and would sleep in the club till the next day because I had little for transport fare. By the grace of God, I have become very busy now.” When asked how he came about the dance, Sekem, he has this to say: “After Kukere, I usually dance Skelewu and I created the Sekem dance from the comedy club. The dance started trending from there. I decided to take it further by using it in my song. I had created dance steps for other people, so I decided to create mine.
