steady986: Studying Kyle Kyzma carefully, we can see that the only thing he's doing better this year is putting more effort on the boards. His FG% has gotten worse from last year. His assists have gone down too. His scoring has increased by just 2.6, and that's because he's starting games and his minutes has increased by 8.1/game. Notice he averaged 18.7 on 45.6% shooting and 2.5 assists as a starter alongside LeBron a couple of years ago. Those were all career highs.
So by and large, we're still waiting to see that improvement without LeBron.
We can rest now. Season still fresh. Even Dame and some other superstars never hit momentum. Give the guy small time and see, at least he is enjoying his game now. No be the one wey be say na him everybody dey blame for any loss. |

steady986: You sure there's not more? You no add Iverson? Or are you people listing only the people that led their team to a championship? I sha agree with you on this argument. You do not have to be number one option to be a generational talent. Bring in something unique, have a special attribute that the game has not seen before, then be consistent and be on top of your game, that talent is what is referred to as generational, Why? Because generations to come will start adapting to that talent of you and even improve on it. Being a generational talent does not mean you have to be number one on a team. You could be on the same team with KD or Bron, how you wan take be number one option there? Someone might just come and start scoring free throws facing backwards and will shoot at 90% accuracy, that's a talent that's never been seen before, as long as he's consistent and manages to be amongst top 20, that's generational... generations to come will continue with that skill. My opinion on the topic tho |

They have this one in the bag. 9-0 run in OT. Good for the Pacers team. How them go just lose 2 games with 1 point like that.. lol |

Mehn, you have to feel for this Pacers team. OT on back to back nights . They lost the last 2 games which they could have easily won at the last seconds. I hope they win this one. |

steady986: Starting the season with this much injuries has really hampered what the Lakers are trying to become. Nunn, Ellington, Ariza and THT were supposed to be key parts of that rotation. These guys bring shooting, defense and grit. Instead we're playing Bradley who we just signed 4 days ago. We're playing Rondo who's meant to be a deep end guy this year. We're playing a rookie who's supposed to be watching and learning. There's just not enough defense and floor spacing with these guys, even though we shot 44% from 3 tonight. That tells you there's shooting but not enough personnel to do it at a high clip.
No panic though. We played two very good teams. I'd be more worried if I got blown out the park like Boston or the Bucks or if I lost to the Hornets. Our next couple of fixtures is exactly what we need at this point – mediocre teams. Make we see as e go be. The question is: Will the excuses ever stop? These much excuses for injured role players fa. Chai Your supposed big 3 dey fit o, yet see as you load the excuse dey give us. Wetin you come want make Chef talk na? Instead make you talk say una don Bleep up. Sheybe we don already know say una Bleep up. Which one con be say you go worry if you get blown out? Una own blowout dey come, same way wipe out dey come for that team and your very important rotation players Baba shit happens, make una calm down abeg, your guys don begin fight each other ontop court, I just say the comedy go continue, cos e dey sweet us |

Khanben: Baba, lets rum a little experiment with two teams of different competive spectrums. The Bucks and Celtics. Out of Middleton, Jrue, J Brown, and CJ what rank will you give CJ. For me he is last, which means if he were in any of their teams, he will be the 4th best player on the Bucks (and 5th most important), the 3rd best player on the Celtics. The dude is highly inconsistent offensively and offers next to nothing defensively so that are we talking about From this list, I will pick CJ at least 2nd if not first. Haba now... CJ and Dame complement each other, just like Curry and Klay. Take CJ out of that Portland team and replace with Middleton or Jrue or Brown... You see any improvements? Giannis/CJ/Jrue... Same result No underrate the man abeg |

afrodoc2: What I am seeing is that you are the one disrespecting Dame. You gloss over his achievements. Imagine saying “ Apart from the Western Conference finals”.
But then you focus on his mistakes while glossing over Kyrie’s. Kyrie has not had any winning without Lebron in this league despite playing in the weaker conference all his life.
Weak teams line the Raptors, 76ers, dysfunctional Pistons, and unserious Nets were keeping him bottom of the conference pre-Lebron.
Dame has a higher scoring average, higher rebounds average, higher assist average. Dame is a better leader.
Dame has gotten to a conference finals as the best player in a team. Something Kyrie can only ever dream of. I feel confident in saying probably something Kyrie would never do.
You can make an argument for Kyrie (which I will disagree with) but not this outrage you are trying to propagate. This is not Dominique not making the Top 50 list. No one is disrespecting Dame. His name don dey the list, we no fit remove am. We are only saying that if he deserves to be on the list, then Kyrie also deserves to be on that list. What has Dame done to be on that list? I still see nothing from all the write ups here. What has AD done to be on the list when Dwight is not there? AD won a ring with Bron....... So has Kyrie, simple.. It is what it is, but we just dey talk am as e be. I'll put Klay on that list over Dame |

