Stop wasting your time replying this dude.
Everybody has a right to his or her opinion but it’s glearing he enjoys typing lengthy opinions that are far from facts/truth.
Lengthy they may be but far from the facts I disagree.

You have a narrative and you look for the rhetoric to support it, not a substantive deduction but an emotive one.

With regards to the A29 my view is underpinned with the question of " best value and most effective use of scarce resources." $600 million for 12 turboprop aircraft that will take 3 years for the first aircraft to be delivered and 6 years to complete the contract. When we are fighting a existential insurgency is IRRESPONSIBLE at best.

On the contrary you have made completely delusional misguided deductions. You and other claim this aircraft is the best COIN attack aircraft. But that's opinionated balderdash.

But you don't substantiate your position opinion with anything beyond very weak conjecture and assumptive emotive led opinions.

But back to you tell me one item that is UNTRUE and not Factual
.

You must appreciate that opinions are not facts but they should be underpinned with some knowledge and or substantive rational.

Guy just talk dat u hate the A29
Low risk deployment.

When allied troops call for immediate CAS they send in F35, F16 and if their is the time the A10 but not the experimental A29.

It's the Afghan airforce that uses them not the USAF.

The value of something is intrinsically linked to the price. My issue is functionality against price and best value.

In general the NA needs at least 1500 multiple armoured platforms which include MBT's, IFV's, MRAP's, APC'S, LAV 's., etc as well as 50 UAV's to have complete 24/7/365 situational spatial awareness over areas of contest in the NE.

Among many other things required.

I still find it hard to believe we are still using these, I hope it's not the variant with Jaguar petrol engine. It brings back memories when I was in junior school.

I guess they could still be useful but you definitely need some slat armour on it and against anything other than light arms you will have a big problem.

They are sold as military surplus for near peanuts and that's the more updated CVRT variants anything from £5k to £15k per unit not wholesale.

A29 is more useful against Boko Haram. Why people think jet combat aircraft are any good against insurgents beats me.
You need slow moving platforms to deliver ordinance accurately against a 'fast' and 'hidden' enemy. You won't see them if you are flying fast or you won't be able to process the data and deliver before you fly out of range to destroy the targets. The US fields A10 Warthogs against insurgents not F35s. They are also buying A29s.

Nigeria's JF17s are officially against Boko Haram but unofficially we know better.
You know the top speed of the A29 and you know the noise a turboprop aircraft makes giving you much more early warning.

Do you think the Boko guys will be waving welcome flags. I don't think they have very accurate and proficient gunners but they could get lucky considering the number of gun trucks with HMG. And that will be a $38 million➕ aircraft turned to rubble.

Hopefully the pilot will not be captured and used for murderous bloody deranged PR.

They are buying A29's for the Afghan Air Force but the USAF uses F35, F16 for CAS even more than the A10.

No p.
I disagree Mount had a very good game but some e of his decision making was very suspect and selfish.

Barkley lost steam for me even before the half ended. He is only 26 he has not upgraded his game. It was a case of diminishing returns after 30 minutes.

I was looking forward to seeing Loftus - Cheek replacing him. But it didn't happen although the subs in the second half all were strategic.

Bringing in a rampant Tega when City would have run out of steam and got complacent defending against a very very zero pace Giroud. Was key to the win, as he changed the game dynamics.

I don't have to be in his mind ( bold)

I just have to know the team selection including the subs and the different attributes of the players he has.

Winnings per game has to do with luck. Winnings for a series of games has more to do with quality.

Tega and Pedro were not in the starting line up, so dismisses your line up theory. You hoped Chelsea won and they did.

By the way, you saw Sterling's decision to go for goal instead of squaring for Mahrez in space. I wonder if Pep scolds Sterling at all. The English players need to start obeying space theory.
That actually was my theory.

It's very actually extremely hot in the UK today we had temperatures of ➕ 30 degree Celsius.

So fatigue will be a very big issue we are not use to this level of heat and humidity. Although it's an evening start it's still HOT.

That means have strength in depth is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL to your team strategy.

With the new rules that allow for 5 substitutes how you use them will have a huge impact on the team chances of winning and or defending.

I expected Giroud to start and play a more containment approach with his hold up play at the same time as lulling City into a false sense of security with the total lack of pace from Giroud.

