bidexiii:There are two companies Elbit Systems in Isreal and another one on South Africa. The SU 25 us you know is stupendously rugged it can fly on petrol there. Can take off from poor runways and can take hits from 30 mm and survive. With these things it all depends on how far you want to go. but an upgrade to enable precision weaponry capability and better avionics will cost less than a $1 million. Ita far far cheaper if we buy the components ourselves and get our Engineers to do it. I went to believe we the capacity. Belarus had a lot of them in storage looking for buyers. They are a lot across the Eastern block gathering dust. Per unit $2 million just depends on how much bribe you can give. These countries are quite corrupt too. |
Faithful007:Open Question would anybody buy s vehicles from a country that has produced it's first vehicle in comparison to vehicle from Japan and or Germany. Now move up a bit, will anybody feel comfortable flying in a passenger aircraft made by Pakistan. Thus country is an absolute amateur in aircraft technology indeed in any kind of technology and high level manufacturing and has no long standing experiential competence. It takes decades to build up that level of knowledge and expertise. Our experience with the F7 basically poor quality Mig 21 should have taught us a lesson. Buy no we deh find deal. The Jf 17 is all copy cat engineering, the Mig 29 Engine ( very unreliable) avionics from left right and center, it just a mix of so many things put together. And who are the only customers Myanmar and Nigeria if that doesn't cause alarm bells to ring, then something is wrong. You know when Kia, Hyundai first came from Korea, we were all skeptical. They have improved over 30 years now they have a quality product that can become relied upon. What does Pakistan have that we can call established exemplary to anchor thier aircraft technology upon Wind and a fresh air = NUTTIN. Cheap article deh spoil belle. |
Jimi24:You have gone off on a delusional tangent. You brought into the discourse the comparison of flight costs between the F16 and A29, two completely different aircraft. Nonetheless, l indulged you by country dynamics comparison to show how flawed it was. But the entire direction is irrelevant nobody is asking the NAF to buy F16s, it is a complete digression. The discourse centers on " best value and most effective use of resources for the best delivery outcome" That's the unit of measurement and only pertinent consideration. REALITY - We may or may not get 2/3 A29 Tucano by the end of the Year. Aircraft that were bought in 2018. And the contract delivery projected completion 2024. Procuring the Wing Loong II UAV could see 50 in theatres in 6 months and 15 almost immediately. The A29 will give you 4 hours situational coverage at most possibly less. The UAV gives you 32 hours + which is more flexible ❓ The A29 is not more accurate, how did you come to that conclusion. A Hydra Rockets is not more accurate than an ATGM. Often said the patient dog gets the biggest bone, A UAV uses far less fuel than a turboprop and can wait for 30 hours in observation waiting to strike. UAV can do face recognition that is the level of detail. In addition they are not noisy as the turboprop A29 therefore better stealth. Finally, best value 80+ Wing Loong II or two A29 Tucano's which do you think will be much more effective in the NE and have the greatest over all impact. Particularly in the HERE and NOW. We don't even have one A29 in theatre yet we are still waiting after three years of signing the contract. Finally, nobody here has been able to contend with my view that the A29 IS TOTALLY OVERPRICED and that there are far better and cheaper alternatives. Someone suggested that the life cycle of the UAV is only 5 years that's simply UNTRUE. What we don't know is how fast the technology is moving and how far it can develop. UAV are now being equipped with AAM's. Real lack of strategic geo political thinking the Sub Sahara is becoming a battle zone of conflicting interests. And the NAF and NA have no capacity to project influence beyond our borders. We have no fighter aircraft that can ward of threats from out contending neighbours in Egypt, Libya, Sudan and Algeria. That's a big mistake. |
SuperSixSeven:That's why you have a duplicity of companies across Europe, South Africa and Isreal offering upgrades and retrofitting of different component. Prudent companies buy them used for very little $2 million or less them refurbish and retrofit themselves. Increasing the life cycle of the airframe all at very competitive cost for best value and most effective use of scarce resources. Look at how many medium to heavy lift helicopters Angola has and see thier strategic procurement approach. |