Roland17: L. Aldridge, he played 3 good seasons with Aldridge, Aldridge was still hot before he left for San Antonio!
Are we going to pretend CJ Mc Collum is not a star in this league? Are we going to debate he is not a 1/2 punch? Or is it because he doesn't have an All Star appearance?
Should I list the depth of his roster since he got in the league? I mean players who were in their prime in their respective positions!
Now, PLEASE SHOW ME THE STARS THAT KYRIE PLAYED WITH FROM 2011-2014.
I am waiting! The disrespect on CJ mehn. Dame got injured at some point last season and CJ carried that team until his return. |

Android17: The only argument you can make against Kyrie when compared to Dame is durability. I wanted to steer clear of his achievements because I thought it was a given. If you must know, Kyrie was drafted to a bad Cavs team which nobody expected him to elevate beyond what he did. There is a reason Lebron made them reshuffle the team and trade their top draft pick upon his arrival. You might call him the second wheeler but the Cavs don't win their 2016 ring without him. Heck, all the hype Lebron gets for the 2016 title but people forget that he stat padded for the first 2 games (continued to play even when those games were blowouts) and their games 3,5,6,7 wins are impossible without Kyrie. Kyrie even kept them in the game 7 until James came alive in the 3rd Quat (they scored the same points in games 5 and 7). And he hit the shot that sealed the win for them. That is more than anything Dame has done. You can argue that Dame took his Blazers to the WCFs but that roster was better than what Kyrie had at the Cavs before Bron and if he was fit against the Cavs in the ECFs where the Celts went 2-0 up and lost 4-3 to the Cavs, it will be hard to say he would have not made an impact. Nevertheless, Dame was swept by AD and the Pelicans in what should have been a surefire win for the Blazers. Dame got swept by a KD-less warriors team having led most of those games by double digits. Dame got wrecked by a Murray-less Denver last season as well. What we typically see as signature to Dame is folding when the pressure is on - the Olympics for e.g. Kyrie on the otherhand rose to the biggest of occasions. The Olympic games really exposed Dame. They just had to play him every now and then just because he's Dame (make e no be like say he no participate), the guy had no impact on that team. |

etidy: Simmons has more upside than draymond. In a team with a good coach like steve kerr and no center to clog the lane and multiple shooters, simmons will eat. \ Be like you dey underrate Draymond too much. Why do you think no team is willing to trade for Simmons? Simmons is not in anyway an upgrade for Warriors. Draymond is the Warriors engine room, every team will do anything to have him. Draymond and Klay are so underrated especially their defense. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by KNIGHTBlaed(m): 9:28am On Oct 22, 2021 |
etidy: The warriors are just wasting curry's prime for one useless future build. Trade draymond and one or 2 of those pick for ben simmons. Shey na upgrade be that or downgrade? Klay comes back and this Warriors team gets to conference finals. |

Android17: Every member of the New York Knicks team that won 2 titles between 1970-1973 made the list but Klay Thompson and Draymond Green with 3 titles and 5 straight finals from 2014-2019 did not make the list. Ohk. No Kyrie, Klay.... Na that one pain pass, I'll rate both above Dame.. If Dame and AD dey on that list then PG, Embiid, Gobert suppose dey there. |

But positives dey to pick from the game. The Knicks looks a very improved team from last season (and better if Kemba plays to his potential), just the way the Suns continued from where the stopped at the bubble and better with CP3. Time Lord did a good job tonight somewhat limiting Randle when he was placed on him, I expect a massive season from him. E just remain make Tatum dey consistent cos Jaylen Brown wants all the smoke this term. Na just first game, your boys can only get better. The fight they even put up suppose ginger them up. Something about Jaylen Brown dey tell me say this fit just be him average kind of game this season. The guy looks very hungry, make sure say you remember this post when the guy catch fire finish |
