Thank you Aunty. as for the phone thing; my Mummy is in support of her husband o. The two "Love Birds" (Mummy and Daddy) has decided that I must not "eat" their phone again.

Anyway, the good news now is that they have bought my own car for me. I mean a big, 4-legged car with Gbedu (sound system) that I can drive al-around the house; from the Balcony to the sitting-room and to the bedrooms. The best part of it is that there is no LASTMA. I will tell my Daddy to upload some pics.

Thanks my Aunty. @Bolded; this morning I took my Daddy's BB phone from where he left it and I was "eating" the thing but it wasnt going. Happy New Year to my Uncles and Aunties here on Nairaland. My name is Dominion aka Port Harcourt Fineboy. Some Uncles and Aunties call me Chinko, Chinese, Japan etc. I am 6 months old (@Dec 27, 2013). This holiday season has been a wonderful one for me. It is my first holiday and I recorded a lot of “firsts” and other milestone achievements. The Top 10 include:

1. I traveled to Lagos for the first time. They say it is still a prayer point for many persons. Mummy took me to Lagos on 15th Dec.
2. I had my first Airplane Flight experience @Dec 15 aboard an Arik Air Flight. (If you think that isn’t anything, ask my wonderful Daddy. He is 36 years and his first flight experience was on Dec, 23)
3. I started crawling moving on all fours on the Christmas week. I could only sit firmly when we left Port Harcourt on the 15th. Now I can crawl, I mean move around on my own. Don’t ask me how fast I can go.

4. I now have two strong white teeth that came out during this holiday season. They weren’t there when I left Port Harcourt.
5. I started eating adult food. Yes, adult food. This is wonderful. For this past 6 months, Mummy has been feeding me with ONLY her breast milk not even water. She calls it “Baby Friendly” and says that the Doctors recommended it. And that it is very good for me. I don’t doubt her. Now at 6 months, I can eat Rice, Indomie, Biscuits etc and still suck. Everybody was very happy. Daddy made a video of me eating goat meat and “dealing” with chicken bone; maybe he will Youtube it.
6. I met for the first time so many Uncles, Aunties, Cousins etc that I haven’t seen/met before including Uncle Andy that came in from Europe. I had only talked with them on phone. Don’t ask me what we use to discuss.

7. I celebrated my first Christmas ever. Mummy said I was still in her belly by this time last year.
8. I celebrated my 6 months birthday (Dec 27th). So wonderful. We all went to Shoprite in Victoria Island. It was a great and enjoyable experience.
9. My Daddy bought a car; a very big car, not the type I used to play with in the house.
10. I celebrated the arrival of a new year; crossing over from 2013 to 2014. I don’t know if I should say that I am now 2 years old. You know; I was born in 2013 and I am now in 2014, that is 2 years or what do you think.

The above are my Top Ten Achievements this season; I really wish and pray that the Mod do me a favour and crown it all for me by moving this to the FrontPage. It will be a first for my Daddy, who joined this forum in 2006.

My other observations in Lagos.
1. Vehicular movement is difficult in Lagos because of the heavy traffic. I use to leave Ogba with my Mummy and her Sister; my Aunt, around 5.00am to her office in Victoria Island. We leave the office at about 5.00pm and arrive home at about 9.00pm.
2. Everybody fears LASTMA. They say that “The fear of LASTMA is the beginning of driving in Lagos”. They didn’t allow me to stay at the front seat because of LASTMA. I noticed that everybody is instinctively conscious of using the Seat belt; even public bus (Danfo) drivers and their front seat passengers.
3. Like I said; I am just 6 months old and this is my first time in Lagos, but Daddy said that things have really improved since the last time he was in Lagos which was in 2010.

Before I leave, please, let me give a shout out to my Daddy for helping me type this out and for posting it here.
Sorry, I almost forgot; pictures or it didn’t happen, right?

Politics / Re: PDP Move To Declare Defecting Reps’ Seats Vacant by kinharold(m): 2:58pm On Dec 31, 2013
He said more lawmakers and PDP senators would soon defect to the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

All this fight is not for the interest of the common man. They are all working for self. All this politicians ranting, they pocket federal allocation allotted to them for development and turn back to scream FG is not doing anything what about there own part

Seriously, is APC the opposition/change that we are looking for? Who exactly are they opposing? APC claim to be a ship on the voyage of change yet its crew members are all PDP drop outs, the Head Engineers (Tinubu and Buhari) are well known to us and worst still, the Captain/Chief Navigator is OBJ, assisted by the Evil Genius himself.

