A king without a “ Staff Of Office “, is that one a king? It is no longer news that Oba Of Lagos, HRM, Rilwan Akinolu lost his “ Opa Ase “, “Staff Of Office” to hoodlums who invaded his palace some days ago. Oba Akinolu‘s palace was actually part of the site of destruction hoodlums who were looting in the name of #EndSARS protest targeted. A video of the hoodlums taking away the staff of office with real sense of fulfillment emerged online and it is confirmed that Oba Of Lagos no longer has a “Staff Of Office”. What Does It Mean For The King To Lose His Staff Of Office? The “ Opa Ase ” in literally means, “ Staff Of Authority “. Without it, the king has no authority over anything in the kingdom. In Yoruba Land, a king without a “Staff Of Office” can be likened to a toothless bull dog. The funny thing is, he can only be addressed as King when he has the Staff Of Authority, without it, his title is Mr or maybe Chief if he has money. Without the Staff Of Office, things will not go well in the Palace as well as in the town at large. In fact, some elders said if it was the olden days before politics eat deep into traditional practice, the King will be dethroned in 7days. What The Royal Family Are Doing To Get The Staff Of Office Back The State Governor imposed curfew in the state as a result of looting and other violence going on. To a large extent, things are going back to normal and the Oba Of Lagos needs to do something to get his Staff Of Authority back. What the Royal Family has done so far is to release series of sacred threat of what will happen if the guys with the Staff don’t return it. Just recently, a video of the King’s native doctors laying heavy curses on anyone with the staff of office emerged online. |

Dear residents, Trust you’re gradually coming out of the trauma caused by recent unrest nationwide? Please let’s have at the back of our minds that malls, shops, boutiques, etc burgled during the crises and valuables taken away. No doubts that some of those items such as consumables, phones, clothes, shoes, jewelry, and all wart nuts will soon enter the streets and markets. Let’s, therefore, be alert and warn our kids, wards, and domestic staff never to purchase anything from a source they’re not sure of nor fall for the guise of “hold this thing for me or lend me some money take this as collateral” as this may be detrimental to them and our reputation as well. Items bought should have a known address and receipts. Except for regular foodstuffs gotten from the market. Be careful! The consequence is more eminent than the advantage. The police will be more brutal to handle any criminal case after the whole nation has protested against them. |

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is A Disgrace To The Biafra Struggle – A Coward,Violence & Hate Instigator Did you know that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB instructed his followers not to destroy private owned businesses and properties, but should burn down any government properties in all Eastern and Western states in Nigeria as part of the #EndSARS Protest? Such instruction is unhealthy, destructive and not what we need at this time as a people. Not just that, he further more ordered them to kill any police or military personnel that stood on their way. That it will be counted as “Self Defense” according to him. And it’s happening already. Eastern and some southern part of the country, are on fire as we speak. Police, soldiers and civilians are being hacked and shot to death. Fellow struggling citizen’s properties are being looted and damaged. Why would a leader give such barbaric order. Meanwhile he’s in the UK living large while his followers are being killed like Church rats here in Nigeria. Anyways, I will get to that shortly. He ordered them to destroy government properties. How would they (IPOB Members) identify a private owned businesses, properties and that of the FG? Of course they can’t, hence the ongoing looting and mass destruction of fellow Biafrans properties in South East right now. Why I called him a Hate Instigator. Nnamdi Kanu fled the country, got his parents killed by his actions, ran to a land filled with milk and honey then start instigating war, violence amongst people who blindly believe in his movement. They say he is living to fight another day but Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison to gain South Africa freedom. If truly he holds the movement so dear to his heart, let him come home and face the government and not stay behind keypads to cause chaos and malice. Mandela stayed in south Africa, was imprisoned he didnt run to Nearby Zambia or even Nigerian. What of kwame Nkrumah he fought for Ghanians in the Ghana soil, not in a foreign land. How about King Haile Selassie, emperor of Ethiopia he fought for Ethiopians in his country home, not outside. Even Moses had to go to Egypt for the Freedom of the Israelites, Once freedom fighters leave their native soil, which they are fighting for, the struggle gets compromise and fruitless. Until Ojukwu left Biafra wasnt conquered. The moment MNK took over, yawa gas. MNK is a coward. He always use the word “coward” on people, not knowing that he’s indirectly defining himself. In a nutshell, Kanu by his uncalculated actions, has compromised the Biafra struggle. Imagine bringing down people’s hard earn investment, destroying people’s car, taking peoples lives. Besides was the EndSars movement about Biafra or IPOB? How do we get here. Mind you, I’m not against the Biafra struggle. Only stating the obvious before water pass garri. I drop pen here for now. |

Nigerian musician, Seun Kuti, had a recent interview with Arise TV, where he mentioned that some rich and affluent people endorse violence but they are still praised by people. The musician, who is also the youngest son of Afrobeat icon, Fela Kuti, said that the looting of stores by hoodlums is the same thing that goes on in high offices. Kuti said that the solution to Nigeria’s problems is not in the hands of the youth but the ‘people’ as a whole. The singer took a swipe at political leaders in Nigeria for allegedly accusing thugs of hijacking the #EndSARS protest. In his words; “When political rallies turn violent, you don’t hear that thugs have hijacked the election. Rich Nigerians express themselves with violence all the time but we still call them ‘Your Excellency’ and ‘Honorable’ after they throw chairs and tantrums” , he said. |

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has commended ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo for telling President Muhammadu Buhari the truth during a meeting on Friday. Recall that Buhari had met with former leaders of Nigeria including Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Obasanjo, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Chief Ernest Shonekan, Gen. Abulsalami Abubakar, and former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday over the tension in the country. Giving details in a tweet on Saturday, Fani-Kayode accused Buhari of telling former leaders that #End SARS protesters were turning violent across the country: Glad that OBJ told Buhari the bitter truth at their meeting after he claimed that the protests were turning violent. Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has queried the shooting of protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos State on Tuesday. Tinubu said he asked the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on who ordered the shooting at Lekki toll gate. He disclosed this after a meeting with Sanwo-Olu at the state’s Government House in Alausa. Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Tinubu said: “if he didn’t order the attack, who ordered the attack? That’s all I needed from him.” The former Lagos State governor had also called for a thorough investigation into the attack. He added:- “First, we have to segregate the calendar – those who suffered casualty before the protests from the hands of SARS. You have to separate that from those who suffered casualty due to what happened at the toll gate. “For those who suffered casualty from SARS, the Commission of Inquiry that is already set up will unearth that and will make their recommendations. I trust the calibre and the character of the people there, they are independent. That is one.” Tinubu had come under attack since the shooting at Lekki Toll Gate. |

Tinubu has finally reacted to Lekki Toll Gate shooting incident. While speaking with journalists today on his visit to the State Governor, Tinubu said the people attacked at the Lekki Tollgate needs to answer some questions before government can help them. His response has since sparked lots of reactions from Nigerians. To some people, Tinubu ‘s response is a display of how much more our leaders still intend to suffer the youths while some think he has responded well enough as an objective leader. |
