It is God's prerogative to call whomsoever He wants His firstborn. Fyi, "first born" spiritually, has different meaning(s), from "first born" literally. Stop trying so hard to make fetch happen, instead, call it a day, then go read on the antecedent of Ephraim, to find out what particular & significant act(s) did Ephraim do, that justified God calling Ephraim His first born
