Poster, one way or another,we've all had our fare share of ladies(some) being unnecessarily rude. Especially when u have them as customers, that you have to render coperate services to,they'll like to make you a living hell.
Sometimes have to wave them to their kinds to avoid their troubles. Someone said is a way of resisting domination from the male folks, but i think its just simply being rude.
Right.

Some people take you for a ride and for granted when you tend to always avoid them without setting them straight for once. If you notice, I opened the door twice for her y/day morning and she did not even acknowledge it. Did I say anything then? No.  Even my wife will say 'thank you' to me even though she does not have to.

This morning she chose not to leave the door open for those behind her (including other ladies), I did the same for her and then she had the effontery to run her mouth.

The fact that we tend to avoid trouble does not mean we should let ourselves be walked over like a door mat. Set them straight without getting physical.

. . especially when they are not paying our bills  wink

'because he know the wife will be waiting for him at home.'

How about he gets home and the wife is gone . .with his son?

That should fix it.

EducationRe: Reinvent Fraternities In Nigerian Universities? by kokoye(m): 2:26pm On Sep 23, 2010
I dont see it working in Nigeria. . .except maybe in a private university where all the kids are from relatively comfortable homes.

There is abject poverty in Nigeria - poor students will see your frat boys and feel oppressed. In fact, they will be oppressed.

And that is how trouble starts.

Your frat will then need to recruit some of these poor thugs for protection . . and so on and so forth.

Really did not care.  Just felt she had to hear it.

I dont even know her from Adam. . .and i'm sure she's at least 10yrs younger than me.

I dont take any joy in hurting others.

But then, I will treat you like a lady only if you behave like one.
Nairaland GeneralSkinny B.itch! by kokoye(op): 1:27pm On Sep 23, 2010
I left the door open for her twice yesterday but she did not acknowledge it or bother to say thank you.

I saw her this morning again: she was right in front of me and shut the door right after her even though a few of us were right behind her.

So I walked past her (you know how some ladies walk so everyone will notice them) and of course, I did not leave the door open for her this time.

She goes ' That's not how to treat a lady'

My response 'You are not a lady'

She said "How rude"

. .and I mutter 'Skinny b.itch' enough to make her hear it. Just her grin

Then all hell broke loose. She went ranting and ranting and really looked like a b.itch cos everyone in the lobby wondered what her problem was.

Lady indeed!

If you do not live in Nigeria at the moment, I will advice you to reserve your comments and just observe. . . for your own good.

Or else this thread will quickly turn into a war of insults.

just my two cents.

But I know for sure it was the look on his face that made me focus more on the subject. He looked really sad.

To be honest, I am not surprised AT ALL. Back in the 90s with his Primetime Jamz, that's ALL him and D1 ever talked about.
But that was at least 10 years ago.

Obviously he has not matured at all since then.  How old is he now?

we see too much of parent transferring their prejudices, hatreds etal to their kids - and it has NOTHING to do with love.

whatever my parents did, they did out of love. Even though the actions may not have been the best at the time. My parents were over-protective to a fault, did not want my sisters marrying from some specific tribes. But guess what, who wouldnt be over-protective, after losing their first child at the age of 9? We all kind of grew up feeling paranoid until I started changing their mind-set about the need to think positive.

My dad would say something mean or beat me up for doing something wrong but the next day he'll buy be a soccer ball or a toy gun  . .or whatever he felt I really wanted. Now that is love. I remember when I passed my common entrance exam back in the 80s - there was a brand new grifter bicycle and guitar waiting for me at home - my dad's joy was unimaginable. He actually kissed me!  cheesy

Thank God I have grown up to be the man - my parents get my approval before they do ANYTHING.

And I am now wise and expose enough to avoid their mistakes while bringing up my kids, at the same time showing them the love that my parents showed me. My parents have watched me hanging out with my son and they are proud.

You can all see the problems our silly culture and traditions have created and continue to.

You want to affect your child's mental faculty because some culture said he is abnormal.

My parents tried to change me from left to right when I was young ( despite the fact that my caucasian teacher said not to) and it affected me for a while.

It is high time we start saying NO to all these silly cultural beliefs and superstitions. My son is also a leftie and he rocks!

Our lives and country will be better for it.
