Foreign Affairs / Re: Taliban Renames Country Islamic Emirate Of Afghanistan (Pictures) by kinharold(m): 4:24pm On Aug 17, 2021
It's sad, and I really pity the innocent people of Afghanistan, but that's the reality.

Power has changed hands and along with it comes CHANGE.

I think it's a misconception to think that the whole of the country wants Islamic rule. There are dissents, supporters and members of the deposed government. In twenty years, most Afghanistanis had developed a liberal approach to life; not to talk of the youthful population who were not exposed to Taliban terror reign of the past. These people cannot feel secured in a Taliban run government, despite assurances to the contrary. They will want to seek every means to escape.
Why didnt they rise and resist the advancing Taliban. Remember how ISIS was resisted by a small Kurdish village before the world came to their rescue.

Instead of the President to go to the SW, with VP to the North, it's better we have President to the Middle-Belt (North), with VP to the East.

We always hear every now and then about SME Empowerment or Funding Programme by Government or other Parties and they are mosttimes linked to the banks but one hardly sees anything practical in that regard,

Even the Policies and Product Services of most of the Banks are mostly only on Paper.

When elrufai was busy working on this port other governors that have such need were equally busy blaming fg for not building port in their domen, what an irony?

He can think of building a Dry Port because Amaechi has focused on and ensured that the Northern Rail-lines are functional. Or was it hell Rufai that did the Rails from Lagos to Kaduna?

Travel / Re: Rivers Monorail: Is This The End Of Africa's First Monorail? by kinharold(m): 12:58pm On May 15, 2018
ANYBODY that is honest, sincere, reasonable, right thinking and loves Rivers State at all WILL NOT SUPPORT that project. Even the Consultants Amaechi brought told him so. Amaechi was looking for a drain pipe and he found it in that project.

Like many persons have pointed out,
1. The rail is right now covering a distance where you only need N50 public transport to cover CONVENIENTLY.
You dont Monorail.

2. The area is in the part of the City that they call "Town", near Govt House. It is not crowded with the regular traffic jam of a city.
You dont need monorail.

3. The monorail does not have "stops" at the strategic places that commuters needs to embark/disembark, Bus/Taxi does it well.
You dont need monorail

4. Transportation/Traffic situation in Port Harcourt even today is NOT as bad as what you had in Lagos, even in the early 90s.
You dont need monorail

5. The Billions that has been spent on that small part of the project can revive all schools and health centres in Rivers state.
You dont need Monorail.

6. In Port Harcourt where many people especially Ogonis are living in "Bachah" (Wooden Structures) and watersides slumps (Thank God Amaechi destroyed most of them); people are in dye need of housing.
You dont need monorail.

Wike has continued with so many if not all road and other projects initiated by Amaechi. Many people appreciate him for that. But nobody has even mentioned/suggested the Monorail. If it is a viable project, let Amaechi use his present position to get "buyers" or ask FG to take it over.

Everything is not politics.

Politics / Re: Matthew Dike Dumps APC For PDP by kinharold(m): 9:24pm On Mar 29, 2018
Amaechi used his Money to build APC Rivers State and equally used his mouth to destroy it. Ogonis now know that their Governorship quest 2023 can only be through PDP. More of this is expected. Even the political leader/God father of Ogoni APC will soon cross over. These are his boys, his forerunners. It is simple, logical politicking. The dynamics of Rivers politics.
