SGANIVA: Please I need an advise ,I want dissolve my four months old marriage .
If you follow my post on nairaland you will see where I posted about looking for a wife some months ago ,yes someone later introduced me to this girl who's from anambra state dunukofia local government . I guess she's beautiful and possess some of the qualities I wanted from my own view , the person that introduced me to this lady already told her family all about me and my business . so no need of wasting time , we went to her place for the traditional rite with my people after three weeks of knowing her . Everything was successful after I have spent 800k on traditional rite , there elders insist I must do traditional marriage for the community (igba nkwu ) which my people argue but to no Vail ,well the later release my wife to me . To God be the glory my wife became pregnant the second month ,there family started mounting pleasure on me again for the igba nkwu (traditional marriage ) and wedding , well this time my business was having a major shake up because is December already, we need to settle out with partners including financial institutions Brother please calm down. Please note that every Igbo home takes marriage very serious even if their daughter is wayward All those advicing you to divorce your pregnant woman Don't mean well att all. You see eh! I don't want to call it pride from the side of the parents but it's like a norm in most Igbo communities. Believe me, your wife and her parents loves you but they are acting in such manner because they are scared you might dump their daughter tomorrow, so a traditional marriage at least would have saved you from most of this bashing. Try as much as you can to initiate at least the traditional Marriage an see how everyone would be happy. Please don't leave the girl as suggested by some bachelor's here |

OChimex: It’s not detailing my dear. I have been in the US at least for years now, actually in a most white populated neighborhood, but trust me, I haven’t for once felt racism. In fact, all I have known is love and respect. White still dey open door for me at shopping malls/restrooms, always yield for me to pass at stop signs, and nobody has cursed or shouted at me when driving on the road, unlike when I was in Nigeria. Racism is so political, like the way Hausa will always want to be the only one rulling Nigeria, but aside that, it’s not that common on the streets nowadays.
Trust me black people are living better lives and not maltreated.
In fact, if you be cute black boy here, na so whites babes go dey rush you. Lol Better don't lose guard there otherwise they will let you know who you are.
On the other hand, free puna is very dangerous |

Tonim: Would you have your children tutored in a language they understand (e.g. hausa, igbo, yoruba efik, kanuri) other than English? It's a thing of choice, anyone/tribes/person should be allowed to make choices and since they have chosen theirs it should be respected. Mind you it wouldn't make you unrecognizable in the world today rather it makes you unique. The Hausa man are responsible for the grains/groundnut/fresh tomatoes and foods you consume today, and likewise the bedrock of ancient civilizations leading today, all these they did without speaking English. You see oyinbo consuming tomatoes today on tv, do you think such fruit is from Europe? Please respect the Hausa man today and watch how your country grows in food supply. |

Ulunne777: What are you even saying? How will they be able to communicate with their fellow countrymen. What's the Lingua franca for?Are they blockheads that they can't absorb another language easier for them.Is Waec ,Neck,Jamb written in Hausa? Can't you see the reason for their perpetual failure yr in yr out? My kids under 10 read, speak and write Igbo and still converse flawlessly in English and Lil of French.Igbo only at home.
Stop limiting your ppl with this mentality. If you were a good student of history you will realize that The Hausa man contributed over 50% to the early civilizations leading to what we have in today's world (more than the British sef). Early technological advancement of today's world evolved from the Hausa people. No one should be mocked for not embracing English language. Rather one should be encouraged to so as to communicate effectively in today's world. |

Issybilla: Hi To those that have probably been there or have an idea about it. How do you handle sexual urges especially if your partner is not available.
It happens that hubby has been away for quite some time, eight month precisely and he isn’t coming back any moment.
These days has just been messy for me as I am always Hot and wet as fhhuckk, whenever I get up from bed, my pant is always soaked. I have tried to suppress the pressure to touch myself or use objects but it seems the pressure is overcoming me, damn I hardly even concentrate on any other thing, my mind is just fhhhuccked up right now, all my thoughts are bordered on dirty wild sex almost all day.
Are there therapists or some kinda experts one can talk to, I really fear for myself. Your hubby travelled probably to go and make more money for the family and the only thing you can think of is hotsex? |

If you were born into a Hausa or Igbo family and you are not learned, you'll still not be able to read or write in Igbo or Hausa language. Don't you think if I'm been taught in school in Hausa as my native dialect my retentive capabilities would be 99.99% compared to when taught in English? |

Imagine implementing ligua Franca in a country with indigenous tribes, it's not like these tribes migrated from somewhere else, they are indigenous to there land. Don't you think it's a crime? |

lilfresh96: It's common here in the North
And even those that know how to speak English don't want to because they are shy or Alfred of being judged by their colleagues. It's so discouraging.
In the North Hausa language is considered as the lingua Franca. And it is degrading educational system
But you will find them to be very intelligent if you speak their language and reason with them It's not degrading our educational system sir! I can bet that if the textbooks in our various universities were translated in our dialect and we were also taught in our various dialect, you would have understood better and implement ideas better too. This is what you find all over the world, books are written in indigenous languages. But I noticed that in Nigeria and Africa the only book that was translated for us into our various dialect is the Bible. That was were I got to understand that we actually mess up as a group of people and we were being punished for that. |

Angelfrost: Sir, you do realize you haven't answered any of my questions?!!
While English proficiency shouldn't be a total measure of learning and education, shouldn't an educated person have a good grasp of his nation's main language of communication across diverse ethnic groups?!! The only reason why English was adopted in Nigeria is because of our colonial history. English is not the primary language in Nigeria. It is secondary and it was adopted because over 300 tribes were fraudulently merged to form Nigeria. Personally I would prefer if I was taught at school in my language and I get to decide whether to learn English or not. You listen to zelensky,Putin and Macron on CNN, do they speak English? Aren't they doing better than Nigeria? |

Rather, the colonialists that colonised the various countries of African imposed their official languages on the various countries. Hence, you see Mali and Ivory coast speaking french, Angola speaking Portuguese etc. We are saying the same thing |

ppogba: Have you forgotten that English is the official language in Nigeria? Perhaps, govt agencies and ministries should adopt arabic when interviewing candidates or maybe WAEC and JAMB should translate all subjects to local languages? What I'm saying is that it shouldn't be used as a yardstick for intelligence, most indigenous languages in Nigeria has been in existence for centuries before English was birthed. |

Angelfrost: Okay.... So, what should be the common language of communication across the nation?!! Arabic?!!
If a Chinese, Belgian, and French can commit to learning basic English to ease communication at their foreign jobs, why should that be difficult for a person schooling in his birth nation where that language is the main Lingua franca?! My dear English was imposed on us because Africans were taken as slaves. Haven't you noticed that the only countries who's leaders speaks English are those from USA Canada and British ? |

It’s an open secret that the north is seriously dragging Nigeria behind in everything. If you have lived in the north before you will understand why am talking about. You might not be correct, for me I think they are more patriotic to their indigenous languages. You see on TV where Ukrainians can even speak little English, or is the problem perculiar to Africans alone? Some European countries won't give you job without speaking their language. |
