Politics › Re: Yorubas Will Regret If They Vote Jonathan. Yoruba Ronu by kinglekan: 11:10pm On Mar 27, 2015
jarkbauer:
Jonathan has been in power for 5 years.
No Yoruba holds a key position in his government.Yorubas are marginalized.
He gathered the rejects of the society like Fayose, Omisore, Ogunlewe, Bode George, Gbenga Daniels Akalas etc to lead the Yoruba race.
These 'rejects' have no agenda for the Yoruba nation, apart from share the money
Jonathan abandoned the yorubas during this first term.
Now he needs our votes, he doled out dollars to buy our votes.
If we make the mistake of voting for him because of money.. The relevance of Yorubas in Nigerias politics is over. This mean we can bought, we are not different from our Igbo brothers. He will abandon us in his second term and dole our money in 2019 to get our votes.

Seems u enjoy having both guys around. One to meet ur emotional needs, the other to buy u things.

Slow and sinful;
wild and wonderful;
All in a deliberate rhyme;
As i depended on his breath.

Our hearts came as one;
our eyes shut in reckless abandon;
lips entwined in desire;
fingers fit into d other's.

We were blinded by passion;
as we tasted each other.
And as d fires of desire burned;
i longed for more.

It felt like paradise;
almost forbidden.
But as d fiery ice burned through;
the wrongs were made right.
Hope dis isn't to JJ oooooohuh

OP I think the statement should rather be that there is something wrong with you because you don't believe people should have different opinions about a person or something but will rather move in your direction like zombies.

Nairaland General › A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad, LAG BUS by kinglekan(op):
A terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, LAG BUS. cheesy

Okay so am guessing you are already wondering what this is about. First of I coined my title from a vewi classy hollywood movie you need to watch if u haven't seen it already.

Nwaz I had a gr8 day and I decided to share the ist "fun and annoying" part of it with you guys.

This morning I was at the Lag bus terminal in my area and I wanted to catch the early morning bus to enable me beat the usual lagos working day traffic. After waiting for a while a bus pulls up and people start boarding, so did I.

While seated I had planned to just relax my back, take a power nap b4 I get to my destination.

After standing committee folks had all taking their positions, there was this strong carbon mono oxide that just started filling the whole bus. Trust Nigerians, they started to yell and cause the driver and the whole lag bus crew.

As I rested my head for my power nap, the Lag bus started making a very loud creaking noise that jolted me back to reality. The driver was trying all he could to activate the gear and it just didn't bulge.

Finally the gear system gave in to the strong muscles of the Pilot and we were good to go, so I thought in my mind. Next thing the bus started moving and jerking like it was been tolled and forced to move. At this point my eye don dey clear of sleep.

The speed of the bus was so slow that if my destination was a 100meter dash, I would have preferred to bring out the athleticism in me and go for a sprint. I sighed heavily knowing I would have to endure it.

While I was still deep in thoughts over the situation of things, there was a loud bang as the rear of the bus hit the ground really hard after the bus engaged a pot hole. The scream and shouts from the passengers was epic!!

"Oga driver u blind", "Oga driver nor be cow u carry ooo", "Oga wetin be dis naa" were few of the comments I could remember.

Everyone was still getting over that when there was suddenly another thud with a much greater effect than the first. I felt the impact all through my spine, this bus definitely hard no shock absorber.

At this point I had totally forgotten I wanted to take a nap and I endured the snailish movement of the bus coupled with the incessant thuds from entering pot holes.

Then I was humoured by my elderly seat partner who was all dressed up in the "The lords chosen usual apparel" as he had been deeply asleep and not even the thuds were enough to wake him up.

He slept in a very awkward position and I was still astonished as to how his neck wouldn't hurt in such a position, when all of a sudden the elderly woman standing by my side said to the man behind her "Oga hold your thing well well, nor allow am touch me again ooo".

I held in the laugh but it was killing me. Inside this rickety bus with the sun already up and scorching, a man is busy trying to misbehave. Well something to make me laugh finally I tot.

A lot more happened but my hands already hurt from typing all of this. So permit me to fast forward to this scene.
Right behind me was this two ibadan babes who seemed engrossed in their discussion. Their deep accent was undeniable nd I had not really paid much attention to them till one of them wanted to get a drink while in traffic.

After getting hers she asked her friend which one she preferred (and of cause all this was in yoruba). Next thing I heard was "Montain ni mofe". I was like which drink goes by such name?? Abi this babe wan by Kilimanjaro or Everest. Even the person selling was already confused.

She kept sayin "montain montain montain" (permit my spelling, tryna give u an Idea of how she sounded). Then as if out of frustration that she wasn't understood she shouted "MONTAIN DU"

AHHHHHHH!!! So that's what she has been trying to say. Mountain dew.

Pheww!!! What a LAG BUS!!!!

cheesy
