Thanks! Its very true and invalidates the whole Chosen Land narrative the Impostors always bleat and yet many here still don't get it.
Bnei Menashe could be counted among the Originals but In 110% sure they we're as Black African as THE Egyptians.
This is not a topic for this discourse.

There is way too much depth to go onto before we can even touch the top of the iceberg.

We can go into Kushand the several dynasties of Black African pharaohs. And we know the Israel inter married with Egyptians of different tribes, race and creeds.

We know of the unique relationship of Ethiopia with Isreal, indeed Bathsheba was black. And the Israelites at that time were certainly not white.

The story is very long.

In the next 10 years, ucav(s) would be a very important part of developed airforces worldwide.its the future.we gotta key into this technology and reap its benefits.am not sayin' we should go totally unmanned, but we can incoporate the ucav into the system, which would help reduce operational costs.
I would add to what you have said using Turkey as a case study.

Turkey has proven beyond all doubt and raised the game. With its comprehensive wiping of the Syrian army in a matter of days. Primarily anchored on its UAV'S.

The Assad regime suffered heavy losses as a result of the drone campaign: 3,000 soldiers, 151 tanks, eight helicopters, three drones, three fighter jets (including two Russian-made Sukhoi Su-24s), around 100 armored military vehicles and trucks, eight aerial defense systems, 86 cannons and howitzers, ammunition trucks and dumps, and one headquarters, among other military equipment and facilities.
https://www.mei.edu/publications/fight-syrias-skies-turkey-challenges-russia-new-drone-doctrine

In addition these same drones have removed Haftar from his position of dominance to one of humiliation and retreat in Libya.

What I am saying is that UAV technology is changing VERY RAPIDLY the entire battlefield management and strategy.

UAV are the current FUTURE, with zero risk to pilots. Turkey has added another dimension electro magnetic warfare, as a consequence rendering the previously dreaded Russian pantsir air defence system effectively impotent.

The latest UAV by Turkey is the Akinci (Raider) which remains the most noteworthy asset of the next generation Turkish unmanned airpower. Produced by Baykar, the Akinci has a payload of 1,350kg of multiple precision weaponry.

Boko for now do not have anything to shoot down anything at high and even medium altitude so UAV technology will dominate unopposed. Which means Boko will struggle to operate and be very limited in what the can do.

arm a drone with rockets and you'll have to fly at a closer range to hit target accurately. You stated with a UCAV you get to Carry out Combat and ISR at the Same,What comes to mind is the Super Tucano Built for COIN operations and has more payload that UCAV..
Actually it depends on the type of rockets the Hydra 70 with the BAE Systems Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) II, makes it precision weaponry with up to 8km range.

Or the Lockheed Direct Attack Guided Rocket system. Which gives it up to 12km range fired at 20,000ft.

I would speculate that these munitions will not be cheap. You easily could be talking in excess of $6k per unit. However, which variant of the Hydra 70 the NAF has procured for the A29 when they eventually arrive, l don't know. Some are not so long range, that will require a pilot to drop to a lower altitude and become vulnerable to anti aircraft fire.

The Chinese Wing Loong II UAV has a number of different ATGM such as the BA-7, LJ-7 (Blue Arrow-7) there are several variants. But all have an average effective range of 10km or slightly below.

That means they can be launched at 25,000 ft at ground targets. How much do they cost, l really dont know. But l would speculate at least $15k per unit.

US arms are always way over priced in my opinion, but in general so are all weapons of destruction it's just a question of degree.

The term coin is non specific and very fluid it means everything but nothing with in-depth detail and specifics, it is a very generic term.

Whatever use you put an asset to you can define it to be. For instance the Toyota pick up is the number one COIN vehicle, that is a fact by popularity alone. Can you say it's the besthuh

The Mil 24 is the most widely used attack helicopters in COIN in the world.

Does that automatically mean that these assets have some unique outstanding and superior quality more than anything elsehuh

The Tucano is no better at COIN than a dedicated ground attack fighter than say the A10, SU25, British Tornado, Jaguar, etc It has one thing over them loitering time. But then if you have a UAV which can give you 24/7/365 overview of a designated area. And then direct supersonic jet attack fighters to targets within minutes, what do you need a A29 for, to watch th viewhuh . Maybe that's why they are not part of the USAF strategy in any of its conflict zones.

