Whao! I don't want to believe that this is a rigging strategy by PDP controlled Jega and his officials but it seems that(rigging strategy) is what we can call this postponement by INEC

voters @ Alimosho LGA in Lagos are still waiting for INEC officials to come; this made sm ppl to go back home after waiting for over 4 hrs. May God deliver Nigeria and Nigerians from PDP failures in every aspect of administration. When would our government be proactive enough to be able to do things as planned(or a bit behind schedule). May be it is a rigging strategy designed by PDP!!!
PoliticsRe: Nothing Is Wrong With The Nigerian Education System - Buhari by kokogee: 9:42pm On Mar 20, 2011
@ efisher and chamber, below is the part of world bank findings concerning Nigeria education system. The bold part clearly says the problem is as a result of mismanagement and inadequate funding. I can't blame you much bcs you'r products of the mismanaged system!

B Education Sector and Selected Aspects of the System
1 Background
The education system is based on the National Policy on Education (NPE) document of
1977 (last revised in 1990). The policy document addresses the issues of imbalance in the
provision of education in different parts of the country with regard to access, quality of
resources and girls’ education. Education is organized into 6 years of primary education,
3 years of junior secondary school, 3 years of senior secondary education and 4 years of
university/ polytechnic/ college education.
The Federal Ministry of Education has the responsibility for the coherence of national
policy and procedures and for ensuring that the states’ policies operate within the
parameters of national policy as adapted for local needs. Co-ordination of policy at the
political level takes place through the National Council of Education. This is the highest
policy making body, chaired by the Federal Minister of Education and includes all the
State Commissioners of Education. This body is advised by the Joint Consultative
Committee on Education, which consists of all the Federal and State Directors of
Education, Chief Executives of education statutory bodies, and Directors of University
Institutes of Education. The Director of the Federal Ministry of Education chairs the
Committee.
Responsibility for educational institutions is shared between Federal, State, local
government, communities and private organizations. The Ministry of Education has the
major responsibility for education but other Ministries also play an important role. The
Ministry of Information has the responsibility for publicity and awareness of some of the
educational policies and programs offered. The Ministry of Women’s affairs and Social
Welfare together with the State Commission for Women also play a role in promoting the
education of women and girls.
The administration of the education system is shared mainly amongst the Federal and
State Ministries of Education as well as statutory bodies referred to as Commissions.
There are Commissions established for different sub-sectors of the education system and
are charged with various responsibilities for the sub-sectors. There is a National Primary
Education Commission (NPEC), the National Secondary Education Commission
(NSEC), the National Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education Commission
(NMEC) and the National Universities Commission (NUC). In addition there are other
major role players at local government level, district level and in the immediate
environment where the school is located.
The system grew rapidly in the late seventies and early eighties. The growth was mainly
in size and not in quality. There have been problems in the implementation of policies for
the expansion of the education system that have contributed to their failure to assist in the
social and economic development of the country. Lack of capacity for planning and
management, limited financial resources, inadequate information systems and monitoring
systems are some of the problems that led to rapid and unplanned growth. More attention
had been paid to the expansion of the system due to political pressures than from a
concern about the provision of greater access to quality education.

The expansion program has not been matched by a comparable increase in funding, to
ensure that the quality of education is maintained. Inadequate funding has had an impact
on the organization and management of education at all levels. There is a need for the
reconstruction of the infrastructure to ensure quality learning and teaching. Concerns
about quality and standards have been raised over and over again
PoliticsRe: Nothing Is Wrong With The Nigerian Education System - Buhari by kokogee: 9:02pm On Mar 20, 2011
",  teacher, student, content, and context are taken as forming a system of education." (Steiner, 1988, p. 107) Thus, the components or subsystems of an education system are teacher, student, content and context, and affect relations pertain to how these components are connected.

Take a look at the bold, it is clear that education system has 4 components; how those components connects (which mainly is the work of gov) determines if the system is effective or not.

