You may personally not be, but you can still support those who are, or even campaign against it here. My promotion of Eve's use of her senses is an example.

Below are some organisations that may benefit from your support. It does not need to be financial alone.

Do be aware that fgm is not the only way misogyny is perpetuated. There are many others ways in which women are oppressed that make feminism, the belief in social, economic, and political equality of the sexes, necessary.
Well, that's one way to end a discussion.

Certainly, there will always be Andrew Tates around. We live in a society, after all.

All men are not misogynists.

I wouldn't go as far as claiming most aren't, especially where Africans (and Americans) are concerned.
It depends, if you say, misogyny, in the sense that someone just wants to see women maltreated, versus, those who believe the order of things in the past should remain so. Plus, some traditions might be misogynistic from my point of view but, not from the point of view of the accused.
If I walk into Jigsawa state where the Fulani there still practice "The boy who can collect the most strokes of Koboko will marry my daughter" shouting misandrist, I think they'd chop off my head. Do we classify such traditions where both parties are willing participants as Misandrist or Misogyny? Am I in a position to go round changing people's traditions?

With the course being so popular, I figured, some brethren in Russia must have made it accessible for his people through piracy. And, I was right. I found the whole course, with transcript, worksheets/log on thepiratebay---a goated piracy website.

I don't want to attract the wrath of the bots, so you'll have to search for this on your own:

Visit www.Thepiratebaydotorg

search for phrase "Coursera | Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate [FCO]"

You know that feeling when your father goes to work and then you start doing something that he warned you not to do, and then some hours later you hear the sound of his car horn in front of the house gate?

You begin to run like a mad man/woman trying to hide all the evidence of the atrocities you committed. You turn on "good boy mode" immediately hoping that your father ignores you when it's time for your punishment grin. Well, I wouldn't expect the DEMONcrats to know that feeling because a lot of them don't even know who their fathers are. Those who know their fathers aren't in talking terms with them. They actually hate their fathers.

I'm so glad that most Americans made the right choice, not just for themselves but for the rest of the world as well. 😊
Folks here say "Africans hate Barack Obama." But, Obama is to blame for that. Nigeria was under siege during the Boko Haram era, and this man was talking to us about Gay rights. We needed weapons and High tech to tackle the insurgence, and he later withdrew his support. He went on to shake hands with Buhari, endorsing Buhari.... hahah. That's why Nigerians, like myself, fell off the democrat train. I recall, back in Uni, we used to mimic his voice saying, how we'd love to be able to captivate people like he does. Too bad.

It's infuriating coming to find that democrats were aware of these problems and are only just pointing them out after losing woefully. They knew Kamala's campaign didn't align with the goals of the Americans but kept on yapping about abortion, women rights, LGBTQ, and what-not.

She too, made ridiculous campaign policies like price control and unrealized capital gain taxes.

I saw a meme today that made me laugh. It read something like;

"A group of rich people that the people are poor because another group of rich people are hoarding wealth."

That was how I felt about the whole, "The rich should pay their fair share." If Oprah wanted to pay her fair share, she'd be doing so willingly, and not waiting to be forced to do so. Like? The hypocrisy. What's worse, they happen to fool intellectuals. grin grin grin grin grin

I hate the way Africans tend to make generalized claims when speaking of issues concerning Africans. Even in Nigeria, there are well over 250 ethnic groups/cultures that are so very different from the one described by the woman in the video. undecided
That's true, but you cannot deny that across the continent, the sub-Saharan part of it at least, were women-loving. In fact, historians trace the concept of misogyny to Rome and Greece. Christianity spread through these people, so it's no wonder Christianity and Islam are very anti-women.

Some of these misogynistic takes were non-existent to me, until I found the internet and Twitter, of course. I've never been in a setting, contributed, or heard where boys discussed that women were in any way lesser than men.

Women aren't intelligent? da fvck? I got my ass handed to me by women in primary, JSS, SSS, and University. Hell, I even served under a girl as assistant class rep in Jss1. Back then, the person with the most A's automatically was handed the Class rep title. Maybe just my experience.

I never walked through any phase of life with any idea that I was superior to any woman. Of course, there are the men are the providers and women the homemakers. To me, it looked, okay division of labor. I know for sure that African women get a lot of help from their children in that regard. Compared to western women whose kids can decide to skip domestic chores if they feel like it.

So, coming on the internet to find all these hot takes of how women were enslaved by men from time immemorial seemed excessive. Maybe, I just have a different world view of things.

That said, I became aware of social injustices against women when I read some Islamic handout out of curiosity (I was having existential crisis at this point) discussing how Prophet Mohammed "uplifted" Arab women.

Genital mutilation was a thing. Although, I don't understand why same traditions, for men and women, are given different nomenclature. Because, I for sure know, male circumcision didn't happen for health benefits in men. Although, it's a whole arena of speculation. Anyway, my point is, if both genders had their genitals mutilated on grounds of traditional practices, what's the women are hated angle coming from? I've seen how some traditions circumcised men and It's freaking scary!