When we talk of China then we are talking of the masters of mass production with expedience. If you want it today and you pay China will get it for you.

The price comparison as well as the efficacy of Wing Loong II UAV's leave the A29 dead and buried. Particularly with regards to COIN as generic as the term may be.

Operational cost very low, acquisition cost low aggregate weaponry cost low. Two A29 will give you 50 Wing Loong II UAV's. Here and Now, not in 3 or 6 years time hopefully.

Yes, let's buy some $ million drones with tethering and reliability issues because we have' crude oil money'.

Nigeria is better off with MALE drones for reconnaissance and intelligence, a few more helicopters and fixed wing assets than payload restricted UCAV. Besides this is an insurgency not a conventional army like used in Syria or Libya. Great to take out one or two targets, then what happens next?

Strafing runs, multiple hits and so are required dealing with BH convoys. Not your one hit wonders.

Holistic mindset not throwing money at a target is what's required here.
A Wing Loong II UAV can carry 12 ATGM's it has can stay airborne for over 30 hours. It's ATGM have a range of 10km plus with precision. It can carry precision bombs too.

The accuracy is close to 100% it can read a cars number plate. It also can give you 24 hour situational awareness so if you placed one UAV over an area of contention / consideration it will give you coverage continous over 50 km wide radius.

That means anytime Boko come out Night or Day and are on the move. You will see them.

So you have the option to direct units in the vicinity to neutralise them or you get the UAV to do it.

Efficacy of UAV's is longer in doubt.

Putting all that behind.

What do Boko really have that is so problematic for our military do deal with.
❓ ❓

Thats the question.

Boko have rickety gun trucks mounted with HMG, these gun trucks are not armoured. Lots of Rpg7's and of course the IED's and a limited number of SVBIED.

I watched how we abandoned a Vickers MTB that could easily neutralise 15/20 gun trucks on its own. WHY.

Then we call on the airforce, this war will be won on the ground not in the air.

Finally, we need a lot more of everything. Our supply chain and logistics management, I can project is very poor that limits your battlefield strategy. We don't have enough heavy lift helicopters and or aircraft 5 C130 is very, very inadequate.

Look at how many UAV the USAF have and how often they are deployed.

Then how many light turboprop aircraft they have, don't think they are up 30. That in USAF means negligible and of very little significance and or value.

So the person you are buying the product from doesn't use it or value it. What does that make you who is buying it.

Can you see how this set up in itself has already put those troops at a distinct disadvantage.

There is no elevation and therefore no spatial situational awareness. Imagine at night the peril our guys are facing you with desperate Boko suicide dudes crawling on through and detonating themselves once inside the trench.

From the trench it means your engagement will always be close, you have no clear advantage they Boko could easily lob a grenade at 50 metres.

My conclusion out guys are very brave indeed we are making things so dam difficult for them with outdated and archaic practices.

What's the point of even having a optic scope on your assault rifles in a trench when you have no elevation. You barely have 100-150 metres clear vision. Iron sights will do.

Nigeria soldiers are suffering and you can see how a lack of basic battlefield management and strategy is causing our totally very high casualty rate.

God bless and protect our very Galant and long suffering men.

what you're trying to say now is that the US air Force special operation command going for the Tucano instead of more Reaper Drones don't know what they are doing
Be very careful.

You are making a statement that is simply not true. The entire programme with regards to light turboprop aircraft is classed as experimental.

Go and do you the research.

Finally, ask yourself, you can do the open source research. How many of these aircraft are in the entire USA inventory in the first place compared to all the other platforms. Take note there are several different platforms not just the Tucano in consideration. Which was retrofitted by the USAF to make it what it is today.

Then how many times compared to the other air platforms have they been deployed across the multiple locations of conflict the USA is engaged in across the globe.

Why at this stage in our development and awareness are we digging WW2 trenches in a Sahel savanna.

Things have moved on nobody is digging trenches. You need elevation to defend and to see your enemy, more so in the predominantly flat lands of the Sahel Savanna. The cost is very very minimal.

The HESCO bags have become the standard for for all military bases in this modern day and age.
They are constructed with collapsible wire mesh frame with a thick synthetic canvas type strong fabric covering.

It's like lego you can stack them up 3 levels that gives you up to 30 feet of elevation. That means you can with magnification remote cameras or just plain binoculars including thermal vision have up to 5km possibly more of spatial awareness and vision.

