2. NIDCOM has no authority to involve itself in this case at all. It is overstepping its bounds as it is not set up as a security agency of any kind nor does it have any mandate to attack any Nigerian citizen both at home and abroad. Abike Dabiri's attack is more of a personal vendetta, it seems.

The other commenter whom you responded to provided none of what is explained in the definition there. Therefore his comment can not be construed as justification for the woman's supposed action or anything at all.

That said, he does raise a valid point that the swift action displayed in this particular situation has been absent in numerous others before this. How come, we should all ask.

My particular question is why is NIDCOM, and not the NSA or some other Nigerian security group out there, the party going after this particular woman's case? Nothing I have found so far in the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Act of 2017 gives NIDCOM power to attack Nigerian citizens either at home or abroad in this manner. That is instead the job of security agencies of which NIDCOM is not set up as.
