Make that 2003 C320 a choice but it should be 2005 C320. It's the best of power and reliability, and it's also not too expensive to replace the engine.
Your marital status shouldn't suffice now. At least for now.

Hello house. Wonderful job out here. I'm considering getting either an Rx 330 or Rx 400h. The 400h beats the 330 in engine speed and other little areas..but my uttermost concerns about getting the 400h is the probability of the hybrid battery dying or the inverter getting bad. Please I need your personals views about which would be ideal for our naija use( all factors considered) I heard to change the hybrid battery runs into almost 1 million....

For now, except you're close to Gazzuzz and few others, do not go near RX400h or else you may not find things easy when the hybrid inverter or battery pack goes bad. The hybrid battery packs and inverter cost some good money though.


I'd advice you stick with the normal ICE variants RX330. That said, I have a registered RX330 for sale which I used personally, if it's okay by you you can check it out.

Not always the case, Canada accepts miles and kilometers units.

There are many grades of Mobil oils, a lot aren't even suitable for your cars so I wouldn't know the grade used. That said, Toyota recommends a 5000miles/7,500 km or 6months oil change interval.
That said, I'd advice you continue to use the exact grade of oil used previously in servicing them.

About security, (Make I laugh small), he suggested that he will remove the key hole on the two front doors and buy 2 door openers (for back doors - note that they dont have key hole) so that he can only open the doors with 'remote'. He is afraid of these Toyota thieves.

Look up the processes and stages thru which the car paint goes thru before commenting ignorantly.

Outfits in Abuja like Ketts autos, Lagos boy, auto beauty etc would do similar paint make over with similar steps I mentioned above for nothing less than 250k.

FYI, Na fake paint you go buy Las Las for less than 100k fact.

Well, it's a factory defect that Toyota US/Canada market suffered.

A friend wants to buy the SUV but he learnt the motor consumes oil. I advised him to get 2005 model just because of the upgrades (JBL premium sound etc) but I don't know about the engine. He is considering 4 cylinder(harder to find as we see more of 3.3L 6cylinder) or 6 cylinder but Is the 4 cylinder engine any good?

Having owned a 2003 highlander 2.4i 4 cylinders for 4 years without any issues, and an RX330 3.3L V6 (same engine in highlander) without any issues, I'd advice your friend to go for the V6.

More power, smoother, more quieter, more reliable and more rugged.

Wrong. Very very wrong idea. A low mileage car used in New York or some other busy location will have more wear and tear than a car having considerably higher mileage driven on the interstate highways.

Goodmorning beautiful people, I started the car this morning and noticed the reverse gear lag has stopped, I remembered before it started, the car had a dead battery so we changed batteries while engine was still running, and then put in the dead battery back to charge up as it was loose ends that didnt let it charge in the first place. Could this be a reason for the transmission acting strangely the way it did ?

Toyota/Lexus and some other modern cars have 'relearn' mode. When you replace battery or you have a battery run down, and recharge it, it goes into a 'relearn mode' to learn your driving style and adapt to it. Usually, the idle, gear changes and throttle input at first nay seen awkward but as you start driving or allowing it to learn your input, it corrects itself to suit your driving style. This could be what you experienced.
