BusinessRe: Rice Price’ll Fall By Nov. — FG by kingphilip(m): 6:30am On Oct 11, 2016
Personally I'm tired of hearing it from the media.. I think the farmers association of Nigeria will be in a better position to tell us all this

But the damage has already been done though even though from all indications it will never be the same again in coming years i.e. a bag of rice can never go back to below #10000 again not now not the next few years

This is what you get when laid down rules and procedures isn't followed in the discharge of one's duties

Expect more of this in coming days but I can also assure you that this is just good for our judiciary in that it'll help in curbing favoritism for the government by not been intimidated by any case the government brings before it

Last bullet: all corrupt officers in whatever government position should be flushed out despite all odds but let it be done with the rule of law as guiding principle

I thought those are mere stories those times we hear this things but now they're here with us

You had an informant and that should just be the ideal person to have given you an insight about the educational qualifications needed for the job

I won't be surprised if the other guy has PhD but submitted a cv containing an ssce as the highest qualification since he's a WASSCE holder too

I'll do that any day any time if the need be and then subsequent promotions one can even submit better qualifications since you're in house now

Anyway Wishing you da very best of luck in your subsequent interviews

This should serve as a lesson that always do a background check of the qualifications and if it's not clearly spelt out the position one is applying for will tend to tilt you towards the maximum qualification that might be required

For instance one can't be applying for a cleaner job even if it has a pegged amount of 100k with an MSc qualification and expect to get it ahead of an ssce holder

This present Eagles have some splashing semblance of great things to come and I believe in them to take us to Russia in 2018

I'm just bothered about their lack of friendlies in recent times.. For them to improve and blend-bond together, they need to play more games together to understand themselves and do better because there's always room for improvement in all we do

We really need to take this qualifiers one game at a time.. It's too early for us to start pressing calculators like the days of old and our qualifications depending on other people's win or loss or draw.. Let's take full charge and conquer the continent as it has been in days gone by

Lalasticlala day don break o

EducationRe: The Cancellation Of Post Utme, A Blessing To Our Educational System. by kingphilip(m): 6:40am On Oct 09, 2016
Are we still on this back and forth story again??

Any day any time I'll prefer the post utme system because twas what I rode on to get admission and graduate..

I scored 214 in jamb and scored 92 in post utme and was given admission then

The fact is when you see you didn't make high scores in jamb it somehow propels you to prepare overly well in post utme there giving you an edge to get admission that same year

And I see this system encouraging malpractice because everyone will start going for it must get 5 A's at all costs in ssce and then do all sorts to make sure they hit that target

But what do I know.. The ministry in charge have spoken

I just thank God I'm done with University so as not to be in that situation

Wishing all nairalanders who's seeking admission the best of luck with their choice of universities

FamilyRe: My Wife Is Too Proud To Apologise by kingphilip(m): 8:55pm On Oct 07, 2016
mrk74:
We had a little talk though we didn't really agree where she claimed she is the vulnerable one in the relationship which is a surprise to me. I asked her to substantiate that and she said I'm always expecting her to be the one to apologize whenever we have issues. To that I asked if I should apologize when she does something that offends me and she couldn't answer. She then insisted she had apologized by telling me to stop being angry with her but it's like I don't accept that as an apology. I told her she should forget about it and she can continue using the item since it means too much to her. The issue has already been overblown. I've decided to give her more space. For now, if she is not comfortable on anything I will just let her be and I'll also only take her suggestion that I'm comfortable with.

I think the ease with which I adjust makes her take it for granted. When we've gone on like this for a while I think she will realize that I also used to take inconvenience to please her at several instances.
oga don't let it get to this point please where everyone goes to his or her tent.. To me it doesn't speak well of the unity and peace of the home

I don't correct people a lot when it comes to having wrong impressions and doubts but hey its your wife we're talking about here, your soulmate.

Everyone shifts grounds that's understandable and probably since she doesn't voice out that much it seems she doesn't but I can assure you she does too

Probably try seeking more of her opinion in many matters and just suggest if you have contrary opinion and make her see things your way or something and see if it'll work out

Sometimes ago I think I read a joke or something like that where one was saying that for ones household not to have problems, the man should delegate minor issues to the wife and take major issues.. Minor issues like which meal to prepare, number of children to give birth to and all others and let the man take major decisions like who to become the president of Nigeria, who to become the next premier League champions

In a nutshell bros no go that way of leaving her to herself even when you see she's going wrong just make her see reasons why she shouldn't and if she insists you tried your best and the consequences will justify you

Let peace rain in your home I pray

What I see here is that alot of folks have shitty traits and think it is normal. There is no excuse for not apologising when you are wrong, I once was like you guys, ego wouldn't let me mutter am sorry. but later I realised the scarcity of sorry makes even friendship degenerate and sure as hell it is worse off for a marriage. I am not married but if you are, observe the few reasonably happily married couples around you, they apologise effortlessly.

Though on Op's issue his wife have already apologized.. he noted she asked him to stop being angry and asked if he is still angry, that is one way of apologising if she said it in a right tone.. for someone like me, that is good enough.. the remaining issue is the actual apology which is repentance or desisting from the condiment she puts in his food cos sorry is a useless phrase if there is no change.
that last line is the crux of everything

I'll also include it's a useless phase when it is an avoidable but purposely with the sole aim of offending

FamilyRe: My Wife Is Too Proud To Apologise by kingphilip(m): 11:51pm On Oct 06, 2016
I've built myself over the years to not accept apologies and commendation because I see them as nothing.

Why apologize when it was in your power not to cause what will lead to apologizing and saying thank you to me too just doesn't go down well with me and sometimes makes me not to render any assistance again so as not to gain that

Op everyone is wired differently and so we must all tolerate and compromise a little in order to accommodate each other not to the detriment of putting our lives on the line though

NB: I still apologize to people and also appreciate too whenever my actions seems to get to people though and when an assistance is rendered to me because I understand most people love that and requires that for every offenses committed and every assistance rendered..

In a nutshell take everything lightly and find a way not to get angry, joke about everything, laugh it off and you'd see that everything will begin to fall in place

I'll love to really ask this question answer honestly

Did you stay in the hostel during your university days??

My tolerance was hatched, nurtured, built and matured there.. I tolerate everyone except when my grievances comes from within though

Wishing your family peace and many other families passing through a misunderstanding phase I speak peace

Good night great people of nairaland