elunico:Look at yourself in the mirror and see who is jaded and and lacking in deduction. Chuks was the stand out player in league one and two after coming back from two years of injury. With the most goals and assists in his club MK Dons and assists in the league. Wanted by multiple Championship clubs. He has played 222 league games and 56 goals. as either a Midfielder, SS or a number 9, he is very versatile and technical astute buy also stupendously physical too. And all of this while struggling with injury. He has been out since November last year with injury. He just returned days ago after near 8 months of injury recovery. There are no discipline issues, no fitness issues (over weight) wrong attitude issues or fighting with prostitutes in a public place and or being drunk and disorderly issues. There are two things with Isaac Success very poor performances after a £12.5 million transfer fee. He has been at Watford for 4 seasons and after 42 games just 2 goals. The other thing is ATTITUDE that's his biggest downfall. He reminds me sometimes of Ravel Morrison lots of ability never applied WASTED talent, another WASTEMAN like Isaac Success. He had the ignoble accolade of being the worst player on the field against lowly league 2 club in an FA cup game. So tell me the co- relationship or similarity between Aneke and Success. And see who is DENSE. |
Subzero047:Bar remains the same and no goal posts have been moved. He was up and kept going down and has gone into a poor quality league rated 20 in Europe. He is not the top goal scorer in the league he is in the top 8 with three players all on 12 goals. The league is low quality and to stand out and be a Lion he should be in the top 5 minimum but ideally top 3. When Maja left league one too French league one he was the top goal scorer in EFL league one and he was 18 years old. Can you compare the two. |
sheyishemba:Thank you hitting the nail on the head. |
sheyishemba:Curious can you show where Liverpool made an official bid for Chukwueze please. |
Blueelf:It really depends on the club. The bigger the club the greater the network of scouts and that's across the globe. The job of a scout is too keep looking hoping to find someone outstanding. All tjat driving around and flights to different places is all factored in. In all honesty it can be used to go on fancy breaks to parts of Europe at the club's expense. |
maidaboi:Unfortunately for Sadiq the proposition fails where he is concerned. Because he has already had a few years of mediocrity in far more competitive leagues and was well below average if not outright mediocre. He has gone to very lowly rated league and he is doing a lot better, with regards to that league he had scored 12 goals he is not in the top 5 top scorers but on the top 8 with 3 players all jointly on 12 goals. To be a Lion in a lower league you should be doing a lot better to prove your quality is beyond that league. IMO without prejudice. |
bidexiii:I would advise you to do some research about the Russian SU25 and then you will change that perfunctory assumption. You can indeed consider acquisition costs as well as running costs. |
SuperSixSeven:Flight and mission costings are highly generalist and do not take cognisance of local variables and permutations. As a consequence there are HUGE disparities between airforces and in particular the USAF. What level of staffing support and infrastructure is required to keep a fighter jet in the air by the USA and by the NAF ❓ For example a NCO can earn including other payments over time, mission specific, depending on speciality, can earn up too $75,000 a year. A mid level senior officer such as Squadron leader can earn up to $150k a year. Now factor all that into aggregate costs including fuel costs, number of man hours and personal deployed, engineering staff, and support, maintenance etc. Now look at NAF aggregate costs how much is the pay of a NCO, and what is pay of a mid level senior officer such as Squadron leader in the NAF. Consider the level of support staff required to keep a fighter jet in the air in Nigeria. Now articulate those variables into an aggregate cost per hour, for the USAF and you can see how their costs can rise too $8000 per hour. Now make a projection of our NAF variable costs, deployed personal and articulate those costs into an hourly aggregate for the NAF. Now ask yourself do you think they will be the same ❓ . An appendicitis operation in Nigeria may not be more than naira 300k ( guess). But it will cost you about $55000 or more in the USA. That's to highlight the price differentials with the two different countries of Nigeria and the USA. So you can make an informed projection that hourly running costs will be far less than what the over indulgent USAF costs are. Your rational is perfunctory and not well thought out but very impulsive. You cannot ignore capital acquisition costs in the equation of cost, it is intrinsic to any cost appraisal. The A29 is the most over priced military turboprop in the world, when you are paying $40 million ➕ for a turboprop. You can't be talking about running costs which are very spurious at best. Then you have to consider alternatives and the issue of opportunity cost witt those alternatives. With that you can come to a more balanced appreciation of cost aa well as best value and most effective use of scarce resources. We will get one or two A29 before the year runs out, hopefully, that's three years later and the rest will not be delivered in completion until 2024. That's really absurd. The costs of one A29 will get us 35+ Wing Loong II UAV. Below a YouTube video of a Turkish UAV which is around not as good as the Wing Loong II. To highlight the efficacy for those who have forgotten. Imagine the impact those UAV's will have not in 3,4, 5 years, but in the HERE and NOW giving you 24/7/365 coverage over the area or contention in the NE and even with face recognition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzB5Vip5Wpc |
