...yes you are saying the truth..but according to the Constitution the federal government has no power to give LGA full autonomy is the state governors that have the right and power to do that.. Buhari tried to do that by giving an executive order for money to be sent directly to LGA bank accounts directly from the federal government ...but the state governors did not agree and they all went to court to challenge the order Buhari gave and the state governors won the case in court...so according to the Constitution is the state governors that have the power and can agree to have local government autonomy...so if nigerians want local government autonomy... nigerians in each state have to agitate and protest against their state governor to give them local government autonmy in their state and if they receive to give .. then nigerians in their state can boycott the governorship election and state assembly election iand refuse to vote untit they pass and sign a bill for local government autonomy in their states

The state governors have no such power. It is the national assembly that can initiate such move by way of constitution amendment then the amendment bill is passed to state assemblies who in turn are expected to vote for or against it. The last national assembly actually agreed for local government autonomy but the state assemblies refused to vote for that amendment, that's why we are where we are.

It's over four months since petrol subsidy was removed and for the first time Nigerians agreed to understand with the government over the issue, this government is beginning to feel they have one special super power to make the citizens accept whatever they throw at them, this is a very wrong assumption. You had over four months to negotiate with NLC and co, you had over four months to roll out your post subsidy programmes, where are the CNG buses? Where are the loans promised business owners? I totally support the organized labour this time around.
