Four areas where Osimhen needs to improve

1) offside awareness
2) a more consistent touch
3) holding up the ball
4) PK conversion
How dare you criticise he who is a above any mistake.

I can imagine the knives will be out for you

The call for Kelechi Nwakali by some on this thread is purely from a tactical standpoint.

He is the best in short and long distributive passing play. He can be an asset to the team.

The talk of:

Why did a big club not notice him?
His club is going to get relegated.
He is not earning big money.
He is in a small club.
And banters

Are not tactical contributions and add nothing to the debate. The point is simple. A player to improve our ball distribution through passes. The best who can do that should be on our squad.

Finito.
It's delusional sentiment garnished with emotive favouritism.

he should leave that club asap in the summer

He needs to move to a club where he will be idolized and the clubs are Chelsea or Arsenal
Arsenal play a lot of interchanging movement very technical and unpredictable as a result Goals come from everyone.

VO is a quintessential top 🔝 level number 9, he is not a winger or anything else just a pure striker. He needs to be at the front end in a pyramid structure.

Don't think Arsenal is the best team for him.

It is my hope that someday soon, we will lay to rest this Nwakali argument. I used to think it was Iheanacho that was the most vilified player discussed on this thread but alas it is Nwakali. I wonder wetin the guy do us. When we were looking for a goalie and found Nwabali, the talk of top 5 leagues in the world wasn't loud. But each time this guy name shows up people just jump him like he stole for market.

Una say he dey play for Huesca e nor do he go Ponferradina una say na low division. He come dey Chavez now. Una dey say it's a poor team and relegation bound. Just last season, Everton was in relegation zone all the way to the last match day. Nobody called Everton names. We say let's make use of the boy's talent not because we wan market am. When will people get it?
You cannot compare the best league in the world with the Portuguese league and more so the bottom of relegation zone with very very poor quality and players in Chavez.

I say it again Enyimba will flog Chávez so also will quite a few premier league U18 teams.

that’s good. That implies that the coaches at Antwerp hv done a great job coaching out excessive and unnecessary dribbling out from him

If he can improve in his final balls and know the right time to release the ball he will be a top notch player in europe and for the super eagles

Saw him last when they played barca and porto in the ucl and i wasn’t impressed

Great dribbler with nice ball control but his final balls were abysmal in those games
Remember the best dribbler filled with astounding skill, technical ability and also Brazilian in the Eredivisie I am talking about Antony.

Ten Haag bought him for near €100 million Euros, what has been the result abysmal disgraceful failure. Even academy boys are rated higher than him.

What's the lesson, different leagues have different standards and quality. And being supposedly outstanding in a lower league may not lead to success in another one.

Remember Pepe comes to Arsenal and did ok but his £75 million price tag was not ever realised in the game.

Touching with any part of the body would have resulted in a sweet goal baba go put leg 😲

If Osimhen miss that one now person go need use earpiece dey read messages here because of noise from some people.
You are comparing apples 🍎🍏 to oranges 🍊🍊

Haaland can miss like everybody else but 18 goals in 22 games SHUTS everybody totally UP. For Norway 29 games and 27 goals. He misses but he always scores.

This issue of midfield is simple to solve.Remember our goalkeeping issue was like a difficult one but was solved in a week…..if I have my way I will invite Nwakali,Dele Bashiru,Daga,Akinsanmiro and Eletu and let’s see maybe we will not have a balance team.
Dele Bashiru is not technically proficient for me, Nwakali not even a consideration ( mediocre player)

Football ⚽ is not played behind closed doors. Once a player is doing good things clubs go after the players and not on the pages of newspapers but make bids

One of my biggest disappointments is Oviemuno Ejaria, how could he allow attitude and contentions cut short his career.

I know he is quite moody and recalcitrant but he should have some sense. He fought with Steven Gerard, Klopp ( Liverpool told him to stay ) Paul Ince, etc etc he has earned a reputation as a problem player.

Irrespective of his exceptional talent and ability he has been very unwise. Otherwise he has the ability to be that maverick midfielder that can make the difference unpredictable, inventive and creative.

It's simple mathematics all the players who scored over 10 goals in the top 5 European leagues over the past 4 season.

If you want to contend and say they are not up to a hundred do the maths and state the facts , and prove me wrong.

No goal 🥅 posts changed or evasion.