junnyjake:Absolutely of Ighalo doesn't perform he looses his place and vice versa. And if none of them perform someone else will take the opportunity that's football. Although o have no idea who. Currently in my opinion we have only two quality strikers. |
elunico:How is it hypocrisy explain. |
Arabiandude:I asked the question what is the co-relationship between Neymar and Osimhen. It seems you are presenting the proposition that because Neymar plays in French league that means Osimhen and him are of comparable or similar quality. And therefore also the league. First of all for the past 8 seasons PSG has won the league 7 times and currently on thier third consecutive win of the league. That effectively means it is a one league team, there is PSG and everybody else a huge gap. That is not an attribute of a quality competitive league. Let's look at that gap. Neymar has never had this level of goals to game ratio since coming to Europe only in the French league. Neymar was injured so did not play so many games. Osimhen has played the highest number of games in the league in the top 20 goal scorers. Victor has played 27 games in the league and Neymar 15 but he scored the same numberbof goals 13, almost half the number of games of Victor. I am sorry that is a huge gulf in quality not comparable quality. That's just the facts not pulling a player down as some will indignantly claim. Islam Salami played 39 games in EPL as a Leicester city player, but scored just 7 goals he was considered a flop in the EPL. He has gone to Monaco and in 18 games has scored 9. To date no French Striker has left the French league and immediately replicated his goal tally in the EPL not one. Why do you think Victor will automatically be better. The EPL is the most competitive, fastest and physicality intense league in the World IMO. In general better players play in the better teams and better leagues. Nonetheless, there are always exceptions irrespective of how low the league may be this is the nature of football. If Richarlison and or Calvert-Lewin were playing in the French league. Do you think they will not be among the top goal scorers ![]() You played more emphasis on Dominic Calvert-Lewin. I personally think he is a players who is very lucky and the relationship he had with David Unsworth former coach at Sheffield. Gave him undue opportunity. However, he has taken the opportunity to improve and improve and create quality consistency. He has had 6/7 years of first team professional football 4 seasons in the EPL. This season 29 games and 13 goals in the EPL. In this regard Victor Osimhen will have to fight for a place against players with much more experience and understanding of the EPL and probably more favoured in the club. Finally, scoring 13 goals in the EPL is definitely not the same as scoring 13 in the French league one. You may consider my point of view as prejudiced and biased, it is your choice. |
Blueelf:Happy blessed Birthday You have overcome to testify and a reason to be continously thankful. |
elunico:You should look at yourself. I said that the Scottish league in general is on par with league one or even lower. Where do the vast majority of transfers to the Scottish Premier league come from ❓ League one. What's the budget of the majority of the club's in comparison to league one clubs. What can they afford to pay players, etc, etc. These are the pertinent questions thar determine quality of the league. Not if they play in Europe. |
elunico:Actually Maja was already invited to the SE when he was playing in league one along with Eze unjustified at THAT TIME in my opinion. Thats been the general consensus for many years. In General the Scottish Premier league is on the level of League one. The vast majority of transfers to Scottish premier league come from league one. No league one club will get the opportunity. Welsh league, Cymru Premier plays in Europe does that therefore make them better than the championship, League one, etc. From my position I will place Cymru a bit below the National league in general. It's obvious you simply lack knowledge and from a position of no knowledge you are getting indignant. When we look at individual club ratings in Europe becomes a different measurement. And you will find Glasgow and Celtic above average. A comparison cannot be made with the Championship and or league one clubs because they rarely play in Europe unless they win the Cup competitions. I dont think it's about league because if we can invite players from the very lowly rated Cyprus league as well as the Isreal league and Nordic leagues. Which have a rating in excess of 20 ➕ below the EPL. Which league one will clearly compete with and possibly be better. Nonetheless, l prefer my long standing proposition, It is better to be a Lion in a lower league and club than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league. Dele Alli went from league one with MK dons to Tottenham and England all in one season. |
