If you have a job please don't bring bad fortune on yourself by claiming to be unemployed.

3) Write a short story here ( not more than 250 words) titled " An event in my childhood that impacted me greatly"
Please make sure to edit your spellings and get your tenses right,no bad English please,it will affect the decision.

4) You must also tell us at the beginning of your story what university,polytechnic or college of education you graduated from and what course you studied,with a picture of your certificate as an attachment to your short story.( please cover your name)

On a cool evening after lectures, I followed the back gate with my friends and we were going towards azikiwe. Just before the gate, we saw a nigga sitting in the field and we all knew he is a nigga because odin is working in him.

I almost pee on my clothes, then he dragged me down to where some other niggas were sitting, by this time my friends have took to their heels.

I was quite, I just felt like the ground should open and swallow me. Then he comes close to me.

Deciding to live,school or have babies outside your homeland does not translate to hatred for your homeland.
yes I agree America or UK and the west In general has a lure for many people ,not just Nigerians,it doesn't mean they hate their homelands.
The number of Asians especially Indians and Chinese/ Korean would outnumber the Nigerians in the west tremendously and they move out here with every member of their families including their grandmothers but still proud of their heritage and country of birth.

I remember you writing that you grew up in Lagos,does that mean you hated Igboland?

Your parents probably worked or ran a business in Lagos so you lived in Lagos and visited the East
Mine worked and ran their business in Igboland,so I lived in Igboland and visited Lagos
The problems many people have with Nigeria include the corruption,instability,bad healthcare,bad education systems.A woman giving birth in the UK or the USA has almost guaranteed chance of surviving the childbirth,it is not so in Nigeria.
Moreover an American citizenship confers one an advantage that a NigeLrian citizenship wouldn't so that makes it desirable.

In the 80s when the naira was stronger than the dollar,hardly anyone went to the USA to have their children
Very few went to the UK for childbirth or aspired to.people were not running away from Nigeria
Infact people who travelled out to study returned at the end of their studies to take up jobs in Nigeria.

Degrees from Nigeria outside of Nigeria are near worthless but a degree from the west,is coveted all over the world including in Nigeria.
A masters degree from the UK even if from one of those polytechnics turned university in London is preferred to one from UNILAG.

In a nutshell Nigeria has issues but many of us still love it dearly and proudly so
Personally if insecurity and lack of law enforcement wasn't an issue, and life was generally less stressful myself and many people I know wouldn't spend a day longer here.
There is no place like home.
I carry an American passport and love America but I will always be a Nigerian
I may not like what it has become but I love my country.

She sent a message to one of her BF that she had successfully removed the pregnancy and she is at home resting... haaaaaaa, i wan die that night, i couldnt sleep, i took the courage to confront her and she started crying, begging me for forgiveness, i forgave her but let her out the next day, two days later i went home to lag and my dad's condition worsened before we could say "jack" the guy lost his life without him being happy with me[/b]

Each time I read across this forum and see the way ladies are abused here I begin to wonder how girls are coping in Nigeria. It's either this forum is full of broke people or really very sad dudes. How can someone who sent a mere N4,000 to a girl be lamenting as though someone died?. How more stingy can you get as a man?. Inasmuch as I don't subscribe to election rigging, civil disobedience is never a decent way to reclaim mandate. The government, inec and police must do all they can to ensure a free, fair and credible election so as to avoid breakdown of law and order.
