Thank you Namea for the response.

Namae:

You are very correct Horlaarsco.
Kingsmum the 3 month visa has multiple entries and can be extended by another 3 months upon expiry in Brazil.
After which you now pay fines for visa overstaying when you've birthed and are getting the Permanent Residence.

May God give us his favour, because only him can do it.
Travel / Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Kingsmum: 2:15pm On Feb 03, 2020
Thanks a lot for clarifying!

Horlaarsco:

I think what they mean is get the visa but you can still stay in Nigeria, the visa takes like 1 year to expire if you don't use.. Then you can now go to the country when heavy, it starts reading as soo. As you get there... Abi my bosses no be so??

Hi Adjo10 and all the others contributors to this group, thank you for all the information and support.

Found this group through searches and read up the pages throughout the night. Pardon me if I am about to ask questions already responded to.

From my understanding, several people here have been issued 3 months visa instead of 1 year visa. Henceforth one should be pregnant before applying? Getting pregnant after visa issue means one spending minimum of 6-9months over there which can’t due to work.

Can you get the tourist visa first, use it for that return and renew for birthing? This is expensive no doubt and has anyone done that before and how did renewal go?

How many people have gotten the 1 year visa though and what are the chances of getting it.

Thank you in advance to your kind response.

Dear mums.. I hail o, this is my first post here tho am always lurking. Pls Dr Google has diagnosed my daughter of having baby acne and I understand it does disappear on it own after a few weeks. However don't know if there is a quick remedy am currently using Aquaphor healing oilment and breastmilk.

Also seems dis my daughter go b high maintenance, she had peeling skin and some discoloration from birth. Used Ori, got her darker..then Johnson n Johnson no much improvement had to buy d almighty Sabemed. It made some improvement b4 dis rashes/acne now. Btw used ori n JnJ which worked well on my son.

Abeg when will Sabemed start to make her skin glow nd does it lighten.

Yea i stayed one midnight .. got to the hospital about midday on the 19th, baby came around 5:35pm same day. Dr E gave me d clear to go at about 3am, while baby got discharged around 6/7ish pm after the repeat tests done 24hours later after delivery.

quote author=ozycy post=41512661]
Wow,Dis is good.
Didn't know it can be this low cos I remember that first mama dat mentioned Dr E said she stayed one day and still got abt $335.
Guess it's the midnight thingy, you probably stayed just one midnight. I stayed 2 night lol.
when did you deliver?

Congrat kiboe on the arrival of your bundle of joy.

Funny enough NICS billed me $187. Probably cos baby and I stayed only for 24hours and we were both good to go.

ozycy:
I think NIC may have increased their rate as most mamas that gave birth of recent didn't get same $335 I and oda old mamas got.
Or maybe it's just the whatever screening dat resulted to the extra cost.
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Kingsmum: 5:34pm On Dec 30, 2015
Ok will involve Dr E if the nurses are still clueless when I get there. Thanks again

firsttymum:
tell them you wanna see the epidural peeps.
Mayb d nurses on duty didn't know.
Dr E told them to call them to come take their money
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Kingsmum: 5:25pm On Dec 30, 2015
Thanks akelvin.. will go back to make the payment. Did u get a zero balance statement apart from the receipt given.
quote author=akelvin post=41468482]

That's d same thing they told us we can't pay there,we told Dr E and she called them to come n take their money they came took d cash n gave us receipts there.other mamas take note u can tell Dr E to call them to collect their money is easier paying while in d hospital .
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Kingsmum: 11:14pm On Dec 29, 2015
Thanks Firstty for the response. Interestingly while there I requested to make payment for the epidural (i had read ur post) and the nurses got someone from accounts/admin who said I can't pay there, no one would take cash from me.

Is there a specific person I can ask for at the hospital to be able to make the payment. Thanks

firsttymum:

For others... U can actually pay your epidural before u r discharged. They will come up to u and collect it and give u ur receipt.

If it's an emergency... U can drive to oakbend and pay
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Kingsmum: 4:50pm On Dec 29, 2015

Hi.. I concur with dere5 as I had a similar experience. I was honest about the training(more of social event sef) and plans of having my baby there. I went along with all d relevant docs which she looked at and approved d visa. I attended d event in Newyork before heading to Elpaso.

quote author=dere5 post=38026746]

I think you are good to go,i dont think you need to send them a mail since the visa has not been issued. Just be truthfull and explain to the vo that plans had been made for the training before you got pregnant and you have decided to have the baby there after the training and pls go prepared with all the neccessary burden of proof.
Best of luck with your interview.
Actually she strarted with J Stroger Cook County where she got a bill of abt19k, she paid off $2. 5k which includes the labs, prenatal checks done and closed her account. You may need to call the Dr to find out about accepting tests done in Nigeria.

His name is Dr Oransare, he is Nigerian affiliated to Access group. I think another mama provided more info a few pages back.

and closed her a/c with them and start
customised87:

Hello, pls does this Doc accept test results from Nigeria? And can u pls tell me the Dr's name?

I posted this b4 but for some reason it disappeared. My sister just had a baby at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. Hospital 2000$, Dr 2055$, tests bothbmum and baby 775$, 80$ for each antenatal visit tho another nairaland mum got 30$ (had only one visit, gave birth at 36weeks) 130$ for doctor's visit after delivery and 105$ for peadiatrician. The obgyn dr is with Access group affiliated to Mount Sinai hospital. Hope it helps