These HESCO bags can be VERY EASILY be locally produced 100% local content in Nigeria for peanuts. Just with simple revers engineering.

That will make a huge difference to our forward bases and defensive positions and stop them from being over run. Giving you protection from Rpg7's and even heavy mortar fire.

Examples below.

Do you have a problem admitting that the response at Monguno isn't impressive.
First, we lost soldiers, 2ndly AHQ provided equipment that would deal with the threat & future threats presently torched by the enemy, depriving NA gallant men & women future response capabilities.

Repelling an attack at the cost of important equipment & lives of soldiers isn't a sensible benchmark for measuring success.
Im sure you agree at least.
I had too read this three times, found it hard to believe this is your opinion.

Kelechi Nwakali is a player of interest by a lot of people based on his outstanding exploits at the youth level.
When he bought a house...it was here...when he was partying around...the news came here and people slated him..when he was getting playing time in an obscure club in a backwater league...people brought it here...I have seen pictures of him doing many things not related to football in this forum....so he is a player of interest both by those who love him and those who are totally disappointed in him or don't love him....

So even a 5 seconds cameo in the next match would make the news here...if it's not by supernerd...it would be by someone else who probably wants to mock him....

So guys we are stuck with him....it is not a matter of igbekeme.if igbekeme lost form and starts playing in cyprus...it wont be discussed in 2 pages...but I can guarantee that it would take more than 10 pages discussion if it was kelechi..so it is a matter of kelechi being a player of interest and focus

There is nothing like 'a manager' when it comes to Stoke. Since Etebo joined, Stoke has changed managers 5 times.

He went injured at the beginning of his second season, this season, and found it hard to break into the new manager's team. He missed the first two games through injury, and was on the bench for the next two. In those games Stoke got only one point from a possible 12. He got a

In his team, he had the most touches, joint most shots, was the most fouled, blocked the most shots and was the second highest rated outfield player.
In the next game, he had the highest pass accuracy, Stoke still lost. He didn't start the next game but started the next.

In his fourth start Etebo had a rating of 8.45, one of the highest for that week, he didn't even score or assist, yet Stoke city lost. From then, Etebo was garnering an average rating of 7.4 per match. Two games before the the manager was sacked, Etebo picked up an injury and never got a look in.

So in short, Etebo wasn't poor, but the form of the team and uncertainty at the club was the problem.
One game doesn't make a player it's a collection of games.

I have already posted his aggregate stats at Stoke he was not in thier best 11.

Statistics are only indicative but not holistically conclusive.

I can explain what happened. His first season he was probably among the top 3 performers if not the best and highly valued above the small £6 million transfer fee. But Stoke was struggling with relegation that doesn't help your value.

He set a standard of expectation from his first season. Fast forward to 2019/20. He came back to Stoke injured from Afcon and did not have a good pre season that was the first problem.

As a consequence he was always climbing up hill and missed the opportunity to impress the new manager. And other players filled the gap.

Quality does not hide in football it is seen on the field of play. But only when you are playing.

After loosing his place, he decided, to go to La Liga it is not as competitive and he feels he can progress better thier. Under the circumstances it seems the best approach.

Also I look at this current manager as a quintessential kick and rush type manager he will not neccesarily feel Etebo fits into his football strategy. They want to survive which means technical good quality football may not be on the menu.

You will not get an answer about the French drones etc. That is why I will keep repeating about arm chair general[/b]s.

On the Chadian soldiers, yes they can come and defend and go away as heroes, but it is easier to do that when you have not been fighting for years on multiple engagements at home. Same way if the BH insurgency was embedded in Chad, the NA would be able to there there, whoop asses and return home. Do you think Chad alone would have had the capacity to have been fighting BH for years? How did they do when they lost 100 soldiers when their base was attacked. That was just one attack. Yes they fought back and had some successes, which were overhyped, but so has the NA.

I have already mentioned the factors in relation to NAF response times but some people are bent, as usual, on saying they have failed. No effort to make any research etc.

Concerning the Super Tucano, you have said it. There is no reasoning with people who have entrenched positions, no matter how illogical.
French forces are in Sub Saharan Africa under Operation Barkhan which in itself emanated from operation Serval.

What's the mission focus of the French operation and the support of the EU nations which is predominantly logistical is to complement that mission.

French forces complement partner countries of the G5 Sahel if avaliable and if considered necessary. They do not underpin thier operations.

