TheGoodJoe:Should we therefore ,which I think is a good idea give more opportunity to player's who are outstanding in the Local league. Not just goalkeepers , but for all positions. It's not like most of our players are playing for elite clubs and in elite leagues. So why not. |
Mujtahida:For your information below Okonkwo and Ovie both at Arsenal , Ovie is with the U23 and Okonkwo is now reserve first team goalkeeper. How good are they, l really cannot say, beyond that to play for Arsenal you will have to have some good level of Quality.
|
TheGoodJoe:I was talking about our practice of enthroning mediocrity in general. Maduka is the best goal keeper in the squad IMO. I have always said his club form is the best among all the keeper's we have in the squad. With regards to him being the best keeper available to us I really do not know. The goalkeeper department is a solitary one and it seems quite plausible that there must be some good quality goal keepers from the NPFL. |
post=109691808:Sammy Okpose did not CHEAT. The term CHEATING does not have a Biblical reference point. Particularly, as the basis for your indignation is from a supposed Christian in perspective. There are two sins in the context of sexual impropriety. Which are Fornication which is sexual relationship with a female who is not your wife or exclusive preserve (Concubine). And Adultery vwhich is sex with the wife of another man. After the imposition of Roman political, Social economic and religious rulership in Jerusalem. There was the apostasy of the Church and the departure from servant collective leadership ( The plurality of Eldership) to the Pyramid hierarchy structure of be Bishops ( Roman Catholic religious politics rulership) We then moved to the White Washing of the Bible creating a schism in perception, which allowed for the imposition of Eurocentric based cultural norms and practices. Biblical Marriage is not a partnership but Leadership by men. Many have abrogated this responsibility in the name of misguided modernity. The wedding ceremony is not Biblical it's cultural adoption. And not based on scripture but culture and the vows therein not scriptural and therefore not binding. Therefore if it's not scriptural then it's not tenable. The word of God is absolutely infallible. God is the same yesterday today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 Numbers 23:19 NKJV “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good Men and women are not the same in the Bible and are not equal. That's a Biblical FACT. The Bible in it's entirety is patriarchal and is an affront to modern day idealogy. David a man after God's heart, had how many WIVES and CONCUBINES❓ yes this is true. God even through the Prophet says, I would have given you more if you wanted. Abraham a friend of God how many WIVES and CONCUBINES ❓❓ Luke 16:17-18 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. 18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery I see no reason why he should be told to even step down and or pay penance. As some are saying, he did not commit adultery or Fornication and if this Woman is his exclusive preserve then she is a Biblical defined Concubine. From my personal perspective I do prefer one man one wife and have no desire for a concubine because the other option is is fraught with many issues and l am not wise enough to take that option. Finally God's chosen one is lsrael ,who was birthed from two wives and two concubines. Let's be careful with what we think is God's will it may be sincere ignorance. |
Stormtrooper11:Supporting Mediocrity is part of the Nigerian DNA. I don't think you can do away with it just limit it hopefully. At every level loyalty, Godfatherism, Nepotism and favouritism pervade every aspect of life. This in itself enthrones mediocrity. |
Joezinho:Bruv U deh talk deh matter like say na micro economics. Look it's not a question of who is corrupt from the Judiciary, Legislative , Executive from gate keeper to President but WHO IS NOT.❓❓ |
Danielnino00:Las las Amaju na deals man and politician, I first knew him when he was Chair of Warri Wolves and sport's something Delta state. Then EEE head neva swell up , now enough £££+ $$$+€€€ enter hand, now my number no deh go through AGAIN. Ha ha Naija levels change . You are right everything will be done but can a Leopard change its spots. |
Interesting comments by Yeboah , add that to the comments of Salisu about being asked to pay bribe before playing for Ghana. Add the further comments made by Mbappe Father about Cameroon asking for Bribe. Now consider our coaches Salisu and SiaSia and both indicted for corruption. But welcomed back to the NFF as if nothing happened. Then looking at this journey man coach we have contacted. Then add my first hand comments about a certain bullish coach asking Some Aluko must change his agent to his preferred agent before he can play for the SE . Does anybody think that the NFF is corruption free ? and if not then what role has corruption played in our early exit from this tournament prior and after.

