Make man hustle, so his daughters won't be dehumanize by Arab men. 😭😭😭..

Imagine doing hook up to sustain the whole family. The psychological pressure, having to endure BS for sake of family, at the same time knowing your family may not even appreciate your efforts or even look down on you if they become aware of your job.

Doing all that so other people can live better lives would be daunting.. No wonder they end up taking drugs and wasting away.. Not an easy job at all..
😭😭😭

She will then raise man, who'd pick up misogynist ideas from his sorounding, and belittle the sacrifices women like his mother make.. The easiest way to collect money from rich people is to sell sex. In other words wealth re-distrubution..

Economic situation is the basis for low birth rates across the developed world and even the developing world. Two factors are involved in low fertility rates;

- The wealthier a country, the low its birth rates
- The more educated women of a country are and regardless of its economy or culture, the lower its fertility rates. E.g. Iran. Apparently, women don't fancy birthing lots of children. Combine that with them entering the workforce, having agency for themselves, more activities to indulge in other than child-rearing, Ndi ifenemenisi etc.

The situation in Korea is terrible, as I have stated, me sef dey pity them. Theirs can be summed up with economic reasons (high cost of education, especially from young age, high cost of housing), social (a high pressure cook society, stiff competition for resources, high beauty standards, women espousing feminist ideals, men revolting), cultural clashes (Korea has the highest percentage of Christians in East Asia with the form being the Western version, so citizens easily adopt western ideals coupled with traditional Confucian beliefs etc). However, even adopting strict Confucian beliefs does not result in high fertility rates. China and North Korea are good examples.

The koko be say, to born and raise children for this century no too dey beneficial to both genders.

That's true. May Capitalism not be the end of us all.

Interesting times. Let's see where that takes everyone to. I go just dey observe. Currently, it is South Korea, a wealthy nation. But I want to see how it unfolds in a poorer country. cheesy

Are you sure it's not economic situation, rather than relationship dynamics, responsible for the slow birth rate in SK? From what I've seen, both men and women are avoiding children like the plague.

Although, that isn't to say there isn't such a thing as the 4B movement. Even then, those folks are less than the number of homosexuals in the country..

Solo Levelling ....... 5.5/10

If I had to describe this show in a single phrase, it is "power fantasy and nothing else".

The show doesn't hide what it is. It just focuses on a character who goes from being the weakest Hunter to being the strongest Hunter. Nothing else in-between matters.

Character writing is non-existent. You could as well delete all the other characters from the show and almost nothing will change.
Every other character apart from the MC is as basic as they come...
They are just stereotypes with no personality...
Any level of importance they have is only for the MC's benefit...
Thus every other character suffers as a result.

Worldbuilding is also quite disappointing. I'm not a fan of the R P G world elements...but it can be done right for instance F r i e r e n
In this show's case, even the few aspects of the world that could be somewhat interesting is given so little screentime since the entire story must always revolve around the MC.
12 episodes and yet they couldn't even do anything with the political elements introduced within the show...

Story?...there is no story....
monsters of the week
Every episode is the same. MC takes video game type quests and fights in dungeons...survives and gain better abilities....rinse and repeat...

Fights....
This is only somewhat good thing about it...the fight scenes are good...however since they lack any emotional attachment and it's mostly just monsters the MC keeps fighting, there is no impact.
It's just like watching someone kill AI monsters in a video game for hours....
It gets boring really fast...

Just as I compared how it handled it's R P G world to F r i e r e n, I'll also compare how it handles combat to Jujutsu Kaisen.

Jujutsu Kaisen excels because it's story and character writing are conveyed through it's fights. Characters learn through fights, characters grow through fights. The plot moves forward through fights...
That way each fight is actually impactful to the story...

In Solo Levelling it is quite the opposite. It is mostly just fights with random monsters with reward of levelling up.
The few moments of character growth in fighting revolve only around the MC since every other character in the show might as well not be called characters...

Another difference with JJK is that JJK has a well thought out power system.
In Solo Levelling, it's all about the MC levelling up and unlocking random skills to use against the next monsters of the week he fights.

To round up, I didn't expect much story from the show...but I was still disappointed.
The few moments or bits of the world that actually piqued my interest were quickly sidelined in 30 seconds conversations between side characters...all in favour of watching the MC fight the next random monster in the next random dungeon

Truly one of the anime of all time to be quickly forgotten until the next season airs and people watch for fight scenes again

This is what we want to be seeing here..

I completely agree with this... The graphics are good, fight scenes amazing, but story line sucks. It's not immersive at all...

I am wachting RE:Zero right now...

I don’t think you actually read through all her comments, keep sentiments aside and look at this thing objectively. She didn’t stop at saying it is sugary but went on to say it is killing people! Where is her proof? The problem is her not being charged to court cos the law mandates that she should be charged to court within 48 hours. Learn to leave emotions aside when looking at issues. I was like you supporting all her actions until I read through all her comments. I wish I could post them here but you have already taken sides already

It's you who should learn to follow due protocols and keep that Nigerian vindictive behaviour aside. She wasn’t unlawfully arrested but you can say that she has been unlawfully detained if and only if they haven’t charged her to court. international news outlets don’t care about what happens in your country, its your own business and not theirs. it’s a Nigerian that works there that decided to bring it up

Are you kidding? It was not a criminal case, hence, the police had no business arresting her in the first place. In fact, why the police got involved immediately does more than just paint the CEO of Erisco foods in bad light, but exposes us to the cruelties that he is capable of.