Since Operation Serval in 2013 that essentially wiped out the Islamic Jihadists in the Maghreb in a couple of weeks. How many French combatants have been killedhuhhuh

To date 46 French soldiers have been killed since January 2013 over a period of 7 years ➕.

Everything can not be air assets and air force required. French forces engage with the enemy on the ground but not relying on air power primarily.

I asked this question before, how many times has ISWAP and it's affiliates attempted to ambush or had any success against French soldiers. Have you heard of any French and or European combatants base been attacked over runhuh ❓ Why I wonder why? ❓

Mali combatants have enough equipment to engage the enemy but somehow they end up with heavy casualties. WHYhuh

France can not legislate for the incompetence of its partner countries poor battlefield management and or take responsibility for thier inability to deal with the enemy.

You are evading the subject at its core with irrelevant comparisons . We are talking about Monguno and that specific situation that took place there. Appraise that particular incident and stop evading the core subject please.

You sound like a PR officer for the Armed forces, trying to clean up a mess, but doing a poor job of it. You have not mentioned one substantive fact with regard to NAF response times you have been assumptive not factual.

A Vickers MBT tank and other lethal armoured assets were abandoned and subsequently destroyed by the enemy, they were not used to engage the enemy, WHY the core question ❓❓ ❓ There is no excuse we have reliable Intel that those assets were operational.

The NA have the equipment and should have capacity to deal with a hundred or so rag tag ISWAP fighters in not more than 15/20 gun trucks.

My expectations are that they should never have been able to get into the town in the first place. Anything that happened afterwards was damage limitation.

There is nothing COMMENDABLE about the reponse prior and or afterwards

Just waiting but VERY READY TO GO, once the order is given they run to the aircraft and within minutes they are airborne.

You armchair Generals again speaking on operational matters you think you know about. Have you ever considered that there are nowhere near enough platforms in the air force's inventory to maintain a 24 hour coverage of the NE? And you have the platforms scattered over the country on different operations.
Then there is also downtime involving maintenance etc. Only 80% of not many platforms are available at any time. The Airforce needs a lot more close air support aircraft and attack helicopters than they currently have when you look at the size of the NE. There are also aircraft tasked on other missions and as such also not available at your beckon call.

More advanced countries are more successful in responding because they have aircraft available in the air near 24/7
as they have numbers as well as air to air refuelling to keep them airborne for long periods and available to attack when required with Forward Air Controllers always on the ground (I am sure a few people here think a pilot will just show up with his aircraft and immediately know friend from foe).

This is where the Tucano will be helpful with their loiter time as we don't have air to air refuelling to keep aircraft in the air longer. The pilots are getting trained, what we need now are the platforms in significant numbers.

The admittance of FAILURE is the beginning of SUCCESS.

The denial of FAILURE when there has been systemic failure will result in continous failure and the enthronment of mediocrity .

There is an issue of low expectations here. The same way we see our politicians they do nothing, indeed they are comprehensively inept, but we claim they are TRYING.

These incidents have become continous over the past years. Combatants abandoning equipment, thier positions in the face of Boko attack.

Instead of doing a proper post mortem and getting at the root of the problem we paint over the matter and say we are trying. Sorry it's not good enough.

With regards to the bold that's utter Balderdash.

There is a contingency plan, the UK has never fought a war on its soil for over a 100 years. But thier is a contingency plan for one.

There are fighter pilots stationed at multiple RAF bases on "High Alert" standby 24/7/365. At a moments notice within 3/4 minutes they are airborne and going at supersonic speed to intercept targets. There are regular drills to keep them up to scratch, there is no complacency.

On this platform we have hailed the NAF as being highly competent. But with what unit of comparative measurement, l don't know.

I made two assumptions first that we have some air assets ( fighter jets) in Maiduguri, do wehuh ❓ The distance by road between Monguno and Maiduguri is about 85miles however "as the crow flies" and using nautical miles, it is a lot shorter.

With this in mind the NAF should be able to have target acquisition in Monguno within or less than 15 minutes. It is not difficult.

This has nothing to do with being an advanced country or not. It's about competence, organisational culture and effective management.

You claim we have very few operational aircraft. Then who decided to buy 12 aircraft that will take 6 years to complete the supply and three years before we get the first ones. I am sorry it is near deranged thinking.

Is the USA the only country that sells aircraft in the world.

