Tgiirl: Warning to all Newbie driver!
Do not login your uber/taxify details on any partners/ any person claiming to add you to a car. Scammers are using other drivers account to do multiple trips which will get you blocked permanently without you driving. Be careful
Warning to all riders.
Always enter your destination on either app you use and note the estimated price range for the fare else driver-fraudstar will use you buy house for lekki by doubling the trip fare.
Warning to all fraud drivers
Everyday no be Xmas. When caught, you will be disgraced and published. Loud it for those at the back. |

Cooladex: This is what i got from my app, but I dnt get alerts. Could he have done smtin? You are owing Uber #48,399.65 You will never receive any credit alert from them with that debt. You are rather to pay uber the amount you and your driver are owing them. The guys driving your car may not be overworking your car as stated by others. They may be using GPS altering apps to enhance their earnings and they apply it only to cash trips. |

ejire042: Good day drivers/partners I have been on this thread for a very long time and I have been silently following the discussions. I am an auto dealer and an IT professional. I have a lot of guys driving on uber/taxify and I can say I have a considerable amount of knowledge about this business of e-hailing.
If you are an experienced driver on uber/taxify/ogataxi etc and you wish to own your own car, I think this is your opportunity.
We have been in talks with some contacts in some renowned financial institutions that are willing to invest in the transport industry. They are ready to give out cars to EXPERIENCED drivers on the uber/taxify/ogataxi platform, with proven outstanding record. These cars will be given on a hire purchase agreement with a single digit interest rate.
Talks are underway and nearing a very logical and optimistic conclusion.
So if you are a driver with a high star rating, send your details to my email
taiwoajayisurvey@gmail.com
Please I am just doing this to help some guys here who have been slaving for others with nothing to show for it. If you are pessimist who likes to see the bad in every opportunity, I beg you to take your bad aura somewhere else. No one will ask you for any money, I’m just doing my bit to help guys here. This is great. If it becomes reality, drivers won't see themselves as slaves anymore. The driver knows he is putting in the efforts and sweat to own his own car and not slaving day and night to fill someone's pocket and still leave empty handed (with no car ) at the end. It will also create a better competing ground. You can decide to opt for rental or hire purchase agreement's. Fleet managers=>Rental Bank=> hire purchase The party with the better option will pull the crowd. By then, the issue of assurance will be settled. Will you prefer paying assurance just to rent a car or will you prefer paying assurance to own a car. Time will take care of so many issues. Be patient. It shall be well |

dru23: Let us be honest with ourselves.. The "assurance" deposit is the common sense thing to do . This is a no brainer, a driver that is serious should be able to drop at least part of his assurance deposit . I don't fully agree that a guarantor should be involved in any shape of form of assurance deposit at all.. A drivers assursnce is enough. Lets us change the narrative people, but most uber/taxify partners will not listern.. That is why most are broke and in debt.. At the beginning of the thread, I said that maintenance costs will run people out of uber. And boy am I correct.. This is a tough business and also fleet company needs the assurance deposit more than anybody else. This is the best way to go. Cab business in Yankee sometimes ask for deposit, hotel will ask for deposit . We as business man and women, need to follow western business model and see how we can incorporate that into our own business.. If it works for them it should work for us too. The first reasonable comment from thee. Keep it up |

Chuwaa: I had people complain about Balogun market and I always see surge there, so today after dropping a lady there, see requests everywhere, I forgot to put off my taxify. That market is simply a maze, where you have to meander your way through sellers, one way routes, Lastma, Police and other uniformed men, at the end of the day I was so so confused and found myself driving towards apapa and round and round ijora, before finally finding my way back to marina road. Next time I ever go there, na to find my way out ASAP. I was nearly caught making calls. You need to know that Marina-broad street-Nnamdi Azikiwe street stretch very well before you can make a legal and successful pick up there. If not, .... CBD yard will be your portion. |

I don't subscribe to the idea of e-hailing union. I don't need any baba-union springing up in any disguise and stipulating monthly dues, union stickers, union chairman, union meeting, union this union that. Pls no union. The various WhatsApp groups are enough for drivers to agree or disagree on any matter |

It has happened to me three times. This happens when you try to calculate the trip fare while the trip is still on. Some of us often try to see how much the trip fare has grown while we are driving and the trip is not yet ended. The app misbehaves at this point and by the time you finally end the trip ( after all the traffic, long distance, two hours drive), you will simply see one ridiculous #1,200 as the fare. MY ADVICE: Don't check the price while you are still on trip. Wait till the end of the trip before you touch the app bily: Of recent, my taxify app has been misbehaving... Calculating rubbish price. This morning, took someone from alimosho to ajah it showed N2400, trip I was expecting around 5k. Anybody experiencing this? Meanwhile I took a shorter trip on uber from ajah to isolo and the bill was 4k on uber
Some few days ago, was on a trip and I decided to check the current price of the trip which is possible with taxify. Current price was N2900, few minutes later on getting to destination, taxify showed N1300 for the ride |