Danielnino00:The NFF contracts hungry coaches with dubious CV's that will play game with them. That means a big % of their salary will go to someone that's in the NFF in the first instance. He will be amiable to them NFF putting in their favoured player's in his team selection. Finally, a coach that they can manipulate and or enforce their decisions upon. Glen Hoddle is absolutely not hungry and has a very impressive CV. But you and everyone knows he will not be dominated or told what to do by the NFF. No deals no untoward business. NFF asked for half his salary he told them where to go. It's obvious ,the NFF are just like our Nigerian politicians, appointment is made not on competence but loyalty and willingness to do anything he who appoints you wants. |
BascoVanVeli:Agreed without question |
andrewbaba44:This is the mindless emotive OTT we do with our players and when they don't perform we murder them in cold blood with our derogatory comments. Osimhen is not better than Cavani in the here and now. |
drDoom3:Cavani is better than Osimhen . |
drDoom3:Football is no longer so rigid. Dennis is a forward player who plays as a striker for Watford. |
Mousup40:And so many shots went in Or were they saved.Absolutely first goal was a basic goal keeping error, entirely inexcusable. But the game was lost from the first minute, because we started with no drive and purpose no tactical strategy , we were languid and lacklustre and particularly in midfield clueless. Every thing else was an outcome delivery of our slow poke no drive and no purpose START. |
andrewbaba44:Very simple 90% of the time players who leave the Bundesliga find it very difficult to replicate that same form in the EPL. You can ask Timo Werner, Havertz, etc Sometimes players have certain attributes that have not been utilised properly and positioned fit best advantage and a different good quality coach sees that and enhances those attributes and the player develops rapidly. That's what Ranieri had done for Dennis. In addition players unable to have dominance in the EPL seem to do a lot better from the EPL even Championship in the Bundesliga. Finally, look at his goals and his skill set will not give him competitive edge in the EPL. If you compare his goals to Osimhen goals and or Ighalo you will see what I mean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkvC9jCzTH0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhszHGBsnSk https://youtu.be/pVcDbFMtKyIt |
12large1:Key component in of any Midfield is " WORK RATE" both on the ball and off the ball, closing down the space and backtracking , tackles and interceptions and then your end product. That's where you can build from. Some players in the team have no work rate in midfield. KC and Nwakali |
TheGoodJoe:The Retrogressive says , no change let's remain the same and never progresses. Omeruo was hoofing the ball most times he was not poor. But the progressive question is can we do better in this case can Ajayi do better ❓ When it comes to Aerial dominance Ajayi beats Omeruo completely, when it comes to set pieces where a header can win you a goal Ajayi wins. When it comes to Physicality Ajayi wins, Who is better technically undoubtedly Ajayi, so what is Omeruo better than him at Who is faster Ajayi or Omeruo,? A reminder at one stage Ajayi had the highest number of headed goals in the EPL for a defender. |
forgiveness:I know that you know and will say so , do you think if Awoniyi was in the EPL he would have scored 9 Goals ❓❓. I don't at all. To score in the EPL is much much harder than the Bundesliga. And in that context I rate , Dennis as the most in form striker in Nigeria in the HERE and NOW. |
drDoom3:Awoniyi is better than Sadiq but none of them are better than Ighalo, Victor and or Dennis. If any of these players were playing it would have been different. |
drDoom3:I disagree , Probably the lowest ranked player in the squad is Nwakali, playing for Huesca in the Segunda Division. He selected him over and above proven and tested EPL players in the midfield like Iwobi and Onyeka. |
forgiveness:We go over the top . Osimhen is very good but he is not a world class striker. He has come back from a very serious injury how will it affect his game❓ Osimhen is a very direct fast and determined striker he has very good positioning , ultimately aggressive and with fearlessness , has blistering pace and good finishing and has aerial ability too. But he is not filled with trickery, deception and skill. He, I am sure would have been told to limit the aggressive play and be careful not to aggrevate the injury and or see a repeat of it. How will that affect his game going forward because aggression is a key part of his game with pace and determination. So he will have to have controlled aggression. It may be that lghalo is still much more relevant than many think . We also have Dennis the most inform striker at the moment 8 goals in the EPL from 18 games is not easy. Both of them would have made a difference in my opinion. Unfortunately we will never know. |