Our syllabus are reviewed from time to time which is why you hear about some of our Nigeria trained students(that struggle to have access to the material recommended by our syllabus) doing wonderfully well when they go outside Nigeria to further their studies. Our libraries are empty; we have like 300 students(sm standing, sm sittin) taking lectures in halls with no speaker, no light, no AC or fan; no more scholarship for brilliant students(they hustle to pay sch fees); lecturers are not well paid; researches are not funded(but there are ppl with one research topic or the other).

The truth is that Nigeria education system encourages research and discovery of new things that can improve the society, but the problem is that PDP ppl have diverted all the money meant to finance research and equip our libraries and laboratories to their personal purses, so education is dying.

Buhari is only saying that the system which is not working is not bcs the system is bad but bcs the system is not given what it needs to work; the problem is administrative and Buhari is offering Nigerians the kind of administration Nigeria system needs to work effectively.

I maintain that there is something wrong with our system.

Corruption itself is a bye product of a bad system.
Hey my friend! if corruption is the by-product of a bad system, how did bad system come into being? I can tell you that your analytical skill is so bad which makes you not to know which one result to which. Let me tell you; if you have a carpenter(square peg/corrupt person) telling you that he can repair your TV (round hole), what result is he going to produce? What am saying is that if sm1 with no strong will but claims to have the will (corrupt person) and also lacks the knowledge of how to do or use ppl to achieve things(clueless person like GEJ); this definitely would lead to mismanagement of human and material resources, thus producing a system like ours(Nigerians).

Let me tell u, Buhari said it clearly during yesterday debate that : the laws and financial regulations are clear but failure to implement is the major cause of our underdevelopment. This statement tells any reasonable person that mismanagement, indiscipline, corruption make ppl to deviate from plan as a result of which PHCN, Water corporation, roads, education would not work.

Probably u'r yet to get it, this example would make it easier for u: if you buy a new generator(our education system) and u did not put adequate  oil/petrol (funding), would the generator run well? or would u say the generator is not good?

PoliticsRe: Nothing Is Wrong With The Nigerian Education System - Buhari by kokogee: 1:56pm On Mar 19, 2011
The truth is that Buhari knows exactly what he was talking about but bcs he is a man of few words and more of action, he was not able to break it down.

Simply put, a system refers to the structure. The education system in Nigeria as we all know has been changed from the old 6-5-4 (which produced far better graduates) to 6-3-3-4 and now 9-3-4; these have produced no better result, rather producing graduates that cannot defend their certificates. Then without mincing words, there is no problem with either the old system or the new system but the problem is the administrators of the system. They and their masters are very corrupt and indisciplined such that they diverted major part of the resources meantfor the system to their personal accounts.

Let's take for example, annual financial appropriation bill/budget prepared by the military and their civilian counterparts in the history of Nigeria; anyone with good analytical skill would tell you anyday that those budget were actually meant to transform Nigeria but the problem has been failure to implement those laudable plans on the paper. The fact is that all the resources that supposed to be used to implement the plans were diverted.

In conclusion, what Buhari emphasized on is the need to fight indiscipline and corruption (which are part of PDP constitution) by ensuring that people are made to (i) account for whatever is entrusted in them (ii) implement whatever plans that they put forward in form of appropriation bill/budget. If a leader ensures those two suggestions by Buhari are implemented to the letter , Nigeria would be great in few years to come. HE HAS DONE IT B4, LET HIM DO IT AGAIN!!!
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate on NN24 by kokogee: 9:19pm On Mar 18, 2011
Let's come to think about it; thou not so articulate at answering questions, Buhari demonstrated discipline and ability to keep to promise by not only present at the debate (despite his age and little ability to speak too much) but was there early (he keeps to time)
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate on NN24 by kokogee: 9:12pm On Mar 18, 2011
The summary of the debate:

Buhari is a man of few words and men of few words (esp if u'r discipline and do not mingle with bad people) by history keep to their promise bcs the few said were deliberately and carefully chosen. Also, by antecedent, Buhari demonstrated that he knows how to lead by example and selecting credible and trustworthy ppl to revamp Nigeria is the easiest thing he knows how to do thou not too good at telling lies to ppl to vote him.

Ribadu is smhw arrogant believing that being the head of EFCC automatically makes him the most qualified.