We don't need to try out any new players in my opinion. In the first game when we played à 3 man midfield, we clearly dominated and created many chances which were lost. Look at how the maligned Aribo is performing at Southampton now. Yusuf is still available, onyeka, Onyedika and even Iwobi still dey. We could play Onyeka and Yusuf/Onyedika at the basé of midfield and allow Iwobi move up. The EQ goal we conceded was a 100% useless goal to conceded through Iwobi's mistake and Osimehn sef could have had a hattrick in the same game.
Southampton consider him a crucial top player but all he gets is dogs abuse from the fans here and there. He has been outstanding for Southampton and abysmal for the SE for many.

VO scored one goal 🥅 but not a word of criticism of our world class player. In major tournament and the star player scores one goal. All the blame on the midfield and everybody else.

Onyeka and Yusuf/Onyedika that's a dead midfield with zero innovation and creativity.

Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United and the one we saw in recent Afcon is far ahead of Okoye of Udinese who can be rated as the best Nigeria keeper in term of quality league.

Nwabali should relax first cuz am seeing French league club coming for him….QPR not ideal and if one go by Saudi money, yes cool but playing in Europe division one would be better.
I would not make that deduction so quickly, "FAR AHEAD" I've seen players even teams perform way beyond all expectation in cup tournaments. But then to replicate that form consistently day in and day out in their club league becomes very problematic.

Remember Newport English League two beat a Leicester City EPL team in the FA cup quite a few years ago but could not even win promotion to league one that season.

I absolutely think Nwabali is outstanding and has brought great confidence to the SE as well as quality. He was exceptional at AFCON for us. But then I wonder was it because Uzoho and others were so abysmally poor that it made him look a lot better in our eyes 👀,l really don't know. He was undoubtedly our saviour.

A move to French league one is good so also is a move to QPR. Who will pay more money and give the longer contract ❓An outstanding season in the Championship 🏆 and the EPL will come calling.

And if you think QPR are too low they just beat Leicester City 2-1 . Bit surprised no KC and or Ndidi in the squad are they injured ⁉️

You are misinformed or giving disinformation.

VO has been averaging at least 10 goals a season for the past 6/7 seasons in different leagues.

Is that matrix enough to make a player be designated world class.

If that's not consistency, then what is?
It is CONSISTENCY but at what level,

Therefore according to your matrix, every player in Europe top 5 league that has scored more than 10 goals in the past 4 season is CONSISTENTLY world class.

You are talking maybe 100 players.

By the way VO has had three seasons in Seria A

Why do you think Ronaldo De Lima is rated as arguably the greatest No 9?
Because he could do things any others couldn't. Drop deep, create chances on his own and still score marvelous goals.
He was a one man wrecking squad.
There is a reason why Thierry Henry was/is rated over Van Nisterooy.
Henry could create chances and equally score while Van was more a poacher.

Suarez is the best striker of his generation and he was an animal. He could create, assist and score bucketloads on top.
Benzema also a fine technical striker which is why he was arguably the Best in the word in 21/22.

To say no strikers could create chances on their own means you haven't watched football enough.
Haaland is not that player, he's a poacher and there's nothing wrong with that.
Osimhen also isn't.
These players depends on their teammates service 99% of the time.
Cut off their supply and their ineffective which is why in the biggest of games like finals and Semis, they are mostly ineffective.
I disagree, Haaland is literally a freak of nature, so tall and stupendously strong, crazy fast for someone so tall. I have seen CB's literally fall over trying to stop 🛑 him.

He is not just a poacher.

Below a few power moments for Haaland on YouTube.

his name is not that difficult to call. He was called aibe and he never bothered to correct them. Even in premier league promotion videos and personal interviews, whenever he wants to say his name, he says aibe. If commentators can call James Rodriguez "hames", Jesus Gabriel "hesus", then calling ibe the correct way is possible.
You know after a while it can get very tiresome, constantly correcting day in day out , all the time.

My name was too complicated for my white Caucasians nursery and primary school mates to call. They literally bastardised and murdered my name.

And I was constantly going back and forth to different offices because my names were always spelled wrongly.

Its not so simplistic.

That squad management is pivotal to success, having strength in depth essential.

The squad was not managed strategically and there too many passengers in the squad. It's unacceptable we were entitled to 27 players but we selected 25.

I don't know if they could have got 19 year old RB Michael Kayode who has had a breakthrough season for Fiorintina. But has never played for Italian senior national team. There are quite a few others they could have got.
