Chris Houghton will be confirmed as the new Ghana coach. For me the best man for job.
Apart from his football credentials and undoubted knowledge and experential competencies. I have never ever met a more honest and righteous man in football. Add to that his humility leaves me speechless.
Ages ago l wanted him to be Nigerian coach, and l said it maybe problematic because he will never compromise his integrity for the NFF.
What does that mean, beating Ghana was never going to be easy. But with Chris at the helm of affairs it just got even much harder.
Chris has the integrity and influence to bring to Ghana, Hudson -Odio, Lamptey and Salisu and a few other from the English premier League.

Karlovich: This is very disgraceful, SMH. That's because he went to university and there is some records of his sports achievement at university games. It's shameful because he has been CAUGHT, think about those who were not CAUGHT and never will be CAUGHT. Most of our over age player's adopt new names that make it impossible to trace thier past history. |

Osaze Emenike VicMo Ighalo
Since then....... It's on this forum that Ighalo had been denigrated and dismissed. A player who is doing better than Aboubakar in the same league. Considering in my opinion Aboubakar is the STAND OUT player in this AFCON 2022 |

Chuks should not even be mentioned at all due to his poor performance at the AFCON..
Amoo and Lookman don't play the same position so no one should be comparing both of them... Yes I agree with you without question. One is playing and doing very well in the best league in the world in his second season. And the other is just starting to see if he will play in a league rated 20 in Europe. Obviously no comparison at all. |

drDoom3: They lost all their games except one which they drew while he was at the AFCON. That is the difference between an impact player and a squad player. Same with Osimhen, Napoli struggled to win games in the league while he was out injured. If you want to know a star player, look at his club's performance in his absence. Why do you have to misrepresent the facts essentially tell lies, what are you trying to prove. Napoli lost to Inter Milan 3-2, Victors last game in Seria A on the 21st November before he got injured, the next Seria A game was against Lazio the won that game 4 -0. Prior to Victor Osimhen injury who was the highest goal scorer in the team ❓ By all means big up your favourite player but do it without misrepresentation.

Meliforme: It is a player like Kelechi Nwakali that makes a team tick. He is like a glue that holds a team at the center.
It is not just myopic, it is foolish to talk down on what a Nwakali can bring. It is so evident that we need his abilities.
If you have any problem with his attitude, say it. Don't berate his skill and contribution. It seems you are the only one with eyes After seven years in Europe , nobody could see what you are seeing. Wenger did not see it , all the coaches in the Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie as well as at Porto B and then in the Segunda, none of these qualified and experienced coaches could not see ANYTHING. His coach at Huesca rates him so highly he is the second to the last lowest paid player in the team. Add to that after playing in Segunda for two seasons nobody bought him. If nobody else can see something apart from one person , it means the other person is BLIND he just doesn't know it. |

Daninya33: Who is a playmaker?
A playmaker is typically the player who, with their acute vision, awareness of the game, passing skills, technique and ability to read the game sets the tone of the attacking play. Keen passing skills in order to orchestrate the flow of play are crucial – playmakers are often seen as the 'puppeteers' of the team.
Notable No.10s include Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard, Johann Cruyff (though he wore 14 for the Netherlands) and Pele.
I ask forumites,Who do you think can orchestrate our midfield from the game against Ghana going forward? I think the days of having a playmaker are essentially over, football has moved on. Players play multiple roles and are not pigeon holed in to just one position. What we need is HARD WORKING quality Midfielders. Not pretender's, how can you be playing in midfield and you do not track back, intercept, tackle and drive forward non stop for 90 minutes. No manager will sign such a player in any top team. Have you seen Bissouma of Brighton and Hove look at his work rate but what caps it ,is his ability to go from defensive to offensive in one move. No wonder everybody wants him. |

Daninya33: He now has the platform to invite Amoo for the double headed qualifier against Ghana. If I no see Amoo for the squad list,e mean say Eguaveon doesn't rate the lad highly. I hope he also gives Adeleye Adebayo and Sebiastan Osigwe their chances too in the goal keeping department. It seems you are making your deduction on YouTube video clips, I will tell you for outfield players that approach is fraught with all kinds of problems. Amoo was playing in the Swedish league rated 23 in Europe he has now gone to FC Copenhagen Denmark league rated 19 in Europe. He was very good in that Swedish league but it doesn't always translate that he will perform at a more competitive league. He needs to prove himself first and preferably in a better league. So he is showing potential let's see. It's too early for a SE call up. |

drDoom3: We scored only two group stage goals, Ighalo had one well taken chance.
By the way, the reason I am bashing Ighalo is that reports from camp were that Osimhen was our best striker in training, but kept getting benched because of Rohr's favoritism for Ighalo. Looking at Osimhen's form immediately after that AFCON, you can only wonder how many more goals we would have scored if he was given a chance. Your sources are very wrong. In training Osimhen was getting bullied and dominated and couldn't cope with the Physicality. Ighalo was dominating him clearly in training. Rohr even said at the time he was too lightweight. Indeed his first game in the AFCON 2019 for third place he was very poor. |

Fulham had brought him in from PSG at about the age of 15/16. He was head and shoulders above everybody at the time . When he wanted to leave Fulham he had numerous EPL clubs trying to sign him. But he chose Celtic. At one stage Chelsea put in a bid for £50million and he decided to stay at Celtic and develop. He was outstanding in French league one and has been a consistent top goal scorer throughout his career. Until he went to Athletico Madrid, a very defensive side that l don't think plays to his strengths. Are you really calling him a Carpenter ❓ |