OBJ as we all know is PDP personified; if he is now the chief navigator of APC's ship of change? then who is APC actually opposing. PDP or GEJ.
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Embraces APC - See Photo by kinharold(m): 1:40pm On Dec 22, 2013
In politics there's no permanent friend no permanent enemy but permanent interest...........and while keeping your friends close try and keep your enemies closer. hmmmm ASIWAJU...
My only problem with this is that it is all about their (both PDP and APC) own personal interest and not that of the people. Can you imagine Amaechi saying that his defection to APC is in the interest of Rivers people? We all know that it's all about his own personal political future.

My question about all this is; what exactly is the manifesto, change and ideology that APC stands for. In the US there is a clear difference between the two major parties (Republicans and Democrats). The same folks in PDP are stuffing up APC; so what's the difference.

BTW, hope they have plans to visit some persons in the south-East and South-South since it's all about Nigeria or dont we have "relevant" persons there.

2015; may God help us.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Replies Obasanjo, Says letter Is Self-Serving, Provocative by kinharold(m): 11:26am On Dec 12, 2013
I support GEJ but I have said before that GEJ as president may not provide the capital projects and infrastructural development needed in the South-South (Niger Delta) in particular but will provide an opportunity for individuals to take their portion of the national cake that as we know comes from the region. At the end we will have many stupendously rich individuals while the region and people still remain impoverished. That exactly is what is happening now.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Nelson Mandela Was On US Terrorist Watch-List Until 2008 by kinharold(m): 11:55pm On Dec 07, 2013
Former U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher also described Mandela’s ANC as a “typical terrorist organization” in 1987, refusing to impose sanctions on South Africa’s apartheid regime. President Ronald Reagan did as well.
Seriously, the West is purely hypocritical. They celebrate Mandela today; even the former Aperthied rulers are celebrating him today. Why then did they allow all those things to happen. Same thing they dd with slave trade.

May God help us Africans to tell our friends from our enemies.

currently doing my service year with a dream of becoming a banker but have no idea on how to go about it. i have never even met one before. by banker, i dont mean the custormer care, tellers, account officers or any other operational office, i am referring to the real bankers who deal with financial ratios and investment of the banks money.
My own advise is for you to first become "A Banker", whether customer service, front desk teller or anything. in less than six months there, you may not be asking this question again and your experience will teach you so much more.

Webmasters / Re: 5 Things We Hate About Microsoft Windows by kinharold(m): 10:47pm On Dec 01, 2013
My only problem with Microsoft and windows right now is the annoying features of windows 8.

*Why do i have to follow a much longer process/steps to shutdown my System, thought the process/steps was suppose to be faster/shorter and where is the Log Off option, I have to add the Hibernate option by myself from the Control panel

* Why does the setting, devices and share (dont know what they call it) panel keep popping up even when you are just typing of doing just other
stuff.

* I want my usual start menu back.

Please, how easily can I downgrade from Win 8 to Win 7. Wont I have issues.

Amaechi is making point here no one is applauding him. all dis questions deserve answers. abegi LIKE this to show we support amaechi , on dis matter only o
Amaechi has always been bold and factual on all issues and that is why many of us like him. It is just that boldness is now turning to confrontation while pride is becoming arrogance and he dont seem to know where to draw the line. To make matters worse is his gang up with the Northern Governors against GEJ (We all know it is not against PDP), these kind of puts him against his people. No matter how "bad" GEJ is, we prefer him to another Aboki. I pray for him that G7 and APC will not just use and dump him.

Lawyers dey hammer no bi small; win or lose, lawyer go chop. I am only concerned about my big uncle Amaechi, may they not just use him against his own people and dump him. "West or North", home is the best.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Ghana's Minister Sacked Over $1m Claim by kinharold(m): 3:17pm On Nov 09, 2013
Lesson for GEJ. No committe was set up to investigate. No House summons. Not even a query. This is the template for good leadership. When will our leaders learn?
If it was Naija/GEJ; Civil Rights Groups, APC and the other opposition parties, Human Right groups, Amnesty Int, Her Ethnic/state groups, etc including many of us here on Nairaland could have condemned the sack. As in: How will you just sack a minister based on "them say", how are you such she was the one and that it wasn't a set up. How can U just sack a minister based on a clip on Social media without investigation and a chance to fair hearing. The one-sentenced letter didnt even give any reason whatsoever.

Fighting a war (corruption) and observing the rules of engagement is the dilemma of leadership.
Car Talk / Re: 2,422 Killed And 11,961 Injured In Road Accidents From Jan - June – FRSC by kinharold(m): 9:36am On Nov 04, 2013
Please, let me ask; I pray I get a good answer cos I really don't understand it myself.

Accidental deaths are highly regrettable but sometimes i wonder why there is so much fuss about plane crash and deaths?, NASS will probe it, the presidency will be involved, Airline is banded, sometimes minister and some other high level office holders loose their job. Government gives out huge bailout funds for the aviation industry.

