Following the arrest of the embattled Nigerian singer Dammy Krane who was arrested in the US for grand theft and fraud, one of his aunts who resides in the US has taken to his side. Dammy Krane’s aunt wanted her identity to be protected as she could not help coming to the aid of the Nigerian singer whose image is gradually getting tarnished. She explained that she got wind of his detention on the internet. According to her, the dark skinned singer had visited her a week before. On making some calls, she confirmed that it was indeed true.
Dammy Krane’s aunt revealed that the guy he was arrested with, Chukwuebuka, had booked him for a show this weekend in Miami. The singer had been booked across America for shows.
The devastated lady revealed that it was Chukwuebuka that booked and paid for the private jet with the stolen card details. The same guy had also made the hotel reservations. “You know it is a usual thing for show promoters to book flight tickets for artistes, so one cannot blame Dammy in this situation. A lawyer has already been contacted but unfortunately, Dammy would have to
stay in jail till Monday when they would be able to go to court to perfect bail conditions,” she said. The Nigerian singer was arrested on Friday, June 2, after he allegedly booked a jet from Tap Jets to Miami using stolen credit cards. The private jet leasing company has vowed to take the case up as they detest all sorts of fraudulent activities.