Then on the second half go for goal by introducing the very outstanding Tega who on introduction completely changed the dynamics of the game. In the end getting Fernandinho sent off and getting the penalty.

Chelsea Wing backs neutralise the threat of Mendes and limited Walker which stifled Mahrez and Raheem from running the game.

In the end City went for broke and abandoned defence playing into Chelsea plan with Tega pushing the two City central defender right back with his pace and presence. And preventing them linking up with fluidity like they did in the first half.

So that was my expectation and it essentially played out as l expected.

Philosopher1979:
Komekn you are right. English football is progressing and they may win the world cup in the next 15 year. I did my personal research and saw that they are not playing kick and follow all the time. Their academies now encourage creativity. I will mention 2 points.

1. English premier league has money and so they can even buy ideas and knowledge. They imported technical tiki taka football with Guardiola, Gen gen pressing with Jurgen Klopp, Italian defensive football with Maurinho even sarri ball with Sarri while at chelsea. The problem is the cosmopolitan nature of the premier league and their ability to imbibe new ideas has made English football and the premier league more powerful. Indeed it is more powerful than maybe even 10 years ago.

2. By blending the natural pace and power of an English footballer with the technical and tactical efficiency of the italians, spanish etc, they are creating a new breed of English footballers. the 3 qualities of a player are technique and skill, tactical awarness (what is called decision making) and physical ability (eg speed, strength, stamina etc). The issue is English footballers are trying to create players who have all 3 at the same time. This is highly commendable.

3. However, you worship English football too much. They got all these improvements from foreign coaches and players BUT at least they have adopted it and maybe they are improving on it.
For the first time in the history of English football the FA began to take youth competition serous.

Second thing that happened the fusion of outstanding Athletic ability, blistering pace with technicality means DOMINANCE.

And those players are not blue eyed they are predominantly BLACK. I was watching a U18 team of Chelsea play Liverpool.

The Chelsea team was all black just one oyibo and that was the goalkeeper.

I once took one of my friends to a U14 youth session in a top EPL club he was shocked at the level of technical coaching.

The EPL is an international league English players are not in the majority. Every nation on this planet can relate to the EPL. Because you will have some representation of your nationals in it.

I have a lot of involvement with English football on every level. And so l talk more about what l know. Not just from a fans perspective. So it's not worship but experiential KNOWLEDGE.

I remember not too ling ago people were dismissing Adama Traore as being not good enough. If l am really right Chukwueze was considered better than him.l said he is improving and he will become a top top player.

Well I am watching Adama Traore single handedly destroy a whole team by himself. Dude is now unplayable a total destroyer.

I'm not shifting the post

You made it seem like outside Real and Barca, the teams in the La Liga can never compare to clubs in England

Football is not linear equation

Etebo was always bigger than the championship and Getafe is not a traditional top 5 team, they are having a great season, and Yes!! He will have a starting shirt in teams like Sheffield United.

The premier league is the most financially buoyant league in europe but football playing, it's not 1+1

Celta Vigo will surely pick at least 5 points from games with Watford, Villa and Norwich

And also bringing Rangers to talk town Villarreal.. Which team knocked out Celtic from Europa?? A team from Denmark

Nobody is saying La Liga is better or the segunda division is better than the championship but then, you can't just talk down the league because you want to talk down a player.

Las pamas came and played great football..
Girona also played good football...
You have changed the narrative again and created a different one. But from your own perception, consider the bold "you make it seem".

Which player am l talking downhuh ❓ according to you.

Look at what you are saying, ETEBO was always bigger than the championship. Then why did he come, he was very cheap in football terms €6 million transfer fee is nothing of importance in football.

One good outstanding season in the Championship and most EPL clubs will knock on your door. But unfortunately that did not happen for Etebo. Why because he is too good, be realistic. In all honesty if you do very well in league one you can be catapulted to the EPL.

What did Etebo do that made him bigger than the championship
huh ❓ You are talking him up with Wind and fresh air, Nothing of substance

Now you will say l am pulling him down.

So why is he not at Sheffield United, they saw him play in the Championship.

Leicester city got beat and kicked out of the FA cup by 4 tier team, English 2nd division team. A team struggling with relegation Newport County. AFC Wimbledon beat West Ham 4-2 on the FA cup last season. What does it mean, That they are betterhuh

Below the league table of EPL and La Liga look at position 5-10 on both sides and tell me which teams have more value and quality international players and use that to decide who has more quality. It's not talking up or down just plain factual. Look at it man to man.