To worsen the issue, the police illegally detained her for months---months. Why? If you do not know your own human right, then you shouldn't impose your ignorance on others. It could be that you're also into the food business, like maureen, who's also siding with Erisco incase it's her turn one day. So that she can bully the unhappy customer and then give testimony in church the next day.

Again, I ask, where was the cyber crime committed? Haven't you, instigated people around you to choose one product over the order, in your whole life? Were you committing any crime, then?

You haven't said, "oh, android better pass iPhone" or "iphone better pass andriod" or "andriod battery no dey last like iPhone" or "chinese products no good" ?

Call yourself a hypocrite and tell me you haven't criticized a product before.

okay, let Erisco food go and sue all the people that dropped 1star review online na.....mtcheeewww...

Mind you, the lady first commented that the product is sugary. Nothing wrong here. perception of taste is subjective, and that point can be argued in court to her defense. Does Erisco add sugar to the product, yes or no?

Mind you tomatoe paste is less tomatoe and more fibre---carbonhydrate, which is sugar. Do and do your home work, madam.

Which one is unlawfully arrest, she was arrested for criminal defamation and cyber bullying, and not charged for a tortious act. It’s either she is granted administrative bail or granted court bail. Administrative bail is strictly the Police that has powers to do so. They might decide to give difficult conditions so it’s left for the suspect to negotiate his/her way out. Let’s keep emotions aside, she had the chance to retract her statement but she refused cos some people were ‘gingering’ her. The people pushing her have left her to face her music. Her lawyer should just push for her matter to be charged to court so that he/she can secure bail for her

Arrested? why? Has the court proved her guilty? She was unlawfully arrested, my dear. Know your rights! why do you think an International news outlet has picked up the case? What's the cybercrime committed?

This is a ridiculous take. Every product manufacturer faces these kinds of accusations. There've been claims that Apple device kill people because it can cause cancer, steal data, and so on.

It's left for the manufacturer to dispel the accusations by providing credible evidence that dispels such claims. Or, drag the individual who made the accusations to court where they will be charged to pay the manufacturer hefty compensations for irresponsible claims. Finish!

What Erico did was hire police thugs to pana-beat Chioma even though all they had to do was take her to court. They also had the capacity to sue Chioma, but instead, acted like a drug dealer--- boycotting the rule of law.

This is nothing simple other than the typical rich man bullying a poor man. And anyone who thinks Chioma deserves what she is getting is no different than the scums in politics y'all rant about daily.

Sorry for your loss bro!

I was in same situation 2 years ago.

See bro, I don't see any reason why a man will date a girl for more than one year with the intention of getting to know her not to talk of dating a woman for over 3 years.

A month is enough to know a marriageable girl, six months at least.

The truth is that you lost that girl six months into your relationship with her.
Are you saying it was because he waited for too long that she gave up and married someone else?

Family / Re: Will I Regret Not Having Children by kkins25(m): 1:36pm On Mar 28
Some people are quite fulfilled not bearing children. Same with people who do.

From an evolutionary perspective, it's self-defeating to acquire all those resources, and mental growth, and not pass those "good" genes down to children and society.

Although, society could benefit from the self-curtailing reproduction rate and the labour such women contribute to the growth of society. So, I guess, it's a win for society and women involved since they get to live a more fulfilling life(objectively and subjectively).

Some people choose not to have kids because they've wrongly imbibed the experiences of other people into their own lives. Even though bad things happen less frequently than good things, they fixate themselves on the bad things. It's like swearing not to take flights because you watch on television that a plane crashed.

The thing is, studies show that women/men who choose not to have children end up caring for "other" people. Many seem to get involved with childcare services or other forms of nurturing, such as supporting other women/men. Plus, they put more resources into such endeavours than even women who have children. Fascinating, isn't it?

The burden of responsibility isn't entirely lifted by not having children. It's the burden of being tied to a certain location with limited independence due to kids or dedication to a spouse, that single women/men seek to avoid. In order words, the freedom to do--when they choose and how they choose. Another win at the individual level.

I didn't get any sense of her being afraid of her family at all. And Op insisted that not only did she abort their baby, but she went back to marry the guy she dated at least six years prior. That seems more like a gal who got tired of dragging, maybe even family drama and decided to take her bets elsewhere. We don't know since this is OP telling his side of the story. undecided

2. There is a stigma against marrying without consent, but none against doing everything married people do anyways outside of marriage. Abegi! I don't take folks who believe such things seriously anyway. grin

Given all he's said, the OP's story makes sense to me.
1) He had already approached the family for marriage. And they appeared to welcome him.
2) by his actions, he had made it known to her that they were to settle down. All that was left was for the girl to play her part, which she didn't. They dragged out the date to make the whole ordeal formal.
3) The girl is the one who denied the OP access to her parents, knowing that they disapproved of the inter-tribal marriage.
4) If the girl hadn't succumbed to pressure, she'd have kept the baby, which would have forced the parents' hands, just like my mom did in my situation.
5) She hid the fact that her parents weren't okay with the marriage, yet continued to be intimate with him while rekindling old flames with another lover.
6) I understand the lady and her action, but being pretentious to that extent trumps whatever dragging she had to endure from the OP.
7) Unfortunately for the old lover, he was the second choice....ehyaaa....

Without a doubt, the real dubious person here is no other than the girl. What we have here is a girl without the stomach-to-face stigma and a dubious individual who continued to lead the Op on knowing she wasn't going to marry him. She even made him build a baby-bed..

I think OP dodged a bullet because if things go south, she'll blame her woes on all of him. And the marriage would be a living hell.