To the woman's defense, she did narrate from the perspective of her culture. This is true for cultures i'm associated with; Yoruba and Asante. I don't fancy separating the word "African" from representing a group of people who are, by all means, African. When African Americans talk about life in America, they don't say, "Oh, it's not America, it's just Atlanta."

The Americans who have the jobs will be better for it. They will have an income to pay for it.

Its the same as living in Lagos vs Living in Taraba. Lagos is expensive but you can make money to pay for the life, Taraba is cheap but you can not make money

Thats why more people prefer to live in Lagos than in Taraba
Buhari tried that with Rice, look how it turned out? Unless, it's specifically to punish China, I mean, there must have been a reason Biden didn't lift Trump's tariffs on China, otherwise, economist have said they see no benefit. If cheaper alternatives will be imported from elsewhere, fine. But, China no get replacement. We don't really know whether the tariffs will be on all goods, or on specific goods like EU does with EV electronics.
Besides, I think the demos, in their moral superiority, don't consider the humanitarian crisis that happens for cheaper goods to be provided to them. In the grand scheme of things, the demos aren't any better. But, humans are selfish, and there's no bad thing about that.

I hear you about the micro utterance.

I would not characterize all women like that, this is about this particular person.
Though, I do have a larger problem with the transactional nature of relationships in Nigeria, Lagos esp and this ties into that.

Honestly, she's stunning and so gets a lot of attention from everyone (even women). So not only about men.
And so I think, she's used to and very comfortable getting her way.
I won't characterize her as manipulative as everyone has their own agency, others may.
But from her stories and what I've seen it is generally one way. And quite baffling to me.
If you suggest you want something and someone gives it to you, eh.

Our relationship is a bit different as I don't have patience for all that.
And we have had plenty of discussions about the "onewayness" of her "interactions".

So, I was jabbing Raum as he would probably throw all his money at her so she could smile. And she would smile so that raum could throw all his money at her.

The problem is that I'm a Western left of center guy with a lot interactions with Nigerian people who live in Nigeria.
And these interactions, because where Nigeria is, remind me, unfortunately that it is sometimes about gender.
And the wild thing, to my dismay, it's generally woman who remind me.
You're simply human, my man. You can't get everything right.

This is a republican propaganda talking point.
Children undergoing gender reassignment surgery is absolutely extremely rare if ever. The most kids who undergo anything related to gender surgery are straight boys who have unmanly breast tissue and want it removed so they can be more manly. So if anything it’s straight boys doing this and even then it’s still rare. You people don’t even live in America to be saying all the ish you’re saying. And you refuse to read actual statistics and studies done on this. Just picking up republicans propaganda and running with it.

Teachers FOR A FACT will get fired if they open their mouths to mention to a child that they are a different person trapped in a different body. Even if a child mentions this to a teacher, that teacher will direct them to school counseling.

I’ve lived in different states and so I’ve experienced different school systems. Even progressive California will not tolerate any teacher overstepping their scope to start telling children what to do with their bodies.

What makes it so easy to believe these nonsensical lies?
You love this man but I promise you he doesn’t think you deserve any respect as a woman. It’s unfortunate.

2008 recession was enough to move America from Conservative to Democrat. PoliticsRe: Algerian Boxer Imane Khelif Is A Biological Man by kkins25(m): 1:09am On Nov 09, 2024
Botragelad:
Lol. Yeah I'm the one promoting it.
You're absolutely right. Y chromosomes are typically linked to male development, but there are exceptions, aren't there? I mean, XYY individuals, for instance, have an extra Y chromosome, yet may not show typical male characteristics, if you catch my drift.
All y chromosomes are linked to male development. Disorders are disorders, and not alternate members of sex. A table should have four legs, if it has 3, it's a broken table.

And what about XXYY or XY females, eh? Don't they exist as well? Look at it this way, the transmission of Y chromosomes isn't as direcy as you seem to think. Okay, let's agree they're typically passed from father to son, but are there no cases of chromosomal crossover, where genetic material is swapped between X and Y chromosomes? Yes, there are. So you are wrong on that one.
That's why we classify this as medical conditions. Again, a broken table.

Don't forget mitochondrial DNA, which is passed from mother to child. Doesn't that play a role in determining one's biological sex, then?

Please, do stop spreading nonsense. DNA testing uses a multitude of genetic markers, autosomal and mitochondrial DNA, to determine paternity? Right or wrong?
The Y chromosome is just one piece of the puzzle.
I had to refresh my memory. In humans and animals, mitochondrial DNA plays no role in sex determination. I remember my mitosis and meiosis. So, no, Y as determinant for male sex, is the only part of the puzzle.

What's funny is where you said that Khelif's possession of both X and Y chromosomes 'completely eliminates' their claim to being a woman. Well, biology says gender can't be reduced to just chromosomal analysis, can it? Is that really so hard to grasp?[/quote]Gender, was invented in the 90s. Let's stick to sex. In 99.9% of birth cases, gender and sex, is reduced to chromosomal analysis.