The cost of two A29 will give us 50 Wing Loong II UAV today not in 6 years time. Do you know if you had those UAV Boko will be almost rendered impotent. That will give you complete situational awareness over the whole NE.

They UAV operates very silently not like a noisy turboprop, with a ceiling of over 30k feet. Once again l am talking about the HERE and very present NOW.

What I don't understand is how the NA in Monguno doesn't have any outposts to give them situational awareness. It's like they were asleep when Boko attacked.

But that not withstanding, Boko did not invade with 100 T72 tanks just in my estimation not more than 15/20 rickety gun trucks and combatants with light arms walking around like it's Sunday afternoon stroll.

The Vickers MBT is able on its own to completely halt the advance. It may be old but it's very capable, it's 105 mm gun is stabilised it can shoot on the move 100% accuracy any target under 2km. By the time just 4/5 of the gun trucks are decimated the rest will run away.

Finally, something many will not like to consider this but we should. Imagine there were Chadian soldiers in Monguno what do you think would have been thier responsehuh

How much was spent on transfers in the entire Segunda División this season and look at how much just Fulham spent on transfers.

When you have had a look then we can talk.

This is a players that his entire justification for ability is based on youth football of 5 years ago.

He went to the Eredivisie flopped got demoted to the second tier Eerste Divisie flopped again then ended up in Porto B playing youth football and shockingly was not even a regular.

He has gone to Huesca the Segunda División and is not a regular. Comes on for as a substitute in the 82nd minutes.

And he is being talked about as a prospect for the SE, that is unbridled delusional misguided favoritism.

Can someone remind us of the last time and year Kelechi Nwakali played a game of first team professional football.huh

If l started talking about a player in English league one, who played 8 minutes of football in his first competitive game of professional football for over a year. The majority of people would be screaming expletives against me and saying l am nakedly blatantly biased.

You have quite a few players on loan from higher level clubs including Wolves. These are players that can't get a loan move in the Championship and not too many clubs interested even in League one.

Look no further. It's right here. wink Hopefully this marks a new beginning of positive progress for the lad. Still a long long way to go.
Talk about emotive based bias and preference.

After 8 minutes of playing as a substitute in the very poor quality in all ways Segunda División.

You are actually appraising him that's just naked favoritism. He has absolutely done nothing to be talked about.

I dont know any Niger player that will come on as a substitute that people will talk about. If he had come on for Real, Barca or Liverpool it would make some sense.

Etebo was praised to high heavens by opposition managers. They marveled that he was a championship player. His quality was obviously miles above that level . He was one of the top performers in the championship. He was not motivated to perform. He wanted something higher.
My goodness see how you are reasoning.

Quality is by performance not by mouth Oh, you use the term MILES ABOVE .

You are being sentimental not objective or rational.

Look below Etebo performance in Stoke not in the Championship just his team. Not too much talk required.

Apples and oranges. Morata went to Chelsea on the back of a 15 league goals campaign at Real Madrid majorly as a Super sub.

Werner is a proven goals banger joining Chelsea on the back of a 26 league goals and counting campaign at Leipzig.

Morata's highest ever goals count in a league season is 15.
Werner had 16 in the Bundesliga last season (18/19).

Morata have played more career games compared to Werner yet Werner has more goals and assists than Morata.

The expectations on Werner is higher abeg. 26 is far above 15.
The Bundesliga is not the EPL they are not the same quality, intensity, physicality and or same level of competitivness.

Batshuayi who struggles for games at Chelsea goes to Bundesliga on loan with Borussia Dortmund scores 7 goals in 10 games.

That's an indicator let's see how Tim will adapt to the EPL or not as the case maybe. Because for now he is proven only in the less competitive Bundesliga. A league where one team had dominated for the past 10 years.

This man gets it.

Despite the reality that it was a probing attack, they would have done greater damage if they weren't stopped by the fighter jets that came several hours late.

Both NA and NAF need to do a lot more.
How far is Maiduguri from this location my estimate approx 100 miles. I presume there will be a number of air assets thier.

And you are saying it took hours for the NAF to respond sorry that's high level incompetence.

But most worrying indeed Very worrying look at how close they are too Maiduguri. Will it be impossible or shocking of they attacked Maiduguri.huh ❓ And the tried to destroy the air assets before they can take off.

Indeed well done Buratai, l can see him once he retires becoming a politician, he is already well versed in spin and manipulation of information.
