You think Medicine is only Biology?

Biology is only 100 level, and it carried the same weight as the Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry we did. Some people were kicked out at that point because they struggled in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.

Then we did Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the other levels and then some high-volume courses that makes secondary school Biology look like nursery rhymes.

Can a student who scored so high a year ago score so low this year? These figures don’t add up and Jamb has a lot of explanations to do because there are a lot of irregular scores flying around.

I mean, I wouldn’t score below 150 if I suddenly wrote jamb this morning.

The only Governor of the 2007 -2015 Class who can touch Akpabio's coattails is maybe Fashola.

Forget how I dunk on Akpabio to keep people like him on their toes but he was very good Governor. Asides initiating and completing projects, the executed ones are very durable. Roads and bridges Akpabio built haven't required renovation for most parts 10 years after leaving office.

And, yes, the man is right - nobody can touch his achievements; not even Peter Obi if we are being blunt.

For context, Amaechi and Uduaghan were receiving roughly the amounts as or more than Akpabio but Godswill towers above both of them combined for project execution.
He might inflate contracts (they all do) but he ensures the projects are done.

The ones here with underperforming governors who served concurrently as Akpabio but give their governors a pass or never criticise them yet want to nail him.

If there was no term limit and Senatorial District rotation agreement in 1999, Godswill would have edged it for a third and fourth terms. That's how much he's still loved amongst Akwa Ibom folks.

And, like Tinubu, Akpabio raised men and women. The new generation of politicians and multitude who got wealthy off state government benevolence trace back to Akpabio mostly.

I just take a dump on him because of the contract inflation all politicians are guilty of which is corruption in my books regardless of the good he has done. Still, none of these guys can touch Akpabio's achievements as Governor till tomorrow. None!

He did very very well, even the blind could testify. Obot Akara I drove past in 2009 was a shytehole I was shocked when I went on a mentorship drive in 2014 or 15 and I saw the roads, the Flyovers, the Nicon tower and all that, the state now had a face and a voice. Akpabio is a loudmouth, an uncouth fellow and a lot of other things but goddammit he was a good Governor. The ones who leave potopoto roads and arrest protesting doctors cannot lace his boots

NUC has unbundled Mass Communication and elevated it to a full Faculty with the following departments:

Public Relations
Advertising
Broadcasting
Film and Multimedia Studies
Development Communication Studies
Information and Media Studies

When I was in Uni, Mass Communication was known for having never produced a First Class graduate. That record was later broken and the department has produced some first class graduates in recent years.

The department also began its exams two weeks ahead of other Faculties (alongside the Faculty of Education) because of the large number of courses that had to be written by the students.

The unbundling is a good development and brings it inline with current demands, and offers students the opportunity to specialize in their areas of interests that align with their career aspirations.

I may be wrong but I kinda feel Film & Multimedia Studies is a duplication of Theatre Arts.

You're absolutely right, back then in Unical it was Theatre and Media Studies and na there boys dey escape go watch waist rolling plays for Chinua Achebe arts theatre. Everytime we catch our guy there e go say na for 'research purposes'
