RomanceWhat Else Can I Do To Put My Girl's Mind At Peace? by klassyguy(op): 11:23pm On Aug 16, 2009
I'm sort of getting fed-up and edgy about telling my babe the same thing all the time. I left naija early this year for my master's and b4 i left, i had proposed and given her my ring. we even brought our parents to meet informally. i've been here for a couple of months and i call her almost everyday.

Recently, she keeps on bringing up the issue on when will we get married, and i keep on telling her that she shld relax, that as a man one shld be able to provide well for his wife b4 the kids start coming along, and that giving the situation of things, we cannot get married until wen i finish skool and get a good job. besides, i'll have to work for a few months to have some money in order to be able to get my own place, furnish it a bit, and even for the wedding itself(even if my parents are going to give us money for the wedding, at least as a man i shld also have some money as well for the whole thing).

This has been what i've been telling her anytime she brings the subject up. As i am now, i won't be finishing skool until much later next year, and hopefully if i get a job wen i go back home, we shld be able to get married by the first half of 2011. But she called me earlier today, telling me she was so moody, that we had planned that by 2010 we'll be married, etc, etc. i told her that plans definitely change, that she herself knows that is no longer possible considering the state of affairs now, and that i don't want to bring her into my house in order for her to suffer, that she shld chill out on this wedding thing. besides i had told her from day 1 that i was going to go for my masters at some point, and that would she be willing to wait? at least i've assurred her that she's the one i want to marry, her parents have given us their blessings, and they are all willing to wait till i get back from my studies. i almost started yelling at her today cos i don't know what else to tell her. i had even told her that i'll be coming home during the summer break next year, and we can then do a more proper introduction. this thing is really getting on my nerves cos i'm really fed up of telling her the same thing over and over again.
RomanceRe: How Do U Feel(ladies And Men Please) When Ur Partner Always Brings Up Marriage Related Talks While J by klassyguy(m): 7:20pm On Jul 28, 2009
Twas one of those things that made me decide to end my last relationship with my ex, starting to mention marriage while i was still in part 3. to couple the whole thing, she was just a few months younger than i was. i had so much to achieve b4 thinking of marriage, and calculating the time, thos e would have taken me not less than 6-7 years(coupled with the fact that ASUU was on strike at that time). i just asked her that was she willing to wait that long, she started blahing. . . .anyways she's in the past now.

On another note, it is one of the things that annoy me in some ladies. once they are into a r/ship, some of them don't even wait for the r/ship to mature first b4 starting to talk about marriage. tis like it's hotwired into their brains.

lord krato:
@klassyguy,wel i get wat u mean but wat about being offered sh*#t,come on,no one likes 2 be tot as a maga @ first.to me it insults ma degree from "school of hard knocks"
If she offers shit, u show her who's the boss!!! show her who's got the drawers on!!! simple as that. Ladies tend to respect a guy who can control them, who treats them with an iron fist without forgetting to luv them too.  if u show a girl u're the man in the relationship, dem no born am well make she try dump u. but being the man doesn't mean u shld turn her into a punching bag oh!!! like yoruba's say, "ti a ba fi owo osi ba omo wi, a ma fi owo otun faa mora"(if u use ur left hand to discipline a child, u must also use the right hand to pet and pamper him/her). Owo lile die, owo riro die(be hard a bit, and soft a bit). dats part of wat has been keeping my babe nd i going till date. If u give the lady the impression u are a weakling, she'll lose her respect for u and start treating u like the maga everyone has been saying.
RomanceRe: Simple Or Flashy Wedding? by klassyguy(m): 6:32pm On Jul 05, 2009
Nothing too elaborate. just simple enough so that everyone gets food to eat, gets a taste of the cake, a gift or two, and leave for home happy. I dnt need a wedding that everyone in the whole world will hear about.

Having dated many Naija girls in Naija, and Naija girls in the UK & USA, it is quite clear that in Naija, the bar for morals are set very very low. I met so many girls in Naija termed as "Good" girls, but "good" was the last thing u would assciate with them.
I soon realised that a "good" girl in Naija is different from a "good" girl anywhere else.
The reason is Naija guys in Naija hold the women to less extracting and demanding standards, and are more willing to forgive them of their indiscretions than Naija guys in the US/UK. But when the same girls leave Naija, they have to up the game, b'cos the rules are not the same, and the guys in US/UK would not tolerate such nonsense.
Not all naija guys are like dat. There are so many naija guys i know who don't take shit from their gfs. its how u set the tone of the whole thing that matters.
And my 6th sense is telling me that this issue is somewhat related to sex.

If u date decent (not "nigerian standard" decent) well brought up girls with good value and morals, you would not have this problem.
\could u pls explain the highlighted a bit clearer? what is the nigerian standard decency?
AutosN400,000 Brand New Cars Coming To Nigeria by klassyguy(op): 2:37pm On Jul 04, 2009
N400,000 Brand New Cars Coming

NIGERIANS, from early next year, may be able to buy a brand new car for just N400,000.

Indication to this emerged on Friday as it was gathered that India’s largest vehicle manufacturers, Tata, is planning to introduce ultra-cheap car, Nano, into the Nigerian market.

According to reports, the company will, from 2010, introduce the Nano brand along with its Indica Vista hatchback and Sumo Grande models in to the African market with Nigeria expected to be its first port of call.

It said the beautiful car would cost between N375,480 and N400,000 when it is launched in Nigeria in 2010.

According to its website, Tata Nano is the world’s most affordable car in the market. It has an engine of 32 LP, a tank of 624cc, a two-cylinder engine placed at the rear of the vehicle.

It also said the main body of the car is steel while the bumpers are plastic. It weighs 1,322 pounds and has space for four passengers.

However, it could not be ascertained whether the vehicle would be assembled in Nigeria or imported directly from India, but sources said the car and other brands would also be sold in South Africa and Senegal, but that Nigeria would be the first port of call of the car.

Nick one of her finest friends and be happy! You will enjoy the anger in her demeanor as much as she has been enjoying fiddling with your mind.
That's the sad mistake young ladies out there make. Once u refuse to give them the attention anymore, and they see u with another lady, they get angry. God help the new lady if she's her friend. She'll be labelled a boyfriend snatcher(as if u were her boyfriend initially).
