Are you sure...
What you're doing is called 'adding to a loosing trade'. It's a recipe for regrets and disaster. It's practically your emotions pushing you
Perhaps your thinking would be by the time the price bounces, you'd break even quicker... No be so oooo

Boss is it still safe to enter xlm...my stop-loss exit me when it went to 0.30.

I no be big man o...I just share thoughts and opinions which are a good number of times wrong also sometimes right. I'm more of a slower trader as I get burnt when I try to play fast. I shared my thoughts on a trade above and numerous thoughts on some coins here

Lots of people share their thoughts too and you can filter what resonates with you and action it. With time, you would get what works for you.. we are all learning

Where are we putting money next please.... Link, aave or I should drop it in eth.

I need to learn how to pick an entry point

my sister, there is time to be patient and time to take profit... A coin has done over 100% in a week and 50% in a day.. Haba

It would still rise eventually. But now, I'm more interested in a good exit and perhaps to reload around 0.5 in the coming days/weeks

I dey always suspect people that say reload after coin don dump. I fear they are the people that got bunt and looking for who to pay.

you and this did you dirty... finally, it was a big loss..
At over 50% pump in 24hrs, a rinse was going to happen sooner or later... At that time, the risk on xrp was more than xlm and also the potential reward. If anything, you should have moved profits the opposite way from xrp to xlm... You're playing this market wrong... Try and think against the average trader. You move profits from a pumped coin to an unpumped coin if the market is still lagging. If the market is green, then na fiat better pass.
My entry on xlm averaged between 0.295 and 0.34 as I had been buying for somedays. I wasn't going to add once it crosses 0.36.. Even with the dump, its still at 0.33 cos it didn't really pump.. Either way, I'm still holding it for a while as I believe it may follow if xrp settles..

Betece has to respect itself

Thanks boss.

Seriously learning....I will henceforth keep emotions on check. Then, moving profit on the opposite as suggested.

Abeg help us they post your exit point. Some of us are still leaning.

Though, now, what I do is to keep moving my stop-loss as I shift profit maker upward..in that way I can only loose small part of profit.

Now that was a proper dump... Had my limit sell sitting at 0.79 but whales no gree and front ran that level... Seems a lot of sell orders were at 0.8 ish
Went on twitter and saw folks posting leveraged profit of over 500% on xrp... na em I know say rinsing is on the way.

Either way, the battle line has been drawn... na to formulate exit pathway from 0.64... Whales that haven't dumped would be looking for who to give their bags.

Choi.. this market is brutal

As in my brother.....eye red brotherly.

Great inputs

Which wallet do you use for conversion to other coins ?

Binance is just the best for me for now.

Don't use conversion ooo....use the spot Option where you have all the limits, the fees are very low.

I started crypto 2weeks ago.... I don learn in hard ways

Please don't go in ow.. It's like chasing a pump...

Coyns like xlm, link, Eth and Zil should be a good bet.
Alternatively, you can keep profits

Golden advice.

I kept learning by getting burn.... don't be a goat like me please.

Everything left from my 350usd after DOGE did me dirty was 151usd yesterday.

Today I moved 75% to XRP using OCO I hit 193usd. Then that goat spirit entered me. I went to the remaining 25% in xlm liquidate it to usdt and from USDT to xrp for faster profit.

Unknowingly while on that, my stop loss on xrp have activated and sold all my xrp with balance in USDT.

I blindly placed buy for XRP with 100% of my USDT..not knowing 100% is now inclusive of my stop loss.

I lost 10usd instantly....I started looking for entry again. I lost another 10usd in doing that.

Guys be careful....set target and stick to it.

Don't be a goat like me

Can someone explain OCO "One Cancel the Other" on Binance in a lay man language for me.

I don't want to believe I have that option and lost so much in a DOGE pump. Using. mouse to chase price up and down.

An update on this;
Split profits in 3 ways
Yesterday, I cycled into atom (@8.1). Didn't get into Band as I have a good stack already. Added some sxp as I was confident it held the 1.2 level.
Got bids between zil at 0.72 and 0.7.

