Then u don't know why Zimbabwe got bad economically.

Not because of salary but sanctions upon sanctions
I can bet move the minimum rate to just even 100,000 and start seeing hyperinflation.

The last two aspects of your suggestions were practiced in the former Soviet Union (USSR).

That socialist strategy proved to be unsustainable over the long-term hence the Russians after the peaceful break up of the former USSR into independent countries opened up to the free market economic system.

The BEST bet is to introduce more CNG refill stations such as those already in existence by NIPCO, and more CNG buses and vehicles fully to transport finished goods, farm produce, and people. This would rapidly drop the cost of transportation and goods and services would be cheaper. But this must be monitored because there are greedy people who would still want to game the economic system to maximize profits. So, whistleblower phone numbers can be provided for folks to report food items hoarders, and illegal check points were money is extorted by rogue policemen and soldiers, and state agents that collect illegal levies from food trucks moving from one state to another. There would be an instant drop of food prices in partnership with the market unions.

The second solution would be to invest heavily in drones for security purposes to prevent kidnappings by foreign Fulani nomadic invaders fleeing the drought and violence in the Sahelian region countries of West Africa and armed robberies that have made driving on some highways and going to the farms for commercial and subsistence farmers nearly all over Nigeria a nightmare.

The death penalty has to be implemented ASAP via electric chairs, lethal injections, or hanging. This is meant to serve as a deterance.
It is all about tweeting system just like what China did.

are these for all the workers in Nigeria, both private and public?
It is for public workers. The public minimum rate drives the private minimum rate. And in most cases the private minimum is always higher than the public one except domestic staffs who stay in ova’s house. Private individuals would also be allowed to shop in the cooperatives so long they pay annual fee of N10,000.00 per year.

If the president can unilaterally make pronouncements that impoverish the people, then a sincere leader can do same in the opposite direction.

Though I agree that it is a vicious circle because the society breeds the politicians and the politicians run the society, so its basically garbage in, garbage out. Our sociopolitical culture and values are at its lowest ebb in decades.

But some people have to break that mold or else the country is doomed.
I agree with you reverse the policy.

I think when you get embroiled in investing in western economies where the returns are in hard currency, you will think to yourself, why invest in a sinking economy like Nigeria where the Naira losing value every day is actually pauperising the population. There is no point.

TWO RAMS CANNOT DRINK WATER FROM THE SAME BUCKET. This man is a deep thinker. A ram represents an Aries entity meaning a spiritually dead entity operating under a universal curse of ham. The curse of powerlessness which is why they are eating from the bucket. The bucket represents death hence the saying KICK THE BUCKET. So basically the man was saying THERE IS NO POINT EXISTING IN A COUNTRY WHERE EVERYONE IS CURSED AND SPIRITUALLY DEAD. LET ME BOUNCE TO A COUNTRY WHERE THERE ARE NO CURSES AND PEOPLE ARE SPIRITUALLY AWARE 🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️

Also the sign of spiritual death is the huge coiled up ineffective horn. Two of those horns will prevent each other from drinking at the same time so basically there is no salvation living among fellow dead people. You have to port to the land of the living to get salvation is his message and truly Nigeria is a spiritually dead zone. Anywhere that is religiously dominated by churches and mosques is a spiritually dead place. Those institutions are setup by demons to tether your souls to the literal exegesis of the sacred texts. Make you a zombie
Oh boy this your interpretation deep but it makes sense.

I understand, but to do it nationwide in a way that brings it within the reach of majority of the population is near impossible. The bureaucracy needed to get it going across the country and maintain it will be the equivalent of running a national census or elections on a daily basis. The paper work involved will be crippling. The inevitable corruption that will bedevil it will ultimately break it.
South Africa is larger than Nigeria by size. And they are fed by not more than 30 oligarchs farmers, same thing Namibia.

Government will not buy at market rate, but will instead set the market rate, which will be much lower than is profitable for the farmer who might not have an alternative market.

A smart farmer would of course not sell to the government and export to Timbuktu instead where prices are much better. And government will have to import to feed you which will inflate the cost of food and deflate the value of the Naira.

The end point would be that after government deducts administration fee and bribe for purchasing from particular farmers (who would not be your small farmers but large industrial farmers), the food you get for N5000.00 would be worth less than N2000.00.
Do know the farmers that feeds the whole of South Africa and Namibia are not more 30.

Deinde Fernandez should be excused if that is the case. But Dan Etete would not. Because his ministerial role was not held in Italy. That kind of clearance given to him will be based on compassionate grounds.
The thread is about Nigerians who are wealthy but for whatever reason choose not to come home. And Fernandez is one of such person. Dan Etete if he comes home today who’s going to charge him. Obj wanted catch him . I doubt whether Tinubu would follow that line of action. Deviant and Aluko there case is still hot.

There is nothing communist about 2 of his suggestions. The one about groceries is unlikely to be practicable.

But the Groceries suggestion is what Lagos state is trying to do but needs a little tweeking to get it right.
PoliticsRe: Maintain Minimum Wage At N30,000.00 But Give Workers 3 Things??? by KnowAll(op): 2:37am On May 16, 2024
If you are a good economist inflation is the easiest thing to curb. Find what is causing the inflation

1 transport cost that should be taking off once fruit & vegs are purchase & warehouse in the cooperatives. The cooperatives on the hand would sell to the people at subsides rate. Bingo inflation over

2. Gasoline since government cig powered Lorrie’s would be doing the delivery to the cooperatives that would be reduced to the bearest minimum .

In order to subsidise to feed you, government will buy cheap from farmers, who will then find it unprofitable to plant food so food gets imported at inflated prices.

Trust me. You are worth far more than 30k a month or you at least ought to be.
They buy it at market rate from farmers. Farmers are not losing. The government would now subsidise it or even deduct N5000.00 from your pay for you use the cooperatives.

Let's just become communist already. Forget the wages they can decide what we eat, where we live, where we work and how many kids we have. The state has proven to be good at running schools, the electrical grid and other industries like oil refineries. Revolution now comrades.
Not communist but a welfarist state like Sweden and co.

There is what is called deflation. When prices starts tumbling downwards. Look if we look inwards produce what we eat, build our little houses with our own products and have free transport. Naira would not only gain value the 30,000 Naira of today may actually fall to the equivalent of $1,000.00
PoliticsMaintain Minimum Wage At N30,000.00 But Give Workers 3 Things??? by KnowAll(op): 2:08am On May 16, 2024
1. Free transport to work

2. Subsidised homes. Like the ones built by shagari in the 80’s . Little one two & 3 bedroom houses. They would pay N5000.00 per month

3. Build large cooperative stores that would sell groceries at rock bottom price. That means government would buy fruit and vegetables from farmers and subsidies them. Including meat rice& fish.

It can be done. There would be know reasons to increase wages which would eventually lead to a runaway inflation. The 650,000 labour is asking for would lead to runaway inflation just like in Zimbabwe.