Shekarau on the other hand is naturally a good speaker but most of what he said which he may not implement were to canvass for vote,

I think among them, Buhari still remains the most credible that can keep to his promises.

Really, I'm amazed by some ppls posts! Shagari gov was toppled by Buhari because of the intolerably high level of corruption. He dealt with corruption as a whole. Within his short stay in office, he reduced inflation and made ppl accountable for their actions. If he did not tolerate corruption and made everyone to be equal b4 the law irrespective of ur status in the society as a military, definitely, the likes of Ibori(a PDP guy being tried abroad while Nigeria minister of justice is trying to shield him from facing the bcs he financed Yar'adua/Jonathan rigging to office), Babangida(another PDP that looted Nigeria treasury dry such that he took loans to be looted after the 'gulf' oil revenue disappeared into his pocket) and his boys and so many fraudulent guys trained by PDP would face the wrath of law by the time he(Buhari) comes back as a civilian. He would recovered as much as possible of the looted money by all these PDP senators and use it to better the lives of Nigerians by working with credible Nigerian professionals to turn around the economy of the nation.

U know he is coming back by ppls votes and not 'gun' so expect a civil approach to resolving Nigeria problems from him this 2011.

Why should u b disappointed when ur candidate to whom 'expo' was not given refused to participate in order to avoid embarrassment? The debate was rather about what to offer to ppl and how to realise the promises by ppl(PDP oppositions) who know what governance and democracy is all about. The PDP is afraid of opposition because they have nothin 2 offer than riggin, thuggery and looting(from which they give peanuts to sm ppl who are ready to give up their futures and these ppl defend them by hook and crook)
PoliticsRe: You Risk Arrest, Jonathan’s Camp Warns Buhari by kokogee: 8:27pm On Mar 12, 2011
The truth about this Buhari is that his regime as a military man was based on War Against Indiscipline (WAI). Buhari and his vice, Late Tunde Idiagbon tolerated no nonsense from anyone. Do u know that his gov was overthrown for his zero tolerance for indiscipline of any form. Babangida who was busy shielding the likes of Dangote that was involved in drugs and the late Abiola that was importing contrabands from being penalised by Buhari and Idiagbon considered him too harsh; so he(Babangida) conspired with the elder brother of late Yar'adua and Abiola(who financed the coup) to overthrow Buhari. After Buhari gov was toppled, corruption, inflation, Nigeria debt profile and frauds started growing at an alarming rate; while public institutions and values started eroding drastically.

Buhari used the Petroleum Trust Fund to execute sm tangible projects; education was better and ppl got job. Then, the social classes of Upper, Middle and Lower were there. However, within a short time that IBB took over, the middle class disappeared and from then till now what we have is just the upper class (fraudulently rich individuals) and the lower class (pple that live from hand to mouth).

PDP has spent 12 years, there is no single improvement, so why would we not give a man with good intentions the chance to help bring back the good old days?

NIGERIANS, ESPECIALLY THE YOUTHS, OUR DESTINY AS A COUNTRY IS IN OUR OWN HANDS. LET US USE OUR VOTES WISELY!!!

Kokogee,  since I don't consciously align myself with any particular political party in Nigeria,  I am not qualified to speculate as to the identity or motives of masterminds behind the various violent encounters between election campaign combatants that you have listed.
If u don't know the motives of those PDP guy fomenting troubles, and u don't align urself with any political party; the implication is that all u'r saying about Buhari hold no water.

U said it that u're not so conversant with the Nigerian political terrain and the players; so how and where do u get all the info u have about Buhari?

And since u know so much about Buhari, why were u not able to answer categorically whether u or sb heard (A) Buhari say "Lynch the opponents" or (B) his statement was translated to mean "lynch the opponents" ? I've given u 2 options, is it A or B?

PoliticsRe: You Risk Arrest, Jonathan’s Camp Warns Buhari by kokogee: 6:30pm On Mar 12, 2011
Jakumo:
The Jos killings are a human tragedy whose potential dimension is frightening to contemplate, Kokogee, particularly as presidential elections draw near for Nigeria.  No observer of the mayhem there could remain unmoved by the Rwanda/Burundi scenario that is unfolding in Jos and its locality.  Similarly, political assassinations by definition subvert the democratic process by eliminating the unwary, in favor of the unscrupulous.

