I just hope federal government can do this as they said but I still doubt if they will. Meanwhile, this will cause lot of inflation in the market
Why is it that when it comes to paying civil servants salary, you people always believe it would cause Inflations, The Billions FG and lawmakers have been sharing will not cause Inflations but paying workers a good minimum wage would cause it??
Why has countries with a higher minimum wage even in Africa not experiencing the so called inflation?? Make una no dey allow these wicked politicians to make you feel you don't deserve better please.

What did Buhari do with his 8 years in office? Looting, embezzlement, etc.

That's why most of his cronies are billionaires.

He practically left nothing in the save. Sold off Nigerian crude oil in advance.

Peter Obi? Don't be fooled by what you are told about him.

His tenure as governor of Anambra state was nothing to write home about. It was full of terror, murder, injustice, nepotism among his own people, embezzlement, fraud etc.

Atiku? grin What does he bring to the table? An immigration turned billionaire? Hmmmmm!

He is one of ghe problem of this country. Learnt his American university has been dollarized.

Imagine!! School fees are paid in dollars. The school has no local rating not to talk of global rating.

Is tbst the person to run the country? He will only come in and favor.... grin

About 17,000 civil servants in the core ministries will NOT get September salary. Office of Account General of the Federation.

If you didn't do or complete your IPPIS HR Verification, forget your salary
UPDATE ON THE IPPIS LIST

To all the affected officers whose names appeared on the list, you are kindly requested to go to the Ministry's IPPIS unit with your duly signed IPPIS verification payslip, your print out/ evidence of NIN link to the IPPIS self-service platform.
2. Please take this information as urgent, cos the IPPIS unit through the Director (HRM) must forward the list and evidence to the OHCSF as soon as possible in order to avert your stoppage of salary.
4. Injury to one is injury to all
5. Please accept my highest regards and solidarity as always

Please is this just rumours or it's real??

There is a rumor going round that FG has started paying palliatives to some MDA's, how truthful is ist?

It's unfortunate. I thought by September salary civil servants would begin to enjoy at least a N100k MW.
It doesn't work that way bro, there is a statutory law that mandates the review of MW after every 4 years, the next review is set to take place by next year, the highest labour Congress can do now is to push for a palliative now, while waiting for the Government by next year when talks for the NMW will begin,so I think they are being careful not to go against the law.

People like you aren't well educated and always react based on emotion rather than logic.

The court order was about forfeiture and not a court trial for drug crimes.

If Tinubu is involved in drugs crimes, the only plea bargain he could get was for a shorter jail term.

People like you who believed that Buhari actually died in 2017 and was replaced by Jubril Al-Sudani can easily believe that you can buy your freedom in the American judicial system on drug crimes by simply forfeiture of money!

Bottomline: The US never convicted Tinubu of breaking their laws, Blogger David Hundeyin can NOT convict him on his blog.
Ehya, it seems you are the ignorant one here, so just like that he forfeited his hard earned money?
Anyways you can check the documents independently and you would see NARCOTICS RELATED CRIMES boldly written, no be every body stupid for Naija.
So I will just forfeit my money if it is not crime related, I weep for una

David Hundeyin knows how gullible you people can be.

If all the law enforcement agents of the USA did arrest Tinubu and the courts in the USA didn't convict him of any wrong doing, how can a common blogger be insisting that the man broke American laws?
Lol, stop crying try and open the article, you will see the documents duly stamped and sealed where your idol went into a plea bargain and forfeited a large amount to the US before he was released, it's still on their Judicial server till date, so stop talking like an ignoramus that you are, We need to start prioritizing Education because some of you really have nothing upstairs.

The editor of this hogwash called rebuttal did a very poor job at defending Tinubu, David Hundeyin did an intensive research with original documents sealed and signed, the receipts for the payment of two luxurious houses by his daughters amounting to almost 6million Dollars was also attached, but here is someone that just finished eating Agbado and Cassava, trying so hard to defend his oppressor.
We deserve whatever we are experiencing as a country.

OFFICE OF THE HEAD OF CIVIL SERVICE OF THE FEDERATION

2nd of November, 2020

PRESS RELEASE

FG EXPLAINS DELAY IN PAYMENT OF OCTOBER SALARY

The Federal Government has given reasons for the delay in the payment of October, 2020 salaries to some civil servants assuring that necessary steps have been taken to resolve the matter.

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan in a statement issued on Monday, 2nd of November, 2020 explained that the delay is due to the fact that the 2020 budget was passed before the conclusion of negotiation on the new Minimum Wage and its consequential adjustment.

She went further to explain that a lump sum was however provided in the 2020 budget for minimum wage and its consequential adjustment.

Dr. Yemi-Esan also disclosed that a committee made up of representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, the Budget Office and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has been set up to determine the shortfalls of Ministries, Extra- Ministerial Departments and Agencies (MDAs). The shortfalls are to be paid from the lump sum already set aside in the budget for the Minimum wage and its consequential adjustment.

The Committee is expected to conclude its work by the end of this week so that salaries can be paid.

While appreciating civil servants for their patience, the Head of Service also informed that she is in touch with the Director General, Budget Office, who assured that salaries will be paid by the end of this week.

That will depend on the current salary being earned, i.e. current salary + (11% of the current salary)
if that's the case it's too small, imagine someone earning 60k and you add 7k on top, is that the adjustment Rubbish

It is a known fact that minimum wage increase will lead to a percentage increase in other salary levels too, though it might not be noticeable.

I could remember when 18k was implemented, some senior staff only received about 1k raise! The LU based their demands on minimum wage bill, not salary raise; if they'd clamoured for general wage increase instead, it'd have been another case entirely.please how much is even the 11% they are proposing??

Wetin go pain me pass here is if LU eventually accepts the 9/9.5% increase the FG is offering cuz that means they've denied civil servants months of that incremental benefits (since April).
please how much is even the 11% FG Is proposing??

that is additional N11,000 on every N100,000. So people who are earning N500k will now earn N555,000. And some of this civil servant earned close to N1m monthly salary.
for someone earning 60k how much is the 11%??

TGM2015:

First sensible comment I can see. From the post, we have

So labour do not know that the purpose of fighting for minimum wage is solely for those that are less paid and not those who are well paid. Most importantly is the percentage rate of increasing those that are well pay must be determined by the ability of the employer to paid. Seriously, the initial and new rate proposed by the Labour is totally uncalled for, so somebody already N500k should now be earning N620k. And the same Labour know fully well that over 60% of the current national budget goes to salaries and allowance of their members. They want capital development and security, reduction of taxes but want the budget of salaries and wages to be close to 75% of the total budget.
seems you are vast in this percentage stuff, how much do you think 11% is??
