lailo:Obasanjo implemented them and Nigeria benefitted from the implementation beginning of his second term in office. Go back and see for yourself how Obasanjo was able to pay off Nigeria's debt, obtain debt relief, and even save up $50 billion in Nigeria's Excess Crude Accounts. All this was before Yar Adua came in and rolled back most of the policies and abandoned the reforms. ![]() https://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/scr/2005/cr05433.pdf What APC has done is nothing short of stewpid and disastrous to the Nigerian economy. ![]() |
Emesi:Fuel subsidy removal IS NOT the cause of the current hardship faced by Nigerians. Rather, the corruption and incompetence of your Kakistocrats in government remain the reason why Nigerians were plunged into severe hardship. Ordinarily, the removal of fuel subsidies would free up money for Nigeria to do so many other better things for the Nigerian people and the economy as a whole ... but because of the criminals in office, even removing subsidies will likely not change anything. The black hole that is corruption, which the current administration is unwilling to tackle, will more than ensure this. ![]() While you are at it. Read up on how during the Obasanjo years, devaluation and fuel subsidy removal were handled. You will be amassed at how this all would have world well if subsequent administrations had simply sustained the reforms already implemented during the Obasanjo years. https://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/scr/2005/cr05433.pdf

abu99err:Never... I don't read crap when reality is right in front of me to judge for myself. 😒 I lived through the IBB years. I saw how most of the reforms that were promised never happened. Lots of people in my community would have benefitted but the government never did any of what it promised. We knew Babangida was corrupt back then only we had no real way of knowing how corrupt it was because the government was opaque in most all it did. Now we know that IBB had not just been stealing but looting Nigerians blind while blaming their sufferings on IMF SAP. Speaking in the United States last Sunday, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo queried how Nigerian leaders since Ibrahim Babangida squandered $982.8bn they received in oil revenues.Where did most of that disappear to since there was nothing else going on during the IBB years except maybe the third mainland bridge? ![]() Anyway, read this instead on the implementation plan during Obasanjo's own run. https://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/scr/2005/cr05433.pdf |

abu99err:The only reason why the Nigerian government REFUSES to implement and sustain these reforms is one thing and one thing only... corruption. ![]() ► Implementing transparency from top to bottom as suggested would greatly expose the corruption in the system and these criminals you have in government are not going to allow that. They do not want that and so it is in their best interest to keep gullible Nigerians blindly believing the World Bank and IMF does not want anything good for them. ![]() ► Putting in place Safety Net programs like what is found out in Western countries, will greatly reduce the share of the loot that your criminal politicians are used to making away with. They would rather send you news of sharing rice to keep Nigerians chasing after shadows than have a fully functional welfare system that caters to the poor and sick in society. ![]() ►Fully privatizing state-owned companies will greatly reduce avenues for looting in the system and these politicians would rather have a hold on companies than completely release them to the hands of those in the private sector who have been proven better able to handle and run them. ► Removing fuel subsidies and diverting the funds to the Safety Net Programs and maybe also supporting local industries is another reform suggested. But these people are thieves. Nigeria claims to have removed fuel subsidy yet there is nothing to show for the claim since the announcement was made back in May 2023. Instead, even with the reduced buying power of the average Nigerian, the country claims that the average daily consumption of PMS has increased right after the announcement, and the amount paid for subsidy ballooned to over 3 times the cost before this administration. ... The list goes on. But see... why your criminal politicians are responsible for all — not some— of the hardship in that country and should be removed and punished to the very last? ![]() |
Cmanforall:The real weapons have probably been resold to the terrorists while this show here is merely to maintain mass ignorance of the Nigerian people. 😁 |
abu99err:Rubbish! You expect me to spoonfed you information that has been right at your fingertips since about the year 2000 — the document regarding what IBB did wrong was published in 1997 and has been available online since about the year 2000 for every Nigerian truly interested in knowing fact from fiction to realize what in fact happened and how IBB was able to make away with so billions of Nigerian dollars all while telling Nigerians that SAP was responsible for their suffering. ![]() |
abu99err:Dude, the fact that you have been ignorantly arguing all of this while without clear understanding of the reforms we are talking of up until now is more than enough reason not to even respond to you anymore. I would rather go argue with a wall at this point, abeg! ![]() Even China which many of you love to love implemented many of the exact same reforms, by the way. |
abu99err:I hate the way you people think it makes sense for you to argue from a point of complete ignorance. ![]() |
abu99err:Stop lying in a desperately bid to hold on to ideas that defy common-sense itself! Singapore is a notable example of a country that implemented and succeeded in many of the same reforms that the IMF is still today suggesting to Nigeria. ![]() |
officialwdhtvv:How much did he pay them as it is that is money he will not have to survive the current Tinubulation that is still revving up in Nigeria. ![]() |
abu99err:Removed what subsidies on fuel? ![]() Nigeria's fuel subsidy in September 2023 was estimated to be as high as N1.68 trillion. This was due to the naira's fall against the dollar and the rise in crude priceshttps://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-09-23/dangote-says-time-for-nigeria-to-end-fuel-subsidy-boost-naira According to CBN, the reason the Naira was devalued was to collapse multiple Fx windows into one. But to this day, Nigeria still operates multiple Fx Windows. ![]() |
NLCreator:CNG small vehicles have been banned in most of India, China, and the EU. So, why is Nigeria promoting CNG as if the next best thing? ![]()