elunico:Aribo had spent 3 consecutive seasons with Charlton Athletic. And in the summer moved to Rangers in September he played his first game for the SE. The Scottish premier league is considered to be on the level of league one or lower. So for all intents and purposes he was more or less an EFL league one player. Although officially a Rangers players at the time he played. Funny he turned down EPL interest to play for Rangers. |
Arabiandude:What's the co-relationship with Neymar and Osimhen, l really do not get it. First of all Neymar is a world class Brazilian international played at Barcelona has been tested and proven at the highest level. Are you attempting to compare the two of them. Because Salah plays in the same league as KC does that mean they are of the same quality ❓ What's your point, can you bring more clarity please. |
Blueelf:The fact is they have a choice, does that choice mean therefore a lack of commitment and or professionalism. Once the choice has been made. Because a beautiful woman has multiple suitors does it mean she will be less loyal and or faithful when she eventually makes her choice. I do not understand your reasoning. |
ChrisKels:Bitterleaf soup mentality garnished with caustic acid for desert. |
GeneralFarouq:You miss the point. I am saying his use of the diction " Nobody is running " as well "not misbehaving and or disobeying orders" several times is alluding to the fact that this is PROBLEM. And over the years we have had several instances of this behaviour. And indeed may be much more prevalent than we believe or know We remember Baga with over 2000 soldiers multiple armoured platforms, yet over run by BOKO. My question which has remained unanswered is simply WHY ❓ WHY ❓ ❓ WHY❓ ❓ ❓ |
youghs:No No I did not get it wrong. You are using conjecture and assumption. The diction and the emphasis imply a behaviour that is not uncommon that is the pertinent question. Since the inception of this insurgency in the NE how many reports or soldiers abandoning duty posts or running have we had. I remember the NA fled into Cameroon and it was explained as a strategic retreat. I remember Gwoza five or so years ago. These are facts that may not be palatable to many. But unless you address the problem how can you find the solution. We may not want to hear this as we rely on past glories in Ecomog. but the reputation of the NA in the international scene is in shreds currently. |
youghs:The Nigerian does not have a single definitive IFV from what l can see. Please correct me of, l am wrong, but factually not by assumption. |
andrewbaba44:He was q confirmed flop at Rangers and that's not even a debate. You don't have a RIGHT to play you earn the right to play by what you do in training and on the pitch. You don't get game time if you don't perfom. When you perform so poorly in training you have already given yourself a mountain to climb. |
Blueelf:I believe in supporting your player but not to the point of delusion. Richarlison is a Brazilian international that has had 5 years of consistent continous first team football and he is just about 1 year ➕ older than Victor. Osimhen is just about getting to having completed his first two seasons of first team football. You really cannot compare the two. The fact of the matter is EPL is not French league one there is a big gulf in quality, that is the reality. And you think he will bench Richarlison. |
TheSuperNerd:It seems you take this way too seriously. All it says is that no other team particularly in the EPL presented a substantive offer for him. And in the advent or no offers you accept what you get. It doesn't mean you have some unique outstanding insight, it's very public knowledge. |
Blueelf:Before you can make that deduction you must know the player otherwise it's assumptive prejudice. |
Joebie:He has a lot of potential indeed outstanding ability. But he is plagued by injury he has spent almost the whole season injured. There was a period he had been injured for two seasons. It will be difficult for him to get a good club, because he seems unable to play a season without injury. Clubs notice these things. I had thought he was over his injury problems but it's been the case. As a result this season he has been missing in action. |
junnyjake:Victor is very good but for me and that position has been consistent for over three years and nothing has convinced me otherwise, IGHALO is number 1 and Victor is number 2. |
Arabiandude:If somebody would have told you that an English league one player in the name of Aribo. Would come in and claim jersey immediately with such impact. I am sure you would say NEVER not good enough. My approach is very simple invitation is not selection, when you perform you get selected. But what some people prefer is no competition so that there is no competition for thier preferred player. From what I can see Tosin Adarabioyo is arguably better than all of our CB's. I had once felt Dominic Iorfa was the most outstanding among the Nigerian origin defenders here in England but Tosin has gone ahead of him for now. |
