Kobojunkie: Again, OP did not say that his friend did not thank him. The issue here is not that the friend was not grateful.
2. Your idea of love may not be your wife's idea of love. Hence, the reason why it becomes important to get the other side of the story. Kolosjunkie, you never tire? |

Kenbuzzy: We only heard one part of the story. When you hear the other side, then you know the truth. Besides, whatever help you give anyone, do not expect anything in return. Do it because it is the right thing to do let your reward come from God. The OP had a choice not to help but he did. Even if we do not expect anything in return, at least we expect gratitude. The opinion of not expecting anything in return is vague. Will you love your wife and she gives her love to someone else? |

No expectations, no disappointment He is a bad person period. Even if you had no expectations, gratitude is the least he could display to appreciate your assistance. Some people are just plain selfish and we don't have to justify them. |

seunoyeleyep: I was in boarding house and I can confirm everything she said here is right. My performance dropped hugely when I was in boarding house.
You know what they called 'Labour'? Each time I remember the agony, I feel depressed. The seniors were dangerously ruthless. I was beaten with CUTLASS, belt, stick and whatnot.
I'm not sure I really have any fond memory of staying in boarding house. Boarding house is not for everybody. My first 2 years were difficult to fit in. Eventually, it made the best years out of my life. |

epainos: Dr. Olukoya is your man when it comes to sports. He has done an amazing job developing that area and winning souls for Christ through it. Another aspect is how he rewards all first-class graduates at his church. He rewards them handsomely, in the millions. Now, the majority of his church members want to fly first class because they know they will be rewarded. He even purchased a new car for each of the class's first graduates several years ago. This man is amazing at developing talents. The man of God is on his own lane doing alot of great things and being biblical about his moves. Unfortunately, there has been alot of slander against him by evil agents here and Sahara reporters. They will skip this news. |

RevenuesBoost: I've heard gists about the harsh treatment in boarding schools that each time my parents want to punish you for what you did, you'll hear, "if you repeat this, I'll send you to boarding school!"
In my secondary school days, I had a friend that was sent to boarding school, on the first term, she came back so lean. She gave us terrible stories Things like: - Seniors seizing your provisions - Using one sachet of water to bath especially when there is no water and if there is limited supply of water, the seniors come into their rooms and forcefully take it. - Senior forcing the girls to be lesbians, especially in girls schools. If you refuse it, they punish you by giving you a very harsh punishment from time to time. ... Thousands of Nigerians passed through this system and they have become better human beings. |

There are boarding schools in the UK where children are being bullied. There are boarding schools in the UK where children are being sexually harassed. Infact the public schools in UK are a breeding ground for gang violence too. Enough of denigrating Nigeria to prove that you're fully British. Many of us passed through the same boarding school experience and it made us stronger not wimps. |

Reference: This is a similar angle to what I said. Leverage on his success by doing something of greater value. Imagine setting up an academy for him. Parents and care institutions will be falling over themselves to participate and the impact of his values, achievement and skills will be better harvested. Exactly but we are for plugging into trending achievements to stay relevant. |

Barteze: Did you say wastage? Na wa ooooooh! If rewarding athletes that brought glory and honor and most importantly giving Nigerians reason to celebrate a waste what will you call embarking over #24m to mount one street light or budgeting the same #24m to install CCTV cameras in a state house? I hope you know that with just one stroke of a pen these political leaders have signed away bigger amounts for their personal use. I could go on and on let's just be happy for these girls who are ordinary Nigerians like you and I who God just remembered owing to the fact that most of these struggled a lot we heard stories of how some of them begged money to transport themselves back to their base because NFF left them stranded after honouring match invites. No worry if them win world cup, we go build them statues |

Women like these dey tire me. You think because you are married to man, it is by force that you must stay married? His family didn't like you before the marriage, is it when you are married they will suddenly love you? For you both to be in the same house and not talk for one year, what makes you think the marriage is still in tact? You chose not to do anything to make your marriage work but now you're here crying foul because the man chose to seek happiness elsewhere. Abeg let us rest. Marriage is not by force. If it doesn't work, you move on. |

They are doing it for their own financial interests. But by the FG, that's not the best. How about build more stadiums, invest in sports than make footballers who have already being paid by FIFA 2X richer. Not like up to 1% of Nigerians actually watched the tournament. |

Forget about $1m prize for the trophy. What honor and glory? Who watches female football? Less than 5% of Nigerians actually watched this tournament. You that is talking, can you name 5 female players of the national team? What honor and glory while majority are hungry and cannot afford fuel to their generators to watch the match. The money is too much. |

$100,000 while majority of Nigerians are hungry, 70% of Nigerians are unemployed. Country is in debt, roads are bad and you're rewarding female footballers with 150 million Naira each. For winning WAFCON that less than 1% of Nigerians actually watched. This is waste of money. |

shaqhead: It's not so easy as you write it here especially for so many that find themselves in a desperate search for a decent accommodation that is fair price! True, these landlords and agents feed on desperation. One thing I have learnt during house search is taking one's time. Gather your money, take your time. Don't be too desperate. It's well. |

Rapmoney: Believe it or not, most of these greedy house agents who have made under trees and roadside their offices, live in terrible apartments like the one in the photo. These greedy folks cannot afford to pay for same apartments they are trying to rip you off with.
They will tell you: Agent fee is N150,000 Caution fee is N100,000 Management fee is N100,000 Agreement fee is N100,000 Inspection fee is N10,000 House rent is N300,000
Now, imagine a prospective tenant paying you N150,000 just for taking him/her to see a house that neither belong to you nor your papa. You expect the prospective tenant to pay unnecessary fees which when put together, is even greater that the actual rent for the house.
The way these guys extort people searching for accommodation is something else...follow them to their apartments, you will throw up! This is crap. Agency and Agreement fees are usually 10% of the actual rent. Caution fee has been scrapped. Yes inspection fee dey but as a sharp guy, you can avoid it. As a house seeker, you owe yourself not to be cheated. |
