I have a 2006 Honda Accord. When I start the car to idle, the exhaust steams normally but I recently noticed that once I give it a little gas, blue smoke comes out of exhaust. Note. I recently serviced. It was minimal before the service but it is a bit intensified now and I feel it will continue to deteriorate .

What could be wrong and what are the risks in using it at least this week before taking to the shop.

What oil do you use and whats the oil change interval?

I drive Toyota Avalon 2006, my gearbox spoilt, so I change it by buying direct Belgium.
After fixing the new gear, when u put it in reverse it will shake the car, while when you put in drive it will jump gear 2 to 3, mechanic told me it’s because the injector head is bad and making the vehicle overheat which I noticed. But after testing as I want to pack the car, the drive gear stopped engaging, only the reverse is entering with a big sound that will shake my car.


Please help me.

If your car wasn't acting in such a strange manner prior to replacement of transmission,the transmission is defective, please ask for a replacement or a refund.

Thanks for your response, my car has a dedicated O/D switch with 5speed automatic transmission. Check again.

No vex, my mind carry me go Lexus ES330 or Camry XV40.

My 2006 Toyota Camry i4 has a shudder with the following characteristics:
1. Vibrations start at around 50m/hr or 80km/hr.
2. Happens only on light throttle.
3. It goes away if I let off the throttle or press Down and it shifts to a lower gear.
4. Only happens after 5th gear when the rpm drops below 2000.

My suspicion is a faulty torque converter for the following reasons:
1. If I turn off Over Drive, limiting the transmission to 4 gears it never vibrates.
2. I’ve dropped the pan, cleaned and actually flushed the transmission fluid with T-IV. And it made no difference; so I know it’s not a fluid issue.
3. My tires are new and balanced
4. Car runs smoothly at same speed it usually vibrates when I turn off OD.
5. My engine mounts and shafts are tight with no clucks when I engage drive or reverse.

Please gurus am I on the right track? Your contributions will be greatly appreciated! If I am on the right track, how do I know a good replacement TC?

It's a transmission issue, I can't tell if it's a torque converter issue or not. By the way, 2006 XV30/40 does not have a dedicated O/D switch if it's a 5sp auto. Or is there something I'm missing?

Change radiator, but flush that transmission system and hope for the best.

If cost isn't a challenge, I'd take a GS over an ES or IS anytime anyway.its a better built car all round. I have a customer that has owned his since 2018 at 73k miles, its now 107k miles, it's a daily driver car, till date no oil leak, no CEL nothing. It still looks and feel pristine inside out nothing like EPS electrical problem.

Hi Kingreign. Mine is a 2014 v4 Accord (Lagos). I’ve traction light, check engine, steering wheel, LDW, FCW lights on (plus FCW failure flashing in the centre panel).

Before this happens the forward collision light on the windshield would flash and minutes later all the error lights on the dashboard come on. First time mechanic scanned it he got a camshaft position error (camshaft was changed recently), he said he needed to program to ECU to recognize the camshaft then he cleared the code. It came back next day.

I’d another mechanic scans it, he repositioned the camshaft but FCW and LDW stayed on. This he said was tied to the ABS and resurfacing something about the Tyre. (TPMS has always been on, something about the sensor replaced by a valve so o need to revert to a sensor instead).

He did it and lights went off. They are back in the next day. I don’t like the trial and error these men are doing and Honda’s forum suggest way too many reasons for this from battery/alternator to sensors and plugs.

What do you think is the problem as I'm uncomfortable driving a car lit up like a Christmas tree and camshaft position error still persists in all scanner results.

Thanks for the support so far. I was the one who asked about a Toyota Rav4 gear replacement. The gear has been replaced, but I noticed a leak which a mechanic said is from the gear seal on the shaft. I would like to know if it is a simple fix.
Secondly, I noticed that the instrument cluster readings on my dash seem to have some form of zero error when the ignition key is in the "on" position. The tachometer seems to start at 500 rpm, pushing the idling value to around 1500 rpm. The speedometer and temperature gauges read way below zero and the fuel level does not go below a quarter tank even if the fuel is empty. These gauges rest at the zero point if the vehicle is turned off. Please advise if there is any solution as the reading on the temperature gauge seem to be causing the check engine like to come on (P0128 and P0118).

My Peugeot 406 is consuming lots of Fuel. I spend about 16k or 18k every three days on fuel for a distance that is not up to 1km - just city drive work and school runs only. I used to use 10 - 12L for one week, but now it's about 20L every three to four days. What could be the issue? The last time I scanned it (three weeks ago), I was told and shown that there were no permanent error codes and the temporary ones wiped immediately they were cleared. But, this high fuel consumption continued. My catalyst is also intact.

Your water pump, or headgasket is bad. Check and replace them.