On the other hand, deaths in road accidents in a year is in Thousands. The above figure of 2,422 is just for 6 months not the whole year yet. That means we have about 400 deaths every month on road accidents and nothing much is being done about it. In about the same week of the Associated Airline crash that killed about 13 persons, the boat accidents on the River Niger killed scores of persons including 29 women but nothing was head about it after that day.

Hope it is not because air passengers/victims are most-likely of the rich class.

Like seriously, I dont understand this new wave of Catholic Rev. Fathers running one Ministry or the other and organizing crusades and vigils. We Igbos have very high regards for Rev Fathers but my worry now is that some jobbers are now already taking advantage of it to deceive people. My friend used to attend one called Prof in Lagos, near trade fair along Badagry expressway. He is on dreadlocks and claim to be a former Mass Servant, he disappear for many years and later appeared as a Rev, Prophet called Prof and doing mighty miracles.

The Reverend Father (God bless His Ministry) shouldn't have allowed the Governor to use his Altar as a political campaign podium in the first place. Was he expecting that all the worshipers belonged to APGA or does he himself belong to APGA?

Politics / National Dialogue: Who Should Attend? by kinharold(m): 10:12pm On Oct 28, 2013
The call for a Sovereign National Conference (SNC) has been on for a very long time, coming from different quarters. We are now at the verge of having a national conference/dialogue, whether sovereign or not is a different topic for a different thread. The issue now is; who & who is going to dialogue; who will be participating in or be represented @ the conference/dialogue? FG has a committee on that but let’s have your own advice.

APC as a political party has said it will not be part of the conference (even when nobody has invited the party or is there any sign that the party will be invited).

Who should participate in or be represented @ the conference/dialogue? Let’s have your own opinion.
Religion / Re: Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice? by kinharold(m): 9:51pm On Oct 20, 2013
This two verses answer your question. God accepts a man before he accepts his offering. Cain offered his fruit but not himself. When you do that, God will respect NEITHER. God is not remotely as impressed with what we give as much as he is with our life. And that was made obvious from God's rebuke in v7 ...If THOU doest well, shall thou not be accepted? So what was wrong with cain's offering? CAIN.

So to answer your second question, you make your offering more acceptable to God by first offering yourself. Your life is the true worth of every other thing you offer. The best offerings are the ones that come with the life of the offerer.
I am yet to see where it is written in the bible that Abel offered himself . pls which version of the Bible do u use?

No clear reason was given by God/the Bible but considering the whole passage, I think we can say that it was an ATTITUDE problem. In so many other passages of scripture we know that God is more concerned about the state of heart/altitude of the giver than the offering itself.

Rom 9:11-16 can explain more

can you answer this one question?

Why the heck are you protecting the identity of such a monster?

The best way you can help ladies(like you claim) and Nigeria as a whole is to release the identity of this bandit.

Till then, I'd just have to classify this story as an extract from Hints or Hearts magazine...

BTW is the OP a Male or a female? profile says male; story shows female. Well. let's wait for police and SSS to finish their work and give their report.

Politics / Re: New PDP 8-point Demand by kinharold(m): 10:46pm On Oct 02, 2013
NONSENSE! The only restructuring that makes sense is RESOURCE CONTROL. Let every state control its human and material resources and pay taxes to the centre. That will automatically remove all the attraction from the centre and the states will become the new centre of attraction. Corruption and struggle for power at the centre will automatically reduce. Healthy competition among states will return. State govts that cannot survive alone will automatically merge. In fact, most of the problems we see today will either disappear or becomes a local issue (restricted to within states). Any other talk apart from resource control is NONSENSE and playing to the gallery.

Our greatest challenge is that we "lie" to ourselves that we are one people or nation. Nigeria is one country made up of many uniquely different Nations. How can you tell a Man from Sokoto State that he is a brother to the man from Abia state. How is a Nupe man related with an Ijaw man? It can be on paper but it will be difficult in practice. The recognition of our differences will help us know how to live well and relate with each other. A core northern has a completely different civilization, education and culture from his southern counterpart. What a typical southerner takes as education and civilization is "HARAM'" to a core northerner. Western education and culture vs Eastern education and culture.

True Federalism is the answer. What we have now is a Unitary structure and government imposed by the military in 1966. Boko Haram, Sharia issues and Militancy wouldn't have come up to this magnitude in a true federalism.

May God help us by sending an Angel to wake us up.

got ur drift and that of Abagoro.
The bottom line here is she is on her way to Bayelsa. Because the east-west road which would have been the best route to pass was terrible, they probably decided to take another longer and better route.

I dont know the exact spot of the accident but we must understand that there are two Elele towns in that axis of rivers state. One is along Owerri/PH road, while the other (Elele Azumini) is along the East/West road linking Port Harcourt and Bayelsa.

Logically, since she was on her way to Bayelsa it must have been the east/west road. Details will soon come out...
