alizma: ✓ Ayodele will return and will likely do better, untill 2017 when they came up with selfish interest to invade the NIA office, that agency was doing its great work without many Nigerians in the know of it existence. Till date, I still felt bad about the way the whole issue was handled then.
If that happens, that would also mean that the government is also lying in this.
EreluRoz: I'm an anointed soul so mind what you say to me if you don't want Isiah 47 vs 3 to be your portion
Look at this silly one. Isaiah 47 which you quote from applies only to those who are born of the literal blood of Jacob... Does your ancestry reach the Nigerian border? 🙄
Immatex: The South East Governors are so glad that instead of the youths and people of the region to heap blame’s on them for the maladministration in the region, the blame FG and advocate for succession, thus shading the real culprits - the Governors
That na the same story all over Nigeria, mind you.
EreluRoz: The earlier you realize that only God can save Nigeria the better you all start including Nigeria in your prayers.
Abeg get lost! Even you get the audacity to tell that lie? I no blame you and your scammers-in-the-lords. Na the gullible people who dey fall for una lies I blame.
BlackyOne: This man stopped sharing money on Twitter, and decided to give money to real people. Either way, the way they give money will not improve the economic lives of the people. With the current economy, only local SME businesses, traders, farmers and protest are worth supporting financially
Is he a politician in the area? How does he make his money abeg ? What products does his company manufacture and sell?
dre11: @✓ Security sources, however, told our correspondent that following the former DG’s visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu he was asked to resign due to “severe intelligence lapses” during the recent #EndBadGovernance protests across the country. “It was not just about the hunger protests,” one source said, “it was also about how the protests evolved and escalated, with Russian flags flying in some states and protesters openly calling for military take-over. The thing looked so well-coordinated it is difficult to understand how the Intel agency missed it.”
Another source said even though Abubakar had done his job the best he could in the last six years, he may have fallen out of favour with the national security adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, whose office supervises the agency. “In light of the serious security challenges that the country faces, inter-agency cooperation is key, and Ribadu needs to have a firm grip,” the source said. “Abubakar was asked to resign on Saturday night. The story about family issues was an afterthought.” The source added that Abubakar had planned to travel on Saturday night and had gone to inform President Tinubu when he advised to resign immediately.
The man shouldn't have lied to the face of Nigerians about it at all. It showed he lacked even decent respect for the intelligence of the people.
Dapromzy333: ✓ Meanwhile, a security analyst, Dr Yahuza Getso has said that the security operatives who were complacent and allowed the late Emir of Gobir to be murdered by bandits after spending over 3 weeks in captivity, should be punished. He warned that there was palpable tension in Gobir community after the gruesome murder of the Emir, as the activities of the bandits have caused deep division among the native Gobirawa, Hausa and the Fulani people in the area. ” The leaders of these bandits terrorising the Northwest region are well known, their places of origin are known, their parents and these who supply them with means of logistic are all known.” ” We all have agreed that the security operatives have the expertise to face this problem head on and bring it to an end. It appears the political leaders are not giving them the support they need to overcome this menace,” he alleged.
Tinubu said he would continue from where Buhari left off and as we can all see, he meant every word of it. So, Mr. Professor, ask your people to look for ways to protect themselves from these known bandits oo. Self-defense na human right!
mfm04622: ∆ There are laws against destruction of lives and properties. The Security agencies are claiming the financiers were planning to cause mayhem. Well, those caught will know if there are laws against what they planned to do.
Tambolo brain, get away abeg!😩
Imagine this one thinking he has said something intelligent bayi! In this 2024, someone actually typed that as a response thinking he has said something of worth? tufiakwa!
lightwind: ■ 99% of this idiots supporting APC government in Nigeria here doesn't LIVE here in Nigeria with us bro. That's why i hardly engage them. You're wasting your time talking to them. Many don't feel the pains we feel here
Interesting to note! Do you think Nigerians in the diaspora who don't agree with what the government in Nigeria is doing need to do more to counter these sycophants in some way?
puku902: This Islam has really cost the world so much. I have lots of Muslim friends, maybe because they’re westerners and educated, they’re the only reason I believe not all Muslim are terrorist. But this particular Islamic religion is too much for us to bear. Yes, I’ve been to Dubai and it’s so peaceful, but what we have in northern Nigerian is enough reason to declare that religion illegal. This is too much. Christianity is not 100% peaceful, but atleast far from this terror and chaos. If you’re a Muslim, do you sometimes feel ashamed within yourself of what your religion stand for.
...