I think England is yet to bring up brilliant tactical minded playing midfielders. That is something they are yet to sort out in their training patterns.

Billy Gilmore is showing signs but when will we see a large production of players with the kind of Quality Paul Scholes showed.

I think that is something Pep is trying to instill in Foden and I hope he assimilates it fast. Or, Pep might have to go to the market for a Silva replacement.

I am talking of the kind of tactical quality we find in Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Carzola, Koke, Xabi Alonso, Thiago, Isco and Sarabia.

Look at this clip of a young Oliver Torres.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__z3eX9mWcE
You are looking at football from one perspective the Spanish style of football. Things have moved on you are being too nostalgic.

A style that sees only two teams dominate in thier league consistently. But two teams with the best 2 players in the world.

Take out Messi from Barcelona and l tell you they will not have the same over riding dominance. Look at Real M.since Ronaldo left and they are not the same.

Most top quality teams are not entirely reliant on just one player.

Now to mitigate against the technical possession game of Barcelona. You simply bring in pace, more physicality and go more direct. And don't worry about possession.

Chelsea did it with Drogba.

Football has moved on and spending time on the ball with possession only is no longer the killer tactic. Pep has evolved the system with what he has done at Bayern and Man city.

Liverpool did it and gave Barcelona a football lesson with a crazy defeat right in thier backyard.

If it worked Carzola would still be in Arsenal but he has dropped to insignificance in Villareal.

The system also requires that everyone plays the same way.

Look at Seria A and see what the combination of speed, technical ability with physicality has done for Lukaku at Inter. Although for me irrespective of the league Lukaku is a proven tested World class striker.

Paul Scholes would not find it easy now the game has changed. Midfielder are box to box and they score goals.

Even with that you are still very wrong and not being balanced with regards to English players. Let's look at the current young English midfielder who are killing it.

Mason Mount, Maddison, Winks, Grealish, Ruben Loftus, Barkley, Bamidele Alli, Todd Cantwell, etc to name just a few. These players will walk into any top club in Europe.

So again you seem to be out of touch with times the game has changed. Look at Liverpool where the Wing backs are recording more assists and even goals than top midfielders in the top leagues.

You need to drink the new wine, you are still drinking old Wine.

De Bruyne does not waist time doing skills and never ending possession football. But is arguably the best attacking midfielder in the world, look at his END PRODUCT assists and goals.

You are changing my narrative and proposition completely to suit your own.

To summarise I made it clear the EPL is the most competitive league in the World. Best is open to debate.

With regards to the Championship it is the most competitive and best 2nd tier in the World. It is undoubtedly the 2nd tier with the most finances and better players mostly follow the €€€£££.

Last seasons Newport County in the 4th tier of English football knocked out Leicester City 2-1 in the FA cup. Does that make them better ❓ l dont think so.

Athletico Madrid played a very defensive game and were able to win the game. They played thier tactics and they won. Is Athletico Madrid better than Liverpool ❓ Again l very much doubt it.

Everton will beat Villa Real IMO, l watched them struggle against Glasgow Rangers to draws and played the last half with only 10 men. Does that make Rangers better than Villa Real❓ Not exactly.

With regards to Everton and Villareal they don't have the same level of quality and will certainly not be able to deal with the physicality of Everton.

It is not as simplistic as you are trying to present.

Consider Etebo, who has had a torrid time this season in the Championship. Has gone straight too La Liga and is getting SERIOUS game time and doing quite well. Getafe is top 5 team in La Liga.

Do you think Etebo will be considered at Man U, Wolves and or Tottenham these clubs are all below 5th position in the EPL. Considering the quality these clubs have in midfield.

Villareal is 6th currently do you think they will beat Wolves, Tottenham, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace. I doubt it.

Now let's go to bottom 5 of La Liga , with Celta Vigo, Mallorca and Leganese. Look at the players they have and tell me they will beat Watford, West Ham and Villa

In football nothing is certain but on paper just looking at the players I very much doubt it. I am looking at the value placed on the players.

You will now say l am biased.

But if you like look at Fulham and their players and transfer value. I actually consider Mitrovic a EPL quality striker playing in the Championship.

You may say money is not everything in the end your €€€£££ will make a big difference IMO.