The publicly issued incitement to mob murder recently credited to The Baboon-Dawa of Kutuwenji Village, Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden, must therefore be regarded by the Nigerian security apparatus as having the potential to exacerbate existing tensions and encourage election bloodshed.   As was amply demonstrated in Burundi and Rwanda, verbal incitements to violence can and do trigger all out genocide.  If Buhari's pre-election war-mongering is not addressed by the Nigerian governmet now, it may wind up before the World Court, located in The Hague, Holland - the final stop for many an ex-warlord and embezzler.

Ayatollah Buhari MUST now be held responsible for any and all instances in which assaults, targeted hits, or mob murders are committed by elements of his rent-a-mob entourage, and, if such occurrences warrant the Ayatollah being fitted with handcuffs and hauled in for a spell, the world would be a better place subsequently.

The now infamous speech, in which Ayatollah Buhari urged his gathered lemmings to "lynch" all persons they deemed to have tampered with electoral materials, can now be regarded as sufficient and compelling legal grounds on which to DETAIN and QUESTION Ayatollah Buhari, at the discretion of the intelligence services, subsequent to which the ex-tyrant may need to be housed in a secure state facility for his own protection during the forthcoming presidential polls, which Buhari was destined to lose resoundingly anyway, in time-honored  tradition.
Ur reply clearly shows that u'r really bias; u talked about Jos mayhem in ambiguous manner which nobody really get what u were talking about. I'd repeat my questions which u were not able to address but muddled up everything the PDP way. Pls, respond to the questions one-by-one and the questions are:
1, What has GEJ led PDP gov done or doing to resolve the unrest in Jos?
2, Why did the security personnel failed to arrest Olurin when Amosun was attacked and injured by Olurin and his PDP thugs for campaigning in his(Olurin) village?
3,  Why did SSS not caution Akala or arrest his boys for unleashing terror on the wife and daughter of Olubadan just bcs they did not want poster on the walls of their hose?
4,  Why would T. A. Orji arrange for PDP thugs to disrupt and beat ppl in a debate and nobody is arresting anyone for causing breach of peace and terrorism?
5,  Why should a PDP chieftain go to a school and beat the Head of the sch just bcs his child's phone was seized to prevent him from distracting other pupils and he and the law enforcement agents he used were not arrested and charged for battery?
6, The issue of Buhari instructing ppl to lynch riggers; is it 'implied' or 'express'

Pls, address these questions one-by-one and don't use GEJ style of running away from debate or answering A instead of B.

Thank you

Sm times I wonder why pple loose their brains. But the answer is simply bcs of poverty. The likes of beaf and jakumo would have taken some peanuts from GEJ campaign org for them to be talking rubbish even when the issue is very clear!!!

First, the issue of attack of opponents(Amosun) in ogun, the killing and riot orchestrated by Akala in Oyo, mayhem incited by T.A. Ojgi in Abia, the wife and daughter of Oyo monarch being beaten to comma PDP boys bcs they don't want posters on walls of their house, persistent killings going on in Jos and so are ignored by these beaf, jakumo and the likes. Even, the GEJ gov they represent pretended as if there is no problem anywhere.

The only work that Nigerian security apparatus is being directed at now is the Oppositions like Buhari who simply said ppl should vote and guide their votes, Tinubu that responded to the careless statement by a PDP president, the NPLF leaders for being an opposition, imam arrested for defacing GEJ poster in the north and so on. The question is what is the primary duties of police, SSS and other security agents in this country?

Also, this issue of Buhari growing popularity is already giving GEJ and his devilish mentors and group sleepless night. Even if sb says: kill anu1 that rigs election, I think the only one that should be afraid is that person that is interested in rigging elections.

PDP is a failure; they refuse to sign code of conduct that guides candidates behaviours during elections as prepared by INEC, they also reject every invitation to an open debate. Are these not clear indications that PDP is not ready to abide by the rules of the game as well as have noting to offer the electorates/Nigerians.

NIGERIANS, LET'S START THINKING!!!
