Awesome list.. Good to see our guys from the NBA back doing their thing for us (notably Okogie, who was terrific for the Wolves). Almost all of the guys on the list play out of the country, what's happening with the guys from our Nigerian Basketball league?

Our team looks strong and the tournament is more open I must say, as almost all the teams stand a chance. If our boys can hold their own against Canada in a friendly, Canada with Nick Nurse as coach, then we at least can spring surprises. I don't see any clear favorite yet. Team USA is strong as usual, but this is the weakest USA team I have even seen, tho Pop is coaching them. What do you think?

Yes... That was the extra they all went. After the sports game, Biggy wanted them to all go out to the garden and play a game of each house mate picking the snack from the machine and the lucky ones get the money/coin/reward (the one Mike picked 50k and Kaffy picked 25k). But as body dey always pepper all the house mates, they all ran and robbed the machine taking all the snacks and some even announcing they won money from it. But based on who Biggy be, he didn't even recognized any of it anymore because they would not follow simple instructions. Not that tehy don't have the same Munch It snacks inside o, but their body no dey stay one place. That was why biggy punished them with the freeze thingy.

Giannis did make some open threes, and he clearly knows what he was talking about otherwise he would have been corrected by either A40 or someone else. Even if you didn't agree with him, the way you came at him was not cool, it's his opinion and it should be respected. I know you strongly disagree with him, but you should have just stated your reasons and probably start a cool debate with him. I kind of disagree bro and here's why. GSW have shown that they can just about blend any player into the way they do things. Giannis can still continue to be the focal point of their attack and that may well take the attention off Steph and Klay such that they'll have enough space to shoot uncontested 3s. Also, you must remember come playoff time when it gets physical and the tempo slows down, the Splash brothers struggle against certain teams, that is where you'll understand the usefulness of Giannis. Agreed, Giannis is not a finished article, he even admitted to that recently saying he is 60% of what he knows he can be. But make no mistake bro, Giannis will fit perfectly into GSWs offense and defense. I could even argue he would fit better than KD, just watch. If he comes, they will be a championship team again.

I would have said Giannis to GSW is not possible because of the love he's getting at the Bucks, but anything can happen in the NBA. Who would have thought CP3 might be leading an OKC team without PG13 and Brodie. I would love to see Giannis play with the Splash brothers tho.

Please guys, let's start with our prediction for the season and let's know which team/teams we stand for. So that once the season starts, we'll know who to laugh at and who to praise . We already know which team/teams our senior men here represent. But some of us still never declare, so make we know.

It is all about timing for me and this is why I say so. For two consecutive seasons since the Rockets stacked the house, they have lost to the Warriors and looking into next season, the Warriors will be less powerful with the loss of KD and Klay’s injury. So that means, if they met in the post season, the Rockets actually stand a chance of getting over the hump irrespective of who is at the top of the key.
A very underrated aspect of the Rockets game is their defense and that is because of the ISO basketball MDA plays. They still have a good perimeter and interior defense. My issue with the Rockets has always been the rigidity of MDA. I personally do not like rigid coaches who refuse to adapt to changes and this makes their team easy to prepare for because of the predictability. A different coach, say Alvin Gentry will get more out of the Rockets with CP3 and Harden. Harden is a monster that MDA created and it was solely empowered by D. Morey who is cursed with analytics.
Brodie’s arrival does not change much for me especially if they are still going to be jacking up those ISO 3 and this is because CP3 is a more efficient scorer than Brodie who is renowned for volume attempts. CP3 is a better facilitator when Rockets/MDA choose to do something different. More importantly, CP3 is a clutch player, a demon at the free throw line if the game came to that in comparison to Brodie.
The positives for Brodie is the already established friendship with Harden but playing together years ago at OKC may not necessarily translate into on court chemistry on a different team with different roles, identity and system. Both players have gone on to win MVP trophies so there is still going to be that ego and we both know Brodie does not back down for anyone and is quite stubborn even to the detriment of his team.
He brings health and availability in comparison to CP3 but that is enough for me to argue he will be a better player/ fit than CP3 for the Rockets in the post season.

They're definitely better. The question is how much better? Both of their superstars are significantly flawed. Will they complement each others flaws? Will they be able to share the rock? Honestly with the way the west is built, i see a first or second round exit at best. You know harden needs the ball in his hands, so does brodie, you know brodie will brick, I just don't see how that will work.

I believe the Rockets should get better than they were. With Brodie, just imagine the fast pace they will play with... At least Brodie will stay fit and Harden work load reduces. Just for Harden and Brodie to sort possession intervals and Brodie's 3pt shooting. I see it as a very nice upgrade (no disrespect to CP3, but his being healthy is a factor). What do you think?

What changed about the Rockets? Apart from losing to GSW (who have their button) and perhaps the seeming discord between the star players they were 65 wins in 2017, 50+ wins in 2018 with all their injuries and tied 2-2 with GSW (With KD still on the team). The fact of the matter is, between 2017-18 only GSW would have beat the Rockets. They play this Raptors without injuries and they would have won. Now people have kept them aside. I don't see anything to shout about Denver. They are the ones who look like regular season hipsters. They had no reason to lose a game 7 against the Blazers without Nurkic last season. Perhaps, maybe that is why I don't respect them as such. Philly definitely improved with Al Horford joining. But they look top heavy as well so I know they are good but that is their asterisk. There is absolutely nothing the Lakers will add that will significantly change their fortunes. Nothing. The better players in the trade block have found franchises. Don't let this fake analysts create a narrative that won't see the light of day. Ask yourself one question, if Kawhi had stayed back in Toronto and the Clippers got some of the players that now went to the Lakers will anyone start telling us that the Clippers improved? So what changed?

And please don't tell us about AD and Bron improving people around them. We know that to be almost completely false. See George Hill and Rodney Hood for example. We also saw AD in Pelicans with a coach they claimed was the brain behind GSWs 2014/15 title. So what changed? What will he do differently?

Thank you Eruditor.. You just explained the reason why I said this Lakers team cannot beat the Rockets (at least the Rockets team we saw last season). There will always be the hype (with or without AD and co.) because this is LBJ's team and na Lakers, but with what I am seeing, this Lakers team is not invisible. A very strong team when healthy, but any injury to LBJ or AD and them don enter panic mode. WC go smoke this coming season, I believe more surprises r still coming. We'd be back next season for sure. My happiness is, at least it would be a long time before we hear anything about asterisked titles and what not.

At 111-110 the game should have been tied because Draymond's 3 in the first quarter was not reviewed. The misfortune was too much. The crutches, the shoulder casts, the surgeries it took for us to lose. LOL.

Have you spotted any idiotic comments about Curry yet? Please ignore them. He averaged more points than Kawhi even though he is smaller and shorter and was getting triple and even quadruple teamed in some possessions.
