I have been having issues with the no 1 ignition coil of my 2015 nissan almera.
Recently,the problem was traced to the vehicle ECU. I've contacted more than 15 sellers on jiji, and it is either they said I should use an alternative vehicle ECU or buy an older version. Please, where can I get the exact ECU of the vehicle?

Guys with s21 here. Is it normal for my s21 fingerprint sensor and face id not to work through some screen protector. Tried different screen guards today and it did not work even though they were the s21 size. Would have gone for the generic one with the hole in the middle but it's very scarce. Could not find it

There is a setting that you can use to increase the sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor.

I ran the VIN check to know the actual mileage at auction, and it was 71k miles. it was imported by the last owner in dec 2022, arrived early 2023 according to the import duty and clearing papers with me. Is it possible the odometer has been tampered with? The car is clean and first body.

These questions you're raising were supposed to be asked before you parted with your cash. It changes nothing about the car or your purchase status now.

It doesn't change the state of the car, enjoy the car or sell it off if you're not comfortable or satisfied with its state.

I did a check on the Vin number, and I found out it was 71k miles at auction, the previous owner imported the car late 2022, he put over 200k miles on it in two years, that gave me the clue it might be highway miles, I maybe wrong though.

You said previous owner put 71k miles in 2022, he then went ahead to put over 200k miles after importing it. How sure are you of these claims?

What if the instrument cluster (speed clock) was changed?
I don't anybody can easily put 200k miles in 2 years in Nigeria, but its very very rare and very difficult to achieve such mileage with such car still looking clean at least from the pictures you posted here.

I suggest your mechanic idle it till it breaks in, it should be fine as long as he did everything he was supposed to do. But if it doesn't work, check the top header. I suggest you replace it.

So I bought high mileage car unknowingly, Camry 2014 with over 270k miles. I saw the ad from a dealer in Abuja, I contacted my friend in Abj who linked me with a mechanic he trusts to go check the status of the car. He certified the car and told me the engine was okay though he noticed it had been worked on and also the transmission switches fine, that it only needed a few touches and would be ready to be on the road to Ibadan. He didn't mention anything about the mileage, he just confirmed the status of the engine and the rest. I paid the dealer and arranged for the mechanic to do his check-up and drive to Ibadan. Now days after I got my car, I started reading more about cars and their problems, I saw many disclaimers about buying high-mileage cars, and I started thinking I made a huge mistake, and that I had wasted money. No major fault yet, because I have only done short distances and barely drive it. What should I expect when I start making long distances? And your honest opinions and experiences about high mileage cars. Thank you.

Toyota are known to have longevity. The car will perform excellently well as long as its been maintained very well by its previous owners. As for that high mileage, it could be highway mileage which is a very good thing or it could be that the vehicle was used for fleet or commercial purpose abroad.

For the logo that fell off, get it back there with super glue.

It's normal with Lexus ES250 1991 models.

Guys I need advice. So my Cars' steering lock system failed. It's a c300, the key car turn the ignition or steering no more. So my electrician said he can fix it and put another one, that allows me to use forever. He said this one is like plastic, that the only disadvantage is that my care steering won't be locking no more. I don't know how good this one is. I usually like doing the things that was engineered by the manufacturers cause they had a reason they did it. Is it best to go with the method the electrician suggested, or is there a way I can fix or buy a new Eis that can be programmed to the car and the key?

He wants to use an emulator rather than the factory steering lock system. The positive side is your car won't experience such steering lock failure, the down side is, your steering won't be able to lock when you stop the car and take off the key.

Hmmm... That's very outrageous. I recently got a Taiwan ball joint for 25k. Other Chinese brands and tokunbo even costs less. So I don't know how he's billing you 50k for ball joint.

Since you know he has a knack for inflating prices for you and also profiled you to ba a Yahoo boy, how are you sure you can trust his services enough to be honest with his dealing and he's not in any way doing half works so you can always come back to his shop for repairs.

You think it's everybody that put sloop ball joints, I'm sure you have never ever priced DORMAN, DELPHI, CENTRIC or ACDELCO ball joints for accord!

Check fuse and relays, check AC blower resistor.

Good day bosses. My corolla 2010, after a long distance drive, I noticed the temp gauge goes up.. it goes back to normal then goes up while accelerating. it happens most time while on traffic too.. when i got to my destination, allow the car to calm down.. I open the radiator gap to top with coolant but the level is still intact showing no sign of dryness.. what could be the problem?

Check your thermostat, fan, radiator may be dirty too. Your ECT sensor may be defective too.

There's nothing I can advise you to do since you've executed the repairs and you're satisfied with it
It's medicine after death to advise further.

Both are good if you have good suspension parts.

The down side of the Lexus is it's quite nose heavy due to the heavy V6 and transmission, the hideously front and rear overhangs and it's abysmally poor brake performance.


I'd take the Lexus over the Peugeot anyday.

Good day. My corolla 2011 TPMS light came up after I changed all the tires, it blinks after start up for like 30 seconds and stays on. I've checked the tire pressure and all are same, I've done alignment and wheel balancing. Same issues. What do I do? I scanned and had a code p0037= heated O2 sensor heater circuit low voltage bank 1 sensor 2. Kindly advise. Thanks

Your vulcanizer has broken the sensors.
Get a Tokunbo sensor and reprogramme them to the car. This time let another competent tyre shop handle it
As for the p0037, replace the downstream O2 sensor, it's under the car.
