MrEverest: Whatever, the fact is that North can't singlehandedly unseat Tinubu, they will need full colabo with Igbos to achieve that.
Though Tinubu's hate against Igbos will make the alliance easy but other factors are also involved. Nnamadi Kanu would be released b4 d elections. |

ChiefOloye: Head or tail Tinubu will be your President for 8 years, despite you wishing that Hausa people will stop him for Igbos, since your ethnic minority group of 5 dots is too small to stop him. Tinubu na Yoruba man not minority Ijaw of Jonathan or or small ethnic Igbo of Pitobi. There are some hard and unpleasant truths you should accept about Nigerian politics, such as; just as an Hausa man tenure can't be truncated, so also a Yoruba man's term of office can't be cut short. Punder on this, between 1999 to date, 3 Yoruba men have been in Aso Rock, either as President or Vice President, where as the 5 dots has struggled without much success, to have an shot at Senate Presidency. You think it's due to wishful thinking or child's play? U no dey see road😳 Abi Tinubu man now. |

I don’t know how old he would be then, Asiwaji is clearing 2027 and then it goes to the North in 2031. So realistically 2039 would be obi’s best chance. |

kettykin: Realistically, in the South East, Tinubu’s chances are abysmally low, with Ebonyi state being the only place where he might scrape above 10%. However, everything hinges on the North's choice of vice president and their state of origin. If the Northern bloc rolls out enticing promises during their campaign, the dynamics could shift. These promises could include revitalizing river ports in Onitsha and Aba, designating Aba and Onitsha markets as export processing zones linked by rail to these ports, or the usual empty assurances—like handing over to an Igbo president after four years, which nobody takes seriously anymore. Adding sweeteners like releasing Nnamdi Kanu might also come into play. If these promises stick, the APC could sway the narrative, but without them, it’s a losing game in the region. You are talking theory reality is different. Did Tinubu win Rivers in 2023 but who did INEC say they won. Did APC win Edo & Kogi elections but who did INEC say they won. Did hope of IMO won imo, but by 5.00 pm game over for other party. |

And he is clearing Southern Nigeria completely. So tell me how he would not win. |

proeast: It's better to import toothpick than to be supplying drugs.
FYI, Obi has far better chances than Tinubu in 2027. At least, he still defeated the iragbiji man in 2023 despite all the billions he spent on propaganda about building Lagos and knowing how to use technocrats.
Today, all Nigerians have become convinced that he has nothing to offer. He has ruined lives and caused unprecedented hardship.
The iragbiji man is more likely to get stoned physically and have his billboards burnt down than getting votes in the north, SE and SS. The only technology in obi’s thick square head is to import tooth pick. He can’t help Nigeria. |

PresidObi: Another thread to praise the great man Peter Obi
Peter Obi has employed a lot of praise singers who sing even when they are not being paid shi shi.
Peter Obi may not solve all the problems in Nigeria, but Peter Obi is the only politician with any chance of solving any problems in Nigeria. Why praise a tooth pick importer telling us about Bangladesh’s and yet the Bangladesh prime minister he believes so much in was kicked out by rioting students. |

Why is he even importing tooth picks into his shopping and in the other hand believes he can solve Nigerian problems. I thought charity begins at home.
Obi is a discounted candidate. And when it goes back to the North in 2031, I want all our Southern brothers to throw their weight behind Al- Mustangs, I like his vibes. |

helinues: FCT is not a state House if reps is based on population and not whether an area is a state or not. For instance that town close to Abuja in Nassarawa state should have a higher representation than an empty state that have lost most of her population. |
Politics › Re: Since House Of Representatives Is Based On Population Why Has Reps Not Changed?? by KnowAll(op): 4:30pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
brain54: The constitution stipulates the number of Representatives...
From each state based on population.
But it isn't automatic. It will still require a constitutional amendment.
No such changes has been made! Are you saying a town or constituency that has reduced significantly over the years to almost zero like Borno and one that has increased tremendously like FCT should not adjusted accordingly. |

Politics › Since House Of Representatives Is Based On Population Why Has Reps Not Changed?? by KnowAll(op): 3:24pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
For instance the population of the FCT has gone up since 1999 and yet they have only 2 House of Representatives members why a state like Borno State some LG are virtually empty yet they have House of Representatives members.
Should we not be making changes as time goes on surely it can be static. |