Sportilitica:If you were an academy U13 football player and you missed that angled ball you would get slated. Sadiq just wasn't his usual lethargic languid self and did a bit more running ( albeit it very slow) he showed real determination he huffed and he puffed but could not blow any house down. |
TheGoodJoe:You be camelion changing your skin colour to suit the terrain of the narrative. You have no principles. |
Barryseal:Yes you are |
safarigirl:Luck comes to those who are prepared to work for it. Our Midfield was dead and lacked vision, invention and the tactical astuteness to change and adapt with the game. We had a one size fits all strategy and mentality. If it's not working try something else, but Eguavon sat there with no plan to mitigate against the Tunisians. I prefer measured calculation with caution with a strategy to ensure victory. But I got emotive and sentimental and very foolishly began to believe our own hype. Imagine predicting a 4-1 victory. Within 5 minutes l could see we had no cohesion, no composure and worst of all NO PLAN. But the most important component of that was missing no drive, no urgency no belief. At this stage the handicaps of "poor end product" began to show itself. You can get away with some by things but these tournaments are not a sprint but a marathon, better a slow build up than run on out of steam well before the finish line. I have been the bane of many claims of bias , he hates our , Nigerian born players ,bla bla and so on. Because I will not join so many in enthroning mediocrity and going OTT with our players in most cases limited attributes. Harsh facts , we don't want to face, none of our players are World class, that's a fact need to stop the OTT hype. Ndidi is very good DM but he is limited in his passing range, long range shooting and in his ability to turn from defence to attack. And he is arguably our best player. There is a reason why there is not much transfer speculation around him. Ekong and Omeruo at first opportunity were launching the ball foreward with no direction, Why ![]() Eguavon did no home work to change the set up against a team that we all knew would park the bus. The Tunisians neutralised the threat of Awoniyi he tried but he is a poor mans Drogba, very predictable and easy to defend against. I actually would have preferred Olayinka you need trickery and he has some. Aina made some mistakes but his end product coming forward was very good. The goal was a routine save it wasn't a bullet strike, but somehow a 6"5' goalkeeper could not get it. In my opinion he hit lethargic and lost concentration because the game lacked any sense of urgency from our part. Nonetheless, we had chances to score but we lacked quality end product. Iwobi would have been the game changer, but he committed a terrible foul. Which emanated from the failure of the refereee to give the ball back to us when he inadvertently changed the trajectory of the ball. In this regard poor refereeing decision. But we needed to keep our heads and not lose it. Ndidi and Omeruo could easily have yellow carded. In summary we lost the match with a dead Midfield. It's should have been Onyeka, Iwobi and Ndidi. Chukwueze was poor and Simon thought he was Messi and they both did not play a team game. KC in midfield did not work his work rate and backtracking is not the best. Funnily in his limited capacity Sadiq put on determined display. But that's all it was , he had a chance to score it was not a difficult chance it's basic angled ball and he messed it up. In my opinion Awoniyi and Sadiq are nowhere near Ighalo, harsh reality no hype. |
codemaniacs:No we did not. He made one big costly mistake on what should have been a very basic routine save. I am not surprised by the match in was very lethargic he had nothing to do and lost concentration. But we lost the game we became complacent and believed our own hype. It's the same thing we do we hype our player to high heavens. This game was lost because we did not turn up with a WINNING MENTALITY. Rohr looks like Klopp now compared to Eguavon. |
safarigirl:There is something that attitude , desire and determination can do for you that makes you overcome a better team. We simply did not turn up, the entire first half was very poor we beat ourselves . There was no desire to win . We lost the game because we did not turn up to WIN it's as if we believed our own hype. I too was affected I even bought into the hype my prediction we win 4-1. Put aside objectivity and got carried away . I actually was a bit concerned we had win all our of games against all odds relatively easily. When you have to fight your way from the beginning you don't get complacent. If we had lost one game before qualifying our heads would not have got so SWOLLEN. |
It's Too PAINFUL TO WATCH Tunisia is already celebrating |
codemaniacs:We lost this game from the first minute. ATTITUDE we were lethargic, languid and felt we had won the game by just turning on up. Coach didn't do enough .on getting them the right mentality |
Musa done come Eguavon had decided it's over |
Ndidi has to hit the target no pressure that was the chance of this game |
I really don't know how we can win this game now 5 minutes left CHEI over confidence is not good |
