onatisi: stop comparing the items of item prices in 2 countries to judge the standard of living, items are very very expensive in Tokyo than usa, does that mean america is better than Japan? If the people are getting the money to buy goods and services with ease then I don't think such a place is bad The comparison is so cos they don't have what it takes to maintain a standard of such living |

onatisi: but one thing I have come to realize is that it isn't about where you are that matters but who you are and what you are A plate of rice that will not satisfy u will cost u about 5GH which is over 600naira. Bottle water that they sell for 50naira here is about 1GH 1p. Which is over 130naira. If u now move down to villages like Nkwakwa, Abetifi , etc...u will just die of HBP... |

I dont want to sound pessimistic about the guy moving to Ghana ,but I think it is advisable he goes to Ghana for a week before moving and of which I am sure he will change his mind. I am off to my politics section Good one. That country is nor economic friendly at all. |

mightyhazell: Simple diplomacy would hav averted all dese!
When jonathan won elections,he not only brought evrybody together as a father,...he went ahead and started favouring the north in almost evth. Wich eventually earned him a v unenviable spot among his kinsmen, for favoring the north to their detriment! Personally I think he over did it!
Buhari won elections and on his first visit 2 usa,he told the world how he has segregated the nation to 5% and 97%. And not only mouthing this, all his actions started reflecting it immediately,..from appointing only core northeners in2 positions tht matter,to terminating contracts and programmes put in place 4 the nigerdeltans (whose region lay the golden eggs of our collective survival) by previous governments etc,...
Imagine if buhari had not terminated all dese, including projects like the maritime institute,..and instead started some mega projects in the region,..I can imagine the kind of peace and support he would hav by now be gettin from dere. As am sure southerners are not like core northerners that once they hate u,no matter how much things u do 4 dem,dey cannever be appeased,as in jonas case. Buhari and indeed nigerians wud av been enjoying massive tranquility by now,..my thots tho* Making sense. But would the stupid illiterate old man think towards that? No. All he thinks is WAR. How many issues in this world have violence resolved. He has the Army, Army that have not been able to calm the boko haram problems , now this. I no he will not succeed anyway. |

GenoMI: Of course I can't do it all alone, and it's soo easy to stay on the 'other side' and complain about the problems with this country (that used to be my modus operandi, I was a master complainer )
But if we ALL continue complaining without doing what we can as our own little contribution, then the situation will unfortunately remain the same.
"These organisations shud partner with the NUC." - Have you approached any organisations? Have you approached the NUC? It sounds like you feel very strongly about the issue, so I would encourage you to also take action. We are lucky to be in this internet age where social media has made it soo easy to get our voices heard around the globe.
I will carry on doing my own little part, and I hope other Nigerians who are as worried as I am about the way things are, will stand up to be counted, and be an active part of the change our country so desperately needs
And as Michael Jackson captured in his great song..'I'm starting with the (wo)man in the mirror' My dear I appreciate what ur doing. But make we no go too far sha. |
