I'll tell her to turn the other cheek. Isnt that what Jesus said ![]() . . . . . . ![]() |
good thing she left you. it would have been a disaster if you guys had gone all the way. Next time, please dont take the blame when you are not guilty. . that's being a punk and people will take you for granted. Nxt time, be firm while being a gentleman at the sametime. . . ladies kinda find that attractive ![]() Stay strong, be true to yourself and the person you deserve will find you out. |
take a pee in the middle of a crowded street or party. better still, take a dung ![]() |
^^^ Your kind of reality is not good for her at this time. She is happily married with two kids to a loving Nigerian man. She is already in it - Pray and hope for her. Save your advice for single ladies looking for Nigerian men to marry . . since according to you, every Nigerian man dating a foreigner is now a suspect. Way to go in improving our image abroad. |
tshepiso, pls dont let these posters derail your love for your husband and family. God bless your union. |
googles: ![]() But why?? |
^^^ thank you. |
samoks:I was actually about to go off on you again before your last post. The fact that I understand yoruba jokes better does not make the movies better. All movies are good in their own way. And actually it is the english speaking movies that made nollywood more popular globally because of the language used. So I can not attribute the global awareness to Yoruba movies. Of course not. I really just want us to appreciate our own. period. Instead of running them down but still watching them on youtube. Samoks, it takes a big man to do what you just did. We are cool. Peace and love. |
samoks:I wonder who died and made you king. The fact that I said I prefer yoruba movies is because I watch Naija movies to laugh and so I understand yoruba jokes better. So pls stop the tribalistic rant . . .I paid for and own a lot of english speaking Nigerian movies as well . . and I guess what? I have seen them all. I love all those artists you mentioned and read about them everyday But . . . what is wrong with me having a preference? Must we go tribal in everything I guess it makes you feel better about yourselfIf it will make your tribalistic self feel better, my wife is not yoruba, she is not hausa but still a Nigerian. Go figure ![]() |
In the midst of all the local hate, discouragement, abuses, zero power supply, piracy, lack of patronage by its own people, low wages, fraudulent marketers, etc. The Nigerian movie industry is still thriving. And whether you like it or not, the world knows about it. These guys are working their butts of to earn a living . .can you encourage them? I watch yoruba movies everyday. . .it keeps me sane and laughing because I am able to relate to the jokes. I honestly dont like english speaking Naija movies cos the storylines are predictable and therefore boring to me. But I wont kill them for it. Why dont you ask this question : Is the Nigerian movie industry movie forward or backward?? You dont have to like it or watch it, but consider all the things that these guys have to deal with and what they have been able to achieve. Can we please appreciate and encourage our own . . for once?? |
^^^ So the payments around there are indirectly encouraging the kidnappings going on. ![]() |
Go and get married. Then plan ahead with your wife. . . that incomes are better than one when managed well. Dont wait till you are 40 or a billionaire b4 you get married . . not the best move. You will 'settle' and never really know who truly loves you. In my opinion, it is always better to 'grow' with your spouse. |

A word of advice - you are now in the jungle. There's no police or law to watch over you as a female. Even as a guy, I do not stay out late whenever I am in Nigeria. I dont know about abuja, but in Lagos, if you are out late on the island . . you stay there! That way you can stay out all night on the island but you dont leave until it is daylight again. There is no such thing as 'grown' in Nigeria so your parents are after your safety. It has nothing to do with you being a female. When you get your own apt., then you can decide what you wanna do . . but the rules still generally hold - for ur own safety |
^^^ O gba eti yen gbe, She got away with it. . . she will do it again. |
^^^ Please let us in on it . . what are some of the things they do? ![]() |
My handwriting has gone from bad to terrible. I blame it on the computer ![]() |
Dolemite:Thief. You wan steal her pictures ![]() |
^^^^ true. ![]() That's what the AM radio tells them . . and that's what they want to believe anyways |
Most of us who grew up in Africa were raised in a situation in which the male is the 'provider'. At times it is actually the female but most people do not know depending on how the couple carry themselves. My mom made more than my dad back in the 80s but it was not obvious. . . we really did not care our needs were met without arguments. This is why it can be hard for both husband and wife when the tables are turned. I remember an Oprah show where the wife (white, southern) left the man with her three kids simly because he lost his job and couldnt provide for the family anymore. The woman said she was raised to believe the man should be the provider . .she couldnt handle it when the husband could not anymore. So, it is not just a black thing. Some whites think that way as well. |
Ujujoan:I hope so. Really dont want to find out though ![]() Although she 'gives' me everything, she has full access. She just chooses not to touch some of them because it is for our future and so it is our piggy bank. ____________ |
Creamish, all those guys you mentioned . .did they grow up in African and under the African sun? Have they ever been cast as slaves in movies? Sorry but you cannot compare because they did not grow up under the same circumstances. You would be surprised how many Nigeiran villagers will look good after spending a few yrs in the western world. |
^^^ True, no one prays for this kinda story but if it happens, stuff happens. Life goes on. That is why it is important to choose your spouse carefully. How will he/she react when the table is turned? |
^^^ 'Adigun' is not a Nigerian, I guess. |
^^^ The title of this thread does not say anything about her being 17 . . .and this competition has nothing to do with age. You got your own issues ![]() |
^^^ Yes I did. check the part where I said it all comes down to trust and understanding. This means yes I will be comfortable with it . .since we both have the same goal. . . when she her job back, she decided on her own to put her money into my account and still asks me before she does anything with it. So again, Yes I wont mind . . I have been blessed with a good woman. But again, that is just me. ![]() |