tishbite42:Sadly, it is on even those who did not bother to go out to vote as well as those who voted against him. That is what Democracy is all about after all. ![]() |
NLCreator:After you find this guy who is missing, what do you intend to do for him? Give him enough money to keep him for the next 3-6 years of Tinubu? ![]() |
obua:CNG vehicles(small mostly) are being considered for a ban in China and the EU. ![]()
|
mrsqueen:They didn't convert their petrol/diesel cars to using CNG. ![]()
|
Zaheertyler:Nothing! Because a capitalistic system is better than the fraudulent system that Nigeria has been running up until this point! ![]() |
NaijaphiliaBlog:What the report does not state though is how much of the Dangot's refined crude is obtained locally— the naira-for-crude deal — meaning that Nigerians can expect to pay lower prices at the pumps. At least that is what Dangote himself promised would happen. ![]() |
richmond500:I see you are not serious at all! ![]() |
helinues:Eejit! If those things are in fact functional weapons— and not dummies made to look like real weapons—, rather than burn them, in 2024, you look for ways to recycle them or reuse them. ![]() According to the man, the weapons are government-issued so why do they mostly look like chakabulas and pebble guns on that pile instead of the typical weapons we see members of the forces brandishing in pictures? If na true say the government may them, why not find out where and how they were taken, make certain those responsible are brought to book, and return the guns to the government or at least recycle them? Also, before you come back with some sort of inane retort, read the attached image. ![]()

richmond500:You people and your numerous lies never cease to astound. Always desperate to post the next false news so as to get paid more. ![]() Similar reports were raised back in September due to more Nigerians altogether abandoning their cars and turning off their generators. Demand has been dropping and as such importation would also common-sensically drop as well. Where is your evidence instead Dangote now refines more local crude than it has in the past and that has resulted in a reduction in imports. ![]() |
sarrki:In 2024? Are these people serious at all? Anyway sha, na the Nigerian people I go blame, no be them. ![]() |
Islie:So? Aren't you people paid to solve the problem not repeat it back to the people? 🤔 |
Hezzyluv:No mind am! The National grid na for air e dey? No be for states and regions dem take situate the grids? Excuses galore na him APC Government dey to offer! |
Saao:Clear his name? After all he has done, I am a lot more suspicious of him than ever before. All this media rumble IS NOT how to clear one's name abeg! ![]() In at least one of the many interviews Falana has given on this issue to clear his name, he claimed that he had gotten over 300 Nigerian pardons in Nigeria and internationally. While searching up Falana's use of presidential pardons for instance, I found a report that claimed that Falana's firm requested presidential pardons for petty thieves some time ago in addition to some already granted pardons by the President. Among those granted pardons were 2 politicians who stole over a billion Naira each. Why would such happen or be allowed? ![]()

Kewtt:The case against Bobrisky from Falana's lawyers serves as additional proof that the recording was not doctored. The fact that the House of Reps launched an investigation into the events at the EFCC and the prisons based on the recording also proves it was not a fake. ![]() Insinuations and innuendos can only be deemed defamatory by a court of law... the Falanas have yet to take VDM to court on this. ![]() 2. This isn't a cyberstalking case. This case will get nowhere if the Cybercrimes Act is involved as it only provides for the distribution of pornographic! ![]() As for how VDM got the audio, you should go back to the beginning to learn this at least. ![]() |
Emesi:Your Laws are in the public domain. Educate yourself! ![]() |
Namaster:Not to be picky but has Macron concluded his own BULLSHEET over here in Africa? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am sorry, but coming from France, of all countries... this is the ultimate in BULLSHEETING abeg! ![]() |
Melagros:😥😥😥 Nothing to show for it...seems to be a general trend in Nigeria. ![]() |
Proudlyngwa:You think industrialization can take place in Nigeria by farmers using nothing but hoes and cutlasses? ![]() 2. Improvise and evolve using hoes and cultasses? No formal education in need and use of better machinery and technology necessary? Wow!... ![]() Have you at least been able to accomplish this right in your own village so we can see and learn from the example... industrialization accomplished by way of hoes and cutlasses. ![]() |
