A Lawyer who collected the Number two man's salary for 8 solid years while watching the number one violate the Nigerian Constitution every chance he got. That lawyer does not like una at all.

■ I wrote off the economy within 30 days of his assumption of office. I knew he'd ruin it. Within 3 months, there was severe forex scarcity due to a foreign exchange policy he introduced. The man was a disaster. Had he won the election in 1999, by now, the country would be owing over $100bn in debt.

You folks need to stop making excuses such as these abeg! This man campaigned to become the number two man in the country and enjoyed the salary that went along with the position so there is no excuse whatsoever for what he did not do for the country.

2. On the ticket was Buhari/Osibanjo and what you saw was that duo doing absolutely nothing to fix Nigeria. Osinbajo collected salary as number two man in Nigeria so he is equally to blame. Please stop playing these useless games on the Nigerian people.

No, not my respect! This man has been working with the government for the most part of the last 2 decades and in all that time, he has not had what anyone would remotely consider a positive impact on the general economy, in any sector for that matter. Why only Dangote Refinery? Is he the only man in all of Nigeria who could be helped by the government to build a refinery? Why aren't there many other privately run refineries aided by the government?

To start to understand how Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, came to have such influence over the Nigerian government, it is useful to go back in time to 2003. Before then, he was a Nigerian billionaire just like any other.

But in the run up to the 2003 election campaign, president Olusegun Obasanjo had a famous falling out with his vice president, Atiku Abubakar, over the latter’s attempt to succeed him as president after only one term. Obasanjo had also been operating on the understanding that Atiku, as the People Democratic Party’s (PDP) money man, would fund his re-election campaign.

But Atiku told him that all the money had been spent during Obasanjo’s turbulent first term, notably on lobbying the national assembly not to impeach him on two different occasions.