Good thing, those coins are showing strength todays

For the remaining uni stack, I'd sell most today, cycle it into eith and leave the rest as fiat

I wouldn't lie, all I want is to make my loss back. I'm prepared to play very safe. I now understand the more you chase prices jumping up and down, the more your loss. DOGE did me dirty and I'm not happy.

However, I'm not prepared to loss more. I just want coins with potential that I can wait on....I will rather wait 3-months to make money than lost money in 1-6days.

I've not been able to identify potentials and at what price to enter and profit limit possible. I don't want to set big profit target and end up not getting a bite.

I currently have DOGE bought at 0.035....I planned to leave it till it climb back to .065..I don't know when that will happen but I can wait.

I bought Stellar at 0.31...i'm also prepare to wait.

I have no idea where to set my profit limit not to be over ambitious.

Gurus Kindly help.

For those asking,

These are pairs I followed this run...

I'm definitely not in all of them as thats a recipe for disaster. Most are good projects. Apart from atom, I haven't added any in over a month.

I like to focus on about 5 strong ones and allocate a small percentage of my portfolio on some of the rest

I can guagr the best performers and those lagging e.t.c. know which ones who have held structure on a dip and know where to add.

Henceforth, I'm going to use a strategy to buy at the lowest price but the problem is knowing when they are at the lowest price

No one can say what betece would do in the immediate future. Thats a fact! Dont waste your time looking for signals.

First, you have to open a Tradingview or similar account. There you can load up indicators such as RSI, MA e.t.c.
No indicator is certain and all have their variables. The more indicators you use on a chart, the more variables you introduce amd hence difficulty in analysis. Nothing beats simplicity. Keep it simple.

Experience and learning from it is key... Learn from past mistakes, if possible write them down and you'd get better with time.
You can't get rich in this space by blindly following someone's trades. Most money I made was on opportunities I saw that very few were talking about. In tgis space, I'm more comfortable with a trade when most thibk it wouldn't work out than when most think it would.

For YouTube channels, i found these useful
One by Bitcoin jack
Crypt0 crew university
Benjamin cowen

There are lots of analysts and they don't usually agree. When they agree on a trade, the market does the opposite. that's why its good for you to know your stuff.
You have to master your emotions, trade against them so as to master that of others. In that way, profits are made

You guys are just the best. Thank you for the wisdom

Please I notice you guys trade with /USD
my friend to registered me trade with BTC pair - Doge/BTC.
I'm confused, what's the difference?

You can trade with whichever coin you wish. I believe is a matter of choice and insight. The believe in stability of coin is one of the major reason. USDT/USDC are very stable that's why people use them. For BTC, lot of people are trading/converting to it because of the value and expectations on it.

Lol... Not come across that...but there are some trading bots...never used any

but then, how would you know when there's a downtrend... Even in an uptrend, there are always mini pullbacks here nd there.

Then, I feel the purpose of using Stop-limit to reduce your lost is defeated, if price never reach your Stop-limit.

I'm thinking... With the doge pump and subsequent microcap pump, I'm looking at two variables...
1. We're approaching a change in the trend of the market where money flows back to fiat/betece. For micros to pump, money should have flowed from betece, to majors (remember eith) down to them.

2. We're on the cusp of a major alt run.

I lean more towards the second given that alts have barely had a month to run compared to several months betece had.... If altys are to run, I expect eith to lead the way.
First and foremost, betece needs to hold the 33k-34k level as support before anything has a sensible run. It seems primed to do this

I totally agree with you, I believe BTC will finally hold at that level.

Abeg ooo... I'm still learning...
I shared my mistake with doge in taking profits too early... Yesterday, I got 35% early on... Was looking for a re-entry which I missed... It went on to do 500% after that. Funny enough, I didn't feel anything. Before, I'd be so mad with myself. 35% was good on a small chunk.