Innobee99: U spoke my mind and I'm fulfilled reading your comment
So, because these people are Muslims, they should be killed off like animals? Are you for real?
youngrichnigga: Quite a few are invalid accounts while some have no names attached to tbem
ABeg, what app you take use to verify this thing? Does Opaluwa Eleojo Bob-simon know his account was listed because his Facebook says he works with NLC in Kogi State and his last Facebook post was on July 15th? Or has he been kidnapped by the Nigerian police-kidnap force abi na DSS since then?
abbey621: ∎Yinmu.......The lineage of Abacha still dey enjoy pass regular people till this date, the sooner y'all drop all that karma shit, the sooner y'all can realize the only justice is to do like the Arabs and go full kamikazee(KABOOM)!
abi ooo! 🙄 I saw a video by Seun Kuti the other day where in the middle of all of his rants, he went on to explain that Karma, the original Hindu version, was a racist doctrine used by Moghul Indians to oppress the black Indian. Watch the following video from 5:10 - 8:17
ogbonti: The National Assembly members must all be vited out, yhey are the ones enabling this tyranny… haba what are they there for? to say I or Nay? the I’s have it. what nonsense is this na? this is not democracy
Nigerians have yet to lift a finger to do that is the problem to this day.
Babatunjo: Kidnappers demands N60 million and 6 motorbikes as ransom for the ded bodi of the killed emir In all these going on, we have SSS, DSS, FIB, CID, EFCC, ICPC, Army, Navy, Air force and other paramilitaries The kidnappers were discussing on phone with the family of the kiidnaped emir just as they've been doing all over the country We have ministers of communication, telecommunications, information and others that have access to service providers In fact we have minister Bosun Tijani that they hyped and over hyped as computer guru. So if we can't track calls made by kidnappers and know their location in this modern era, what's the use of communication, telecommunications, information and other nonsense ministries? *Rest in peace Emir of Gobir*
OALandAgents: Because you were misguided by anti-Abacha propaganda , does not invalidate him as a one of the best top 2 or 3 leaders we ever had.
Misguided by a man that used the police to kindap many who spoke out against the government from my community? Misguided by a man who made everyone live in fear of being next on the list? Misguided by a man who offended those who opposed him? Misguided by a man who kept Abiola in chains just for the heck of it? Sigh!🤔
mastermaestro: I just cannot laugh. During Abacha's regime that many Nigerians nearly ate grass? You must either be mentally slow, or you got your stupid opinion from distorted Northern archives. Abacha's death that drew crowds to the street in jubilation including students of tertiary institutions? Then, one dummy comes here saying shit. Na plank them supposed take beat the drugs wey you take comot from your head.
To this day, the image of events of that day still dey my mind. I dey campus that time. Suddenly, I heard shouts of joy from every corner of the campus. When I asked, they said, "Abacha don die!" Oh, glorious joy! 😂😂😂😂😂
iwaeda: Abubakar was first appointed DG of the NIA in 2018 by former President Muhammadu Buhari, who extended his stay in office in December 2021. Until his appointment, he was Senior Special Assistant to the former President on International Affairs/International Relations.
Atuero: ■ Policy consistency as she explained can curb corruption, ■ according to her, some of those policies should be made law and stick to it like. ■ Independence of the CBN. Independence of the Judiciary. Provisions of basic infrastructure etc.al Curbing corruption can be systematic
No it cannot! Consistent application of the draconian policing policies of the last administration, criminalizing protests and people's right to speak out, for instance, cannot in any way curb corruption. And expecting corrupt politicians to implement policies to curb corruption which they benefit from is unreasonable.
2. What Nigeria needs is a repeal of the many laws made by the last administration and this one as well, if we are going to get anywhere close to cleaning up the system.
3. These institutions are independently defined in the Law. However, in practice, they aren't and we all know why. Policies don't make magic happen if the system is already rotten to its core.
kedeojo: Theirs was an organized ones and they were the face of it then. Let those politicians and others come out to lead a peaceful protest not hide. We saw Soyinka too then but someone like Charlie goat oputa was on twitter ranting. Am not against a protest.
Is there a law that it has to be like that in order to be considered an organized protest? Why do you folks reason worse than tambolos?
Zaheertyler: ■ No way of reasoning is actually stupid to start with In as much as we want to do like we know these problem we are just laymen This people have the experience first hand and they should have learnt from their mistakes what should be done and shouldn’t And the corrupt process is normal in the foundation of every democratic process Democracy in Nigeria is 25 years and the people are already speaking up..it might be slow but slow and steady wins the race..no arguments but relax Is there anything you would have done differently then let me hear you
As I made clear earlier, this is a very stewpid way of reasoning your own government and democracy.!🤔
That's actually a stewpid way of reasoning things. You don't need to know what she knows to know that no amount of policy consistency can or will do away with the damaging effects of corruption on the same system. Nigeria has weak institutions riddled from top to bottom with corruption.
iwaeda: The Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has advocated policy consistency in Nigeria regardless of change from one administration to another. “Maintaining good economic and social policies; maintaining policy consistency and adding more reforms on top of that will lead us along the path of good progress that we all desire,” she told a room filled with lawyers at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos on Sunday. The globally respected developmental economist known for her African print Ankara wears and peculiar headgear tilted at a convenient angle delivered a keynote address titled, ‘A Social Contract For Nigeria’s Future’ at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Sunday.
Na wetin go resolve corruption in the system be this?
NaijaSumigan: Police must have provoked these people and they retaliated... Why would Nigerian police lie that it was an attack without provocation Does that makes sense
They told the same bloody lie during the #EndBadGovernance protests. To this day, the police have not apologized for any of the protesters that were killed.