I moved some of the profits into xlm. Got in with a smaller sum at 0.03, took some profits around 0.06 ish.... Still have a small chunk left which I'm not even bothered what it dose. I'd dispose it today..

That said, taking a second look at the hourly chart, a symmetrical triangle is forming.... Did a small trendline on my phone...
My plan would be simple... If it breaks to the upside, and confirms, I'd aim for around the higher values we got yesterday to exit. If it breaks to the downside, I cut.
It's resolution seems close... Let's see what the next 2 hours bring

Nice one.

Quick question...do we have something better than a stop-limit that allows you to take profit at higher profits but never missed the limit point. Eg. I envisage a limit point of 50 but I will be able to take profit at any level above immediately there's downward trend?

I'm not happy the way some people view this space.
It's not quick money. You take it that way, you get burnt.

There's a reason I advised new folks to keep off day trading. By the time you understand what you're doing, half of your portfolio is gone.
If you've not witnessed a proper bear market and traded it successfully, you have no business day trading.

We're in a bullrun and new folks are rushing in with their money. It's very easy to say how 95% of new folks in this space will react to PA. We were all new once.
This market does not reward the obvious. To profit, you have to seek opportunities before they become obvious. When they become obvious, you focus on where to take profits. Alot of folks made tremendous money on doge yesterday. That profit did not fall from the sky. It came from inexperienced folks who bought their bags at high prices and are now stuck.

The market shows no mercy. Never forget that.
I keep mentioning betece and eith here but newer folks think they're boring and are more interested in 'shiny' stuff despite the fact we all know betece and eith will outperform those by far in the long run.
Have you ever asked yourself where the profits made in smaller caps come from?
When they pump, it usually signifies a turn in the market either back to betece or fiat. 1000 betece can easily pump most small caps... When it starts pumping, newbies run in and are dumped on.

A month ago, most people chasing alts now would have been buying betece at 40k and screaming alts are dead. This market does not reward the obvious

For those still in doge, it still holding the 21ema on the hourly. We saw what happened when it lost that of the 15min yesterday.

There's decreasing volume which is not the best...
In summary, it angling for small move up. IMO, anything between 0.063- 0.87 is a take profit zone

Thank you

Hmmm.... To profit from a market, you have to understand how it works and why prices move.
Most shorterm prices and patterns are driven by human emotions and those emotions would continue to remain that way. Just imagine putting sugar for ants and how they'd behave.

If your emotions are not in check, you will 100% lose money day trading or swing trading anything.

From what you said, it's obvious that you kept buying more as the prices went higher. Lesson here, should have been the opposite

You are obviously very experienced and very intelligent. I pray new guyz in this forum never experienced what I experienced yesterday/today. If you will be wise, learn from me. Just as mentioned, I pull all my savings Eth, BTC and fiat in yesterday and got bunt. I truly did made good profit but greed and fatigue made me loss. I wouldn't have lost if I didn't overworked myself and nature/sleep stepped in. I thank God for the lesson learnt.

Jedisco I owed you a bottle of wine.

Thank you for the guidance

If you've lost so much, then you should take a break. If not you go revenge trading and lose more. It's your emotions pushing.

That's the reason why it's advisable as a trader to have a seperate non tradable account. With the bull run, you'd have lots of such rug pulls. If care is not taken, you may be heavily down in cash even if betece gets to 60k.

If you're looking for what to buy, go with betece or eith... It makes you ser the big picture

Golden advice.... I've not been myself today. I've always been a fan of Eth, I was actually making Eth my savings account.... yesterday I emptied it to Doge and this happens. Just that I don't want to go in when it's high again.

Thank you. I've spent my day doing Revenge trading and kept going deeper and deeper.

Before I tell you, 3 facts...
1. Your account would can get wiped up if you bet on the wrong side i.e a move up or down. That may be your sweat of several years. It's called liquidation

2. The market usually moves to wipe off mist trades

3. Over 60% of traders are liquidated within 3 months of trading leverage...

Do you still want to know?
